Found, a 1,500 year-old mummy wore 'Adidas' shoes

Archaeologists from Khovd Museum in Mongolia have discovered a unique mummy makes many netizens astonished. What was the reason? When it found, the mummy wearing 'Adidas' shoes.

The mummified remains were found at the height of 2,803 meters (9,196 feet) up in Mongolia’s Altai Mountains. The mummy, thought to be a native Turkic female, is estimated to be over 1,500 years old. Its discovery was prompted after local herdsmen stumbled across the grave and alerted the Khovd Museum.
"Style is eternal," they say. In light of that wisdom, people have been pointing out the resemblance of this recently discovered ancient mummy’s shoes to a pair of Adidas trainers, complete with their iconic stripes. Yes, it's even prompted numerous jokes of "time travel." (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1ZYpFO)
From the tomb as deep as 3 meters where the mummy is residing, were also found to saddle, bridle, clay vases, wooden bowls, iron teapots, and the bones of a horse. The most interesting was a pair of shoes that wore by the mummy. At a glance, the shoes shown the 'three stripes' of the iconic brand of the German's shoe manufacturer Adidas, and instantly make the archaeologists astonished.

Apart from the 'conspiracy theory' of the Adidas shoes, and that surely the mummy is the discovery of the first tomb of the ancient Turkic nations in Central Asia. This tribe is known lived in the area that is now called the Mongolia since 600 years before Christ.

Archaeologists hope, they could study the beliefs and burial rituals of the ancient Turkic culture in the past. Especially about the sacrifices are being included in burial rituals, such as the horse that buried along with the woman who wore the Adidas shoes. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | IFLSCIENCE]

Chery returned to tease with the Crossover Coupe concept

Quite refreshing to see a Chinese car manufacturers began to have some confidence in themselves and not copying or trying to gain access to the intellectual property of others as usual.

Not that the copycat game is over, but at least some of them try on something new and it must be said, it will not look odd in the ranks of European brands.

Chery, in particular, will show a new concept at the Auto China Show to be held in Beijing from April 25, 2016. The FV2030 is a study that can be described as a crossover coupe that does not have off-road demands.

Its most distinguishing is impressive with the front fascia and grille perforate large air intakes, the headlights are very thin, very sloping windscreen, side body semok that blends pretty well with fender gallant. Currently, FV2030 still in the form of a sketch, and hopefully soon the original form will appear. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS]

Scientists predict that in 2020 Dinosaurs come to life again

The rise of the remains of tyrannosaurus rex was not only in the Jurassic Park movies. The reason scientists have suggested, that scenario could be realized of the skeleton of pregnant tyrannosaurus rex.

Because even though the giant and child were already dead, their medullary bone was still intact. This bone growth in the dinosaur-type females during pregnancy and have more DNA than standard bone.

Lindsay Zanno, a research assistant professor of biological sciences at North Carolina State University, said there is a possibility of dinosaurs and medullary bone that contains the DNA necessary. The conditions that allowed the scientists one step closer to reintroduce the dinosaurs to the world.

Meanwhile in Chile scientists have gone one step further by successfully manipulating the genes of developing chickens so that they grew dinosaur legs. Experts modify the genes in chick embryo to develop fibulas dinosaurs on their feet (Jump to the article).

The chicken has similarities with dinosaurs because it begins from the egg. Researchers turn off the bone maturation gene called IHH or Indian HedgeHog meaning that a chicken leg developed longer, with tubular fibulas, such as dinosaurs.

Several leading experts have said that in 2050 the dinosaurs will be back roamed in the Earth' surface. Wow! *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | EXPRESS.CO.UK]

Another 7 Most Awesome Roofed Motorcycles

Some motorcycle manufacturers continue to innovate gave birth to the best products. Very intriguing, it turns out there are some that present roofed motorbikes that aims to protect the rider. In the two-wheeler automotive history has indeed sprung dozens of the roofed motorcycles that would protect the rider from weather conditions.

If initially a prototype and concept vehicles, some of which have even been mass produced. Actually there are several roofed motorcycles that we've discussed here, such as Paraves Ecomobile, Lit Motors C1, Toyota i-Road, etc.

Well, on this occasion, we summarize the article about another seven of the most awesome design of roofed motorcycles as reported by Visordown on Friday, April 15, 2016:

1. Peugeot HYmotion3 Compressor
This motorcycle was produced short after it first appeared in 2008. Not only has three wheels, this bike also uses three-wheel-drive technology. In this motorcycle planted a twin electric motors on the two front wheels and a single supercharged 125 cc can burst the power up to 20 bhp for the rear wheels.

