The Renault's solution for the goods delivering in the future

Today, there are many signs of vehicles that will decorate the road in the future - ranging from the electric vehicles to autonomous ones. Well, the French automotive giant Renault also expressed the same statement, where all future vehicles will be electrically powered, interconnected, and autonomous.

So it is not excessive if the automotive company founded on February 25, 1899 has begun to present these future transportation modes. Instead of choosing to design the passenger vehicle modes, Renault prefers to develop an electric-powered autonomous vehicles that function to deliver goods.

As reported by the New Atlas (9/20/2018), there's an electric pod released by Renault, named Renault EZ-Pro concept will serve shipping services for various types of goods - its development plan is delivered by the French company at the 2018 Hannover Motor Show, some time ago.

"Renault EZ-Pro represents our vision of last-mile goods shipping that is integrated with the ecosystem of future smart cities and strives to meet the needs of professionals," said Ashwani Gupta, Senior Vice President for Light Commercial Vehicles for Alliance, Renault, Nissan , and Mitsubishi.

One thing that lies behind the birth of the Renault EZ-Pro is the growth of online shops that are increasingly massive. Where they believe that with the presence of the vehicle, it will be very useful for shipping goods purchased by people online. "It is almost certain, every day there are hundreds to thousands of packages sent by the sellers of online stores to their customers," said Ashwani.

Looking at the general specifications of the Renault EZ-Pro itself, the vehicle actually consists of several vehicle series led by one vehicle. Although all of these vehicle series can run autonomously, Renault can add a joystick feature in the main vehicle, "If needed," explained Ashwani.

The capacity of goods transported by a series of follower vehicles can also be arranged as needed. Such as consumers need a large enough space to transport, for example, a refrigerator or washing machine, then the follower vehicles will be personalized first by Renault - even if consumers only need small spaces to send a small size of packages.

And the goods recipient can also interact with the delivery staff through special features embedded in the vehicle that has a futuristic design.
"Renault EZ-Pro prioritizes the efficiency and cost savings in all sectors - and most importantly is environmentally friendly because it uses electricity." closed Ashwani. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | POCKET-LINT | CARSCOOPS | NEW ATLAS]
