At first glance, these tires seem like the general tires as usual, but if you look more closely again, then you can see the gilt and the diamonds inlay that decorated the walls of the tires, not to mention gold fibrous contours.

As quoted of Autoblog, Dubai's Z Tyre partnered with China's Sentury Tire to produce a one-of-a-kind set of performance tires to "Celebrate and recognize the true worth of its range of high performance tires".

Starting with a set of four Z1 high performance tires, Z Tyre sent the rubber to Italy, where artisan jewelers studded them with specially chosen diamonds. The tires were then sent to Abu Dhabi, where they were covered in gold leaf by the same craftsmen involved in building of the new royal palace there.

The Dubai-based company does not recommend pairing the tires on the car and park the car in any place, because it is estimated that many thieves who are eyeing and could directly steal these four gold tires when the car was parked.

Although paying with a fantastic amount of money for a set of tires might look like 'signs of the apocalypse', but Z Tyre said all proceeds from the sale of the world's most expensive tires will be donated to charity purposes.
"In keeping with the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, Z Tyre will donate all profits from the $600,000 sale to the Zenises Foundation, which focuses on improving access to education across the world," said Harjeev Kandhari, CEO of Z Tyre, as quoted of Autoblog.

The making concept of MINI Vision Next 100 not only as a car that can be privately owned, but car sharing or can be used by many people or some kind of a rental car. By carrying autonomous technology or it can drive itself to the destination without being controlled by a driver.

In general, the look of MINI Vison Next 100 inherits the BMW Next product design that has been introduced previously. One is the use of 'skin' of the body that can change according to the settings of the vehicle. In addition, the body color can also be changed automatically in accordance with the preferences of people who use it. Understandably, the concept of car sharing or in other words the car can be used by anyone.

Ian Robertson, member of the board of managements of BMW AG, Sales and Marketing, explained the exterior of the car is equipped with sensors that can identify the users.

Holger Hampf, head of user experience of BMW Group revealed any car renters should be able to feel the atmosphere he wants. Therefore, although the status of the rental car, the MINI Vision Next 100 will be able to bring private atmosphere in exterior and interior. Of course, the tenant is already connected to the vehicle via a smartphone so that the car could understand the tastes of its users.

"We could even easily change this car to see John Cooper Works if you like," said Hampf. This is the reason why the MINI Vision Next 100 does not require the instrument panel. The entire windshield also serves as a display. All features can be controlled via voice.

While it is the exterior appearance, MINI Vision Next 100 very thick with a futuristic design. Even so the typical design of the MINI as a small car that is stylish retained. At the front there are some circles that seemed to also function as a sensor. In addition, the front door of the car can be a display that show a particular images as attached to the identity of users.
If the conventional Mini car there are three doors, then the MINI Vision Next 100 comes with four doors. Two front doors opened sliding towards the front, so with two passenger doors that can be shifted to the rear. This concept gives an impression of space for entry-exit though MINI is a small dimension car.

The exterior design also looks aerodynamic lines that flow from front to belekang. However, the BMW Group has not revealed when the MINI future car that can be enjoyed by the public. But it seems the car will be introduced this year. I really hope it is soon be realized. Then, how about you? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CAR AND DRIVER]

The first factory-built custom bikes of Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield has unveiled two factory-built custom bikes at the Wheels & Waves custom bike show in Biarritz, France some time ago. This is the first time Royal Enfield has built custom bikes are based on the Classic 500 and the Continental GT motorcycles, respectively.

Both these custom motorcycles have been built in the UK. One is a dragster inspired custom while the second is a tribute to off-road machines. Let's take a look at those bikes;

1. Mo' Powa'
The first custom unveiled is a turbo charged Royal Enfield Classic 500, called Mo' Powa' - Royal Enfield's take on a drag bike. The wheelbase has been expanded and the stance lowered with a Continental GT swingarm and lowered forks with stiffer spring. The handlebar has been flattened keeping in mind the dragster look, and other modifications include K-Tech rear shocks, mounted lower that drop below the swingarm.

The most significant change is the turbo charger in the engine, the fuel injection has been replaced with a carburettor, the air box removed and the fuel gauge replaced with a boost gauge. The front wheel has been retained while the rear is a new Excel Rim larger than stock and fitting for the drag strip.

Stock tyres have been replaced with Continental TKC70 dual sport tyres. The hand-built exhaust has been fabricated by Harris Performance, and is constructed out of many small sections of tubing, resulting in a look that is only seen on professional MotoGP bikes.

