Korean Stinger will be stung the tarmac soon

Seeing KIA GT4 Stinger Concept on display at the NAIAS 2014 in Detroit is arguably it was one of the stars on the show. The concept vehicle is ready to drive on the street and fitted with the right engine. With performances like that, the Auto Express magazine says that this vehicle could be a production car in 2016.

KIA's new sports car has a 2+2 seating configuration and appear with the coolest of 'Tiger Nose' grille patterned and its LED headlights are mounted vertically. Still on the front, there is also a carbon fiber front splitter and ventilated engine hood which creates a sporty impression.

According to Tom Kearns, the designer behind the GT4 Stinger explained that, "this is a total concept." Nonetheless, continued Tom, if one day the company intends to produce it, then it do not need to change too much. Kearns said the production version will probably not use vertical LED lights that consume attention and part-pillars are translucent.

It’s powered by a turbocharged f2.0-liter 4-banger motor that pushes out 315 hp and is rear-wheel drive. It also comes equipped with a  6-speed manual transmission, a set of 20" alloy wheels and Brembo brakes outfitted with 4-piston calipers. And because not all concepts keep original styling when produced, much of this sexiness might not transfer over to the actual production model, but at least KIA is on to something.

KIA today will see the first public response to the GT4 Stinger, before rocking is worthy to enter the production phase. So far the public response is very positive. The selling price of these vehicles also will compete with the Toyota GT-86 even with the future generations of Mazda MX-5 Miata.
So that the vehicle can be more affordable, of energy that reaches more than 300 hp will be trimmed in such a way to make this vehicle capable of achieving significant volume gains for the company. Reportedly also, if the car is so produced, GT4 Stinger will also bear a convertible model.. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | KIA | AUTO EXPRESS | WORLD CAR FANS | AUTOBLOG]
