Atacama's Tiny Mystery: Alien or Mutated Human?

~We Are Not Alone~ Recent news has generated significant interest in the Mexican Congress, where a hearing and presentation regarding a peculiar discovery took place—two bodies resembling those of extraterrestrial beings, estimated to be around 1000 years old. Naturally, this revelation has sparked a wide range of public reactions. Before delving into this intriguing case, let's briefly revisit a similar incident that occurred in Chile back in 2013.

Standing at a mere 15 centimeters (6 inches) in height with an oddly swollen head, it's no wonder that many initially suspected the skeletal remains found in Chile's Atacama Desert to be that of an alien or a creature from another world. However, as it turns out, the Atacama Alien, discovered two decades ago, was, in fact, human.

This revelation comes to us via a documentary titled 'Sirius,' which sheds light on the results of DNA tests conducted on this diminutive humanoid figure. The story of the so-called 'alien' named Ata dates back to October 19, 2003 when it was discovered by Oscar Munoz in the abandoned settlement of La Noria.

Ata was found nestled near a deserted church, swathed in white cloth. Described in a Chilean newspaper quoted by the Daily Mail on April 25, 2013, the skeletal figure boasted an oversized and oval-shaped head, no larger than a pen. The Daily Mail further reported, "This creature had hard teeth, a head bulging with strange bumps, and dark-colored, scaly skin." It's worth noting that Ata had just nine ribs, setting it apart from typical human anatomy.

Since Ata's discovery, speculations about its origins have run wild. Some theorized that Ata might have been a human or monkey fetus that was tragically aborted prematurely. Others, however, leaned toward the notion that Ata could be an extraterrestrial being, an alien from another world.

The documentary 'Sirius,' which premiered in Los Angeles on Monday, April 22, 2013, was seen as a groundbreaking moment for those intrigued by the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Enthusiasts of the ET and UFO phenomena speculated that the film could provide compelling evidence of alien presence on Earth.

In the film, Steven M. Greer, the filmmaker and founder of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and the Disclosure Project, asserted that Ata was indeed an extraterrestrial. However, Garry Nolan, the Director of Stem Cell Biology at Stanford University's School of Medicine in California, contested this presumption.
The new study also casts doubts on the apparently ‘elongated skull,’ arguing that it appears normal for a preterm fetus that has been delivered. (Picture from: DailyMail)
Nolan argued that Ata was far from extraordinary or paranormal. He explained, "This is a human with fascinating mutations." This assertion was based on the results of DNA tests conducted on Ata, which were presented in the 'Sirius' documentary. The DNA analysis unequivocally refuted claims that Ata was a human or monkey fetus. Instead, the scientific findings revealed that Ata was a mutated human who could have survived for 6 to 8 years after birth.

As per the Chilean government and scientists who have scrutinized this matter closely, the skeleton was reportedly removed from the country without proper authorization, and the subsequent scientific investigations should never have been conducted.

Furthermore, the controversy over Atacama 'aliens' deepens; Follow-up research into the 6-inch Chilean mummy uncovered faulty methods and ethical issues, finding it was a NORMAL human fetus and 'reflects a devastating loss for the mother'.
In conclusion, the enigmatic 'Atacama Alien,' which once fueled theories of extraterrestrial existence, has ultimately revealed itself to be a remarkable case of genetic mutation in a human. While the fascination with extraterrestrial life endures, this particular discovery serves as a testament to the astonishing diversity and variations that can occur within our own species, illuminating the incredible tapestry of life here on Earth. *** [EKA [01052013] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILYMAIL | FOXNEWS | MAHARDIKA SATRIA HADI | KORAN TEMPO 4214]