The Peugeot HYmotion3 Compressor hybrid scooter has a top speed of 110 km/h (68.8 mph) and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 11.2 seconds.

2. BMW C1
BMW made motorcycles had become the center of attention. How not driving these vehicles as combining a motorcycle with a car. There are several the car's technologies embedded in the motorcycle. BMW even created two models with the engine capacity of 125 cc and 200 cc.

3. BMW The Simple
This was a concept bike that never actually got a proper unveiling. As with many of the car-bike hybrids with roofs, it’s actually got three wheels to lend a bit more stability but unlike the firm’s CLEVER concept, on which the rear wheels and engine remained upright while the front tilts, the Simple’s rear pair also lean. That gives it just enough of a bike-like feel to be included. The stealth fighter-esque styling is also a bonus.

4. Honda Elysium
This motorcycle concept was first exhibited in 2001 is indeed very unique. On this motorcycle planted a liquid-cooled 4-stroke flat-4 engine with a capacity of 750 cc. But, unfortunately this bike was never be produced.

The roof folds down at the touch of a button, sliding away into the rear section to make it look much more like a conventional scooter.

5. Benelli Adiva
The Benelli unique motorcycle has the roof can be folded also and very thin. This motorcycle was produced from 2001 to 2006. The front screen has a built in wiper with screen wash.

The rear luggage compartment has an 80ltr capacity with the roof folded out and is roughly halfed with the roof contained within. Benelli hopes this motorcycle will be able to become a serious challenger of the BMW C1.

6. Honda Gyro Canopy
Again, the link between roofs and a third wheel rears its head, but the Honda Gyro Canopy very much reached production. In fact, tens of thousands have been sold during a production run that started way back in 1990. Like the rest of Honda’s oddball Gyro range, the rear wheels and engine are on a separate platform that’s attached to the main structure of the bike via a pivot, allowing them to remain upright.

7. Quasar
This bike is probably the oldest roofed motorcycles on the list. Quasar was built from 1975 to 1982 and produced only 21 units. The entire power plant was taken from the Reliant Robin three-wheel car. The engine was used in absolutely standard form, giving a road-burning 41 bhp, which did not propel a 310 kg (680 lbs) motorcycle very fast.

The gearbox was also standard Reliant, but with a foot change mechanism added on, which did not offer the rider the option of using reverse. The final drive was a custom-made unit which incorporated Reliant internals. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | VISORDOWN]

The solar panels in China could change the rain into electric power

If previously the solar panels seems to be useless things when the rain fall, now the Chinese scientists managed to create solar panels capable of converting rain into electric power, but to remain can absorb the solar energy.

"The all weather solar cells is promising in overcoming the energy crisis," wrote the scientists from the Ocean University of China and Yunnan Normal University which noted that this technology combines the graphene electrode electron enriched with dye-sensitized solar cells.

They added, that the new solar cells can continue to work well on a sunny day, and when it rains. The dye-sensitized solar cells are thin-film photovoltaic cells that utilize an organic dye to absorb sunlight, and generates electrons, thereby creating energy.

"We want to make solar cells that can generate electricity both to sunny and rainy days," explained Professor Qunwei Tang, the lead author of Ocean University of China. "We believe that the all-weather solar cells will be used for a family in the future."
Scientists in China created "all-weather" graphene-coated solar panels to harness power from raindrops. In order to produce electricity from rain, they coated a solar cell with a whisper-thin film of graphene. (Picture from: FoxNews)
The Science News Journal noted that by applying a thin layer of highly conductive graphene, a solar cell can effectively harness the power of the rain.

"The salt contained in the rain is separated into ions (ammonium, calcium and sodium), making graphene and the water is naturally a great combination to create energy," the report said. "Water is completely attached to the graphene, forming a double layer (AKA pseudocapacitor) with graphene electrons. The energy difference between the layers is so powerful that generate electricity."

"During the rainy expansion in the graphene surface, delocalized electrons can be dragged by cations [positively charged ions], charging pseudocapacitance," said Tang, told FoxNews. Tang added that research on the all-weather solar cells is still in its early stages because when it rains real cation concentration is still lower than the rain water during the simulation.

China is one of the world's major solar panel manufacturers and is expected to significantly increase its own use of this technology in the coming years. In an effort to reduce carbon emissions, this country wants to increase up to three times the capacity of as much as 143 gigawatts of solar power by 2020. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FOXNEWS ]
