Not just stop there, Koenigsegg also installed three electric motors, so that the total power to spur this supercar reaches 1,520 hp. With this extraordinary power, so the supercar can reach speeds of up to 400 kph, only in less than 20 seconds. There is something unique from the Koenigsegg Regera, the supercar has no gearbox like cars in general. There is no automatic transmission, torque converter, or dual clutch moreover CVT. That's because 8 months before Regera launched, Christian Von Koenigsegg as the owner of the Koenigsegg brand comes with a brilliant idea for Regera which only made 80 units worldwide.

The idea is the engine immediately drives the rear axle without aided by the transmission system, so Regera only had one fixed ratio gear coupled hydraulic clutch, three Rimac electric motors and 9.27 kWh battery, and all of which can help Regera achieve any speed required. Koenigsegg named this system as 'Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD)', and KDD weighs was 220 kg lighter than a dual clutch transmission.

Furthermore because no transmission, Regera also has no reverse gear. And what if you have to parked it backwards? By using two electric motors that located on the rear axle, can make it backwards without the need to activate its petrol engine.

Although the supercar is not a track-focused, the use of carbon fiber is preferred. As a result, the Regera has a weight of 1,628 kg, lighter than the Lexus RC-F. If you want to know the Regera top speed, maybe we'll tell you later, because Koenigsegg itself has yet to get the Regera top speed.
Well for those prospective customers who are interested can start ordering the Koenigsegg Regera at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. For the price is quite fantastic. For one unit of the Regera supercar will be sold at priced of US. $1.89 million, or approximately Rp.24,5 billion. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | INAUTONEWS]
