Researchers create a wireless electric motor

Researchers at the University of Tokyo to develop a new technology in electric motors. The sophistication of the electric motor that successfully they develop so that it does not require a cable.

Usually an electric car requires a lot of wiring systems. So placement requires special attention. But now researchers in Tokyo have found a cure. They installed an electric in-wheel motor system that can directly transmit power to each wheel without wires.

"This technology will pave the development of modern electric vehicles," said Hiroshi Fujimoto, an associate professor at the University of Tokyo and one of the researchers as quoted from The Asahi Shimbun. How does this wireless electric motor systems?

The theory is quite easy to digest. The system consists of a battery as a power supply. Power is supplied to a transmitting coil. Then from transmitting coil the power will be channeled to the receiving coil without wires. This power that would then drive the wheels.

If seen of the structure, a car with a system like this would have a lighter weight. Compared to a standard electric car, this system does not require a drive shaft which is mechanically deliver power to each wheel.

Researchers have tested it, and the results of these tests, the electric motor is inserted in this wheel, capable of running up to 75 km/h. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | THE ASAHI SHIMBUN | AUTOEVOLUTION]

Suzuki has patented their hydrogen vehicles

After more than a decade of study and experiment, Suzuki finally complete the project with hydrogen-powered electric motor. Even Suzuki has filed a patent for the electric motor unit.

Hydrogen-powered electric motor is done Suzuki through collaboration with Intelligent Energy, a British company.

As reported by the AMCN by Monday, June 8, 2015, the registration of a patent on a product of this Suzuki electric motor is equipped with hydrogen tanks. Hydrogen tank protected cylindrical structure that is integrated with the body part.

Hydrogen distribution process of the tube towards the blue box shown in the schematic drawings filed patents. The blue box is hydrogen processed into electrical energy. Then distributed to the battery that will give off energy to drive the engine.

The battery can be recharged when not in use. All processing component hydrogen and batteries also located in the central part of the motor in order to give effect to mass centralization as well as to improve handling.

Suzuki claimed the use of hydrogen energy is better when compared with the regular battery-powered electric motor. In addition, the system offers the possibility of refueling faster.
This project supports energy savings and do not cause pollution. Because the exhaust gases of combustion motors in the form of water vapor that is more friendly to the environment.

For information, Suzuki also has patented motor concept with the same technology in 2007 and 2010 are Crosscage and Burgman.

"This was a bet that I just couldn’t turn down. I’ve always loved cars and my wife knew that – which is why she challenged me to make it. It was a lot of work but it was completely worth it.

"Once everything was stripped I had to get to work on getting the two vehicles together and making it street legal," he continued.

"I had to put head lights, tail lights, turn signals, a windshield, horn, seatbelts, side-view mirrors and a rear-view mirror.

"I could still take it on to water if I wanted to but unfortunately it would sink." he said, as qouted from Mirror, on Monday, June 8, 2015.
Mark added, the car has always been the center of attention while driving and parked. In fact, this speedboat car ever offered for US. $30,000 or £19,500, or approximately Rp. 398.92 million by someone. However, he rejected with the refined and say this vehicle will be inherited to his children.

To create this unique car, Mark said it took three years at a cost of US. $10,000 or £6,491, or approximately Rp. 122.74 million. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MIRROR | AUTOEVOLUTION]