2. Dirty Duck
The second custom bike called Royal Enfield Dirty Duck is built on a Royal Enfield Continental GT and recreates off-road vehicles which feature deep water wading snorkels. The snorkel has been crafted by Royal Enfield-owned Harris Performance and the air box has been modified to allow the passage of the straight-through, free flow exhaust.

The tyres have been replaced with off-road oriented Continental TKC80 rubber, mounted on original rims. An aluminium sump guard protects the motor and frame, which has been shortened at the rear to accommodate a luggage rack. Royal Enfield says the fuel tank has been naturally rusted to "tell a tale of its long life of surviving adventures."

At the front, the headlamp and instrument cluster have been redesigned and hand crafted to house two stacked projector headlamps, number plate and a small digital meter replaces the analog stock unit.
These two bikes are one-off factory customs, built for the Wheels & Waves custom festival which held in Biarritz, France from 8 to 12 June, 2016. There is no official word on the possibility of production of the Mo' Powa' and the Dirty Duck. Royal Enfield may offer these add-ons custom kits to personalise bikes to individual tastes.

Mystery of the oldest computer in the world is revealed

Scientists have uncovered the mystery of a machine called Antikythera Mechanism. Historical object was discovered 100 years ago is pointed out as the world's oldest computer. Apparently, it is a guide to study the universe. (See another unsolved mystery to this day).

Mystery began when Antikythera Mechanism found on an ancient shipwreck in the Aegean Sea in southern Greek islands in 1901. Scientists were able to uncover the function of these objects because they can only understand a fraction text in the tool.
For over a century since its discovery in an ancient shipwreck, the exact function of the Antikythera Mechanism (pictured) - named after the southern Greek island off which it was found - was a tantalizing puzzle. University of Athens professor Xenophon Moussas points at a possible reconstruction. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bEekO)
About 12 years ago, the team started to use x-ray scanning and imaging technology to analyze the 82 surviving fragments, and a bright light toward the unfolding mystery of these tools. Scientists are beginning to understand that the Antikythera Mechanism associated with astronomical purposes. With the tools, estimated the ancients Greek people can predict the position of celestial objects when viewed from Earth.

Now, after a careful effort to use cutting-edge equipment, finally the scientists could read 3500 characters or 500 words of explanatory text contained within the machine about 2100 years old.
Fragments of the 2,100-year-old Antikythera Mechanism, believed to be the earliest surviving mechanical computing device, on display at the National Archaeological Museum, in Athens. Researchers say it was a kind of philosopher's guide to the galaxy, and perhaps the world's oldest mechanical computer. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bEekO)
The letters on the machine that has a size of only 1.2 millimeters, engraved on the inside and can be seen from the front and rear of the machine. Antikythera Mechanism is a tool that is encased in wood and operated with a hand-crank. According to scientists, the use of this tool is complex because they have to look many times at dozens of scanned results.

Letters - some just 1.2 millimeters (1/20 of an inch) tall - were engraved on the inside covers and visible front and back sections of the mechanism was encased in wood and operated with a hand-crank. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bEekO)
As quoted by the Daily Mail on Friday, June 10, 2016, Alexader Jones, a history professor at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World in New York, said that Antikythera a solar and lunar calendar.

With Antikythera Mechanism, the ancients Greek people can determine the position of the Sun and Moon in the zodiac, the position of the planets in the Solar System, and predict eclipses. More broadly, Antikytera also be used to study the universe, like an astronomy book that we use today. Jones said that the finding was significant because it has provided a reference to the Ancient Greek astronomy that has not been known.

"Many details are obtained from this tool because this tool comes from Ancient Greece, "Many details are obtained from this tool because this tool comes from Ancient Greece, a period which until now has not been a lot of things are known to be associated astronomy and the basics of the technology. So the small text has meant so much to us," said Jones.

Antikythera was lifted from a shipwreck in 1901, estimated ship dates from the mid first century BC. Thus, Antikytera old 2000s years. Antikythera Mechanism found along with bronze, marble statues, glass and ceramics from shipwrecks along the 40 meters that have not been named.
The Antikythera Mechanism was named after the southern Greek island off which it was found, in a mid-1st century BC shipwreck, discovered first in 1901 in the Aegean Sea. Location of the shipwreck pictured. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1bEekO)
From the condition, estimated to ships carrying the Antikytera broke into two pieces and then sink and trapped at the bottom steep of the sea. (See the article here). *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILY MAIL]
