The 'Astro Boy' will be launched into Space

Red boots that used by Kirobo and Mirata makes these robots are very similar with Astro Boy, a robotic superhero in Japanese anime. Not only its appearance that makes Kirobo similar to the anime characters, but the robot which are created by Japanese company Dentsu in conjunction with Toyota, University of Tokyo, and the Japanese space agency (Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency / JAXA), is also able to perform an attractive gestures.

The two robots that use the white helmets will be launched into space by JAXA in summer 2013 and the Astronaut on the International Space Station (ISS) will be chatting with the robot.

Kirobo and reserves robot, Mirata were created through the Kibo Robo project. In fact, the robots were endowed with voice recognition, natural language processing, speech synthesis, realistic body language and facial recognition for that very reason. The human-shaped robots be able to speak in Japanese. The robot joints are designed so that his body could be moving swiftly.

The robot is scheduled for launch to the ISS on August 4, 2013. The Japanese astronaut, Koichi Wakata, had been waiting in orbit to chat with Kirobo. Introductory video that uploaded on YouTube shows Kirobo could say, "I'm a robot astronaut." Robots also respond when others asked him to speak.

The Japanese robot is used to test the interaction of humans and robots. Robot makers also want to inspire people on Earth that robots can function perfectly in a variety of circumstances. Many people doubted the robot ability as a therapeutic tool.
