A crazy idea of Megapro Techno Fighter

The Honda Modif Contest 2016 event produced many cool and unique motorcycles. One of them, the work of Charles Wawolangi dubbed Megapro Techno Fighter.

"Initially, just thought to make an extreme motorcycle," said Charles. By the extreme word, then directing him to browse on internet and saw many forms of motorcycle concept. "From there,  I convinced myself to choose techno concept," explained the owner of the Manado-based workshop R1 MotorSport (in Jalan Wolter Monginsidi No. 173, Manado).

According to him, all parts installed on the motorcycle were custom made. Only the engine alone was left of the 2003 Honda Megapro. And the time required to build this bike was three months, and the most complicated process was the frames making.

Its techno nuance is realized by forming a new frames construction. The motorcycle frameworks are composed of several pipe sizes. Diameter of 2 inches were used to the main frame, while the size of 1.5 inches and 1 inch is made to the subframe.

Then the frame directly connected to the front wheels. The design was inspired after he saw the figure of Bimota Tesi. "I think the front frame construction which is directly connected with the front wheel represents the shape of modern design," he said further. While for the body, Charles chose the streetfighter motorcycle concept. By relying on the carbon fiber materials, the shape of the body was made with full sharp indentations.

According to Charles, the most unique part of this motorcycle is how to work motorcycle suspension. Therefore, it could go up and down so make it remains comfortable when riding on the highway.

"Even, to drive the motorcycle was no longer used the chain, but already replaced by the rubber belt. It make the sound of the bike is more subtle, because if used the chain certainly has a large size and also caused the noise when the motorcycle running." he said.
Due to all components are custom made, then the costs to build this bike is quite expensive, reaching $3,693 or approx Rp.50 million. However, Charles was satisfied, because it could be one of the winners and grabbed the title in the FFA under 2006 class at the Honda modification event.

Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of two-wheeled monster and stay alive with the true safety riding. May God will forgive Your sins and so does the cops.... ••• [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | OTOMANIA | OTOPLUS]

Lexus spaceship featured in an upcoming Hollywood sci-fi movie

Collaboration between the auto makers with the movie makers are already common. Usually, the latest cars starred a particular television series. You can see an example of some of the Hollywood's box-office movies such as "Fast and Furious", "Transformers", or "James Bond".

But, what if the film tells the story of the 28th centuries? Of course there is no manufacturer that has been producing or designing a car for use in next few centuries. In addition, by using a car with today's technology for the film tells the story of human life in the next 700 years certainly not realistic.

Lexus faced this challenge when collaborating with renowned movie director Luc Besson in making the movie titled "Valerian and the City with a Thousand Planets," a science fiction film that will be aired in July 2017 and is an adaptation of a comic titled "Valerian and Laureline".

In the film, starring by Clive Owen, Ethan Hawke, and Rihanna, one of the future vehicles of Lexus has been shown up on the screen. The vehicle named SkyJet was designed by Lexus in collaborating with creative team of Valerian movie.

SkyJet itself was designed by Takeaki Kato, head engineer of Lexus and a Japanese design firm who commissioned to design a picture of the universe in the 28th century. They created a spaceship with one passenger that streaking like a jet, but still similar to the Lexus cars that existed now.

In the trailers that have been released, the car looks like flying whales streaking in a corridor of the city of the future named Alpha. If you are observant, you will see the Lexus logo on the tip of the SkyJet snout.
"In this partnership, we look for a brand that pioneered the innovation and technology, which is more focused on the future rather than the past," said Luc Besson in a statement. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOEVOLUTION]

A 5,650 years old ancient site was discovered near the Stonehenge

The existence of the Stonehenge site in England is still mysterious. Until now no one has convinced how and for what the giant boulders monument were built in Neolitthic era. However, a latest discovery is likely able to help unravel the mysteries of Stonehenge.

Yes, a prehistoric complex has been found in a city called Larkhill in Wilshire, England in about 2.4 km from the Stonehenge site. The complexes have been built around 5,650 years ago or 1,000 years earlier than the Stonehenge.
A new discovery could help shed light on why the mysterious Stonehenge was built. The large complex, found in a city around 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the famous stone circle, is thought to date back more than 1,000 years before Stonehenge. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1g4olk)
The archaeologists estimate that these complexes are a sacred place where people in the Neolithic era performing ritual activities and party. The objects found include cattle bone, ceramic plates, as well as the remains of human bones. From these findings explained that long before Stonehenge was built, the region is often used as the place in which an ancient ritual activity took place.
The researchers, led by Wessex Archaeology, found evidence of ceramic vessels (left) and arrowheads (right). (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1g4pI0)
This discovery will certainly help solve the mystery of Stonehenge site that had been thought by scientists as the tombs or temples. Even some researchers who argue as a giant observatory in ancient times to observe the stars.

The archaeologists discovered the site accidentally, when the UK MoD is preparing for the construction of military housing complex in the region.

"Sites that have recently been found is one of the most exciting findings. The present finding is changing the way we think about activities of the Neolithic community around the Stonehenge," said Martin Brown, the archaeologist leader of the WYG consulting firm as quoted by the Daily Mail on Monday, November 21, 2016.

The MoD currently is funding the areas that will be fully explored to find out more is what happening under the site. So far the archaeologists have dug about 17 percent of the area and conduct further research on these findings. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DAILY MAIL]
