A new Honda's 300 cc Café Racer Concept

Honda, in addition to making mass production motorcycles is also preparing a modification concept to an existing model. More recently, Japan's leading motorcycle manufacturer introduced the figure of 'Honda 300 TT Racer.' This café racer motorcycle concept actually has been shown on Honda's booth in the Bangkok Motor Show 2016 held some time ago.

The Honda's R & D division modification motorcycle is then registered its patent by Honda Japan. Filing a patent is to prevent the irresponsible use it to create a similar design. As quoted from Motorcyclenews, the figure of Honda 300 TT Racer built from the base of Honda CB300F, but its form is still a concept and not worthy of taking to the streets.

In the process, Honda stripping out the instrument panel and rear-view mirror. In addition, some parts are also not meet regulations such as its short tail whose dimensions do not exceed the rear wheel and the exhaust is not equipped with a catalytic converter.

The Honda 300 TT Racer design also gets the influence of Honda CB1100F in the tank. This design also does not rule out the possibility useful for bolt on accessories package for similar motorcycle owners who want to change the style of ordinary naked bike into a café racer or a scrambler.
Unfortunately, the retro motorcycle enthusiasts will surely be disappointed because Honda 300 TT Racer does not go into the Honda's dealer network or not sold freely in the future. At least, the figure of this motorcycle can be a fresh inspiration for you who want to modify your favorite motorcycle.

From Russia with a Custom Café Racer

A Russian biker named Sam Maksimovsky seems so obsessed with the café racer classic style. These changes are visible in the figure of his 'Caff36' bike that is built using a base of 1976 Honda CB500T.
The custom café racer bike called Caff36 was built of 1976 Honda CB500T by 36 Customs. (Picture form: http://adf.ly/1dQG6F)
He entrusted the modification work of his CB500T motorcycle to a modification workshop named 36 Customs, where the process took almost eleven months.

First work that is targeting the framework sector in which to make the café racer typical riding position, the workshop should be cut and reposition the frame making it more compact and lightweight. Then, they make a simply short seater, and formed the rear section like a wasp tail that is the hallmark of café racer style.

The next step which is to beautify the engine of CB500T with a touch of polish and paint, so it could give a dramatic effects on this old Honda motorcycle. To use a simple custom exhaust system with its silincer angle rather looked up.

For the legs also did not escape of changes, using the wheels and width tread tires also became the bike trademark. Furthermore, the finishing touch aka paint job, the CB500T café racer custom bike got the 'bursts' of white with transverse lines in black (thick) and red (thin) blends nicely with chrome accents.
We thought, course that's a good looking café racer motorcycle. The prove is when the motorcycle participated in the Moscow Custom & Tuning Show 2013 held at Crocus Expo (MOTOPARK 2013) and won a prize in the category of 'Best Metric Project'.

A noisy, skinny and charming Café Racer

It feels proud to be able to build an old motorcycle, especially when rewarded with the top prize when following a contest. This is what might be perceived by Larry Houghton and his crew of Lamb Engineering, at the time they managed to reach the championship title on the Custom Chrome International Bike Shows 2011, in Mainz, Germany.

At the time, Larry was carrying a 1951 BSA Goldstar motorcycle that has been modified in such a way and given the name "Son of a Gun". If you see the picture and said, "This is not the BSA Goldstar," then Larry and his crew will understand. Because, its original form almost nothing left anymore.

Motorcycles are becoming champion in the Championship Class was carrying the ZB machine model of the year of 1951 were estimated capacity of 499 cc. Larry claims that the machine was noisy and originally used for the race. And the transmission system taken from the BSA M20 military motorcycle.

They then create forged steel frame and welded so as to produce the "skinny" impression. Meanwhile, the handlebars, fuel tank up to the stern made with the cafe racer style. It then combined with the bare-chains. It also get the inverted front forks, while the front and rear legs fitted with 17-inches sized alloy wheels and then wrapped with the Talon supermoto typical tires.

A unique, rear suspension seemed to be left alone. It no longer "assigned" hold the rear tires directly, but made as if monoshock (though there were two suspensions) and attached directly to the machine frame.

"Its style is a mix between the 1960 Honda racing motorcycle and Yamaha FS1E," said Larry. He was with the team spends up to 1,200 hours to build this bike and buy some spare parts from eBay.
The total cost of the construction of the gold, chrome bodied "Son Of A Gun" has reached US $9,800, or approx Rp.90 million and does not include the crew cost. That's worth priced for a champion trophy. At least, Larry can smile proudly that time.

2Shot BMW R nineT wrapped in aluminum suits

BMW R nineT be the dream of every builder because this bike is very exclusive for custom-made. From the engine side and the performance, this bike has a value which is very cool. As well as the model, the German motorcycle manufacturer deliberately create a classic motorcycle, to remember the BMW's glory days in the '80s era.

But all the advantages it seemed would be a challenge for the builders, such as Stuart is currently living in Sydney, Australia. This work was born after he underwent a period of healing as a result of his accident.

"I had plenty of time to think about building this bike. First of all I have to buy and try it directly, but it turns out it is a misnomer," says 2Shot owner, Vaughan.

They decided to modify it and begin the work of the fuel tank. They throw away the original tank, and rebuild it so fairing with retro shapes can be applied.

From the fender to the tail also changed uniforms with the front of the motorcycle. The entire body is made of aluminum with the help of machines to form any curves.

The end result is pretty cool. With the bodywork like that, they obviously have to spend a lot of energy especially side effects are also very much.
But they believe, the boxer engine with a capacity of 1,170 cc of the motorcycle is still very strong. Although not differ by type of retro BMW engines, but modern technology is applied to the engine deems to be very functional.

A unique-flat bodied racer of Krugger Motorcycles

Are you remember with the terrible Fred Krugger in one of the famous horror movies in 1990s? But unlike the Krugger who's coming from Belgium, he was not terrible and very stable in terms of motorcycles, since he was Fred Betrand, a 2-time Belgian national enduro champion, and a successful ex-rally driver as well as the owner of a home modification named Krugger Motorcycles.
The Krugger Buell XB12R Goodwood. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cNyEE)
Many brilliant ideas of custom built/modified motorcycles were born from them. One of them is visible on the BMW K 1600 NURB, which crowned as the AMD World Championship 2014 title holder.
Left side view of the Krugger Buell XB12R Goodwood. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cNyEE)
Now, we will discussed another creations of the Krugger Motorcycles on the Buell motorcycle which then was overhauled and called "Goodwood". One observers said that the motorcycle made by Krugger like blend of stream line body shape of an old Ducati motorcycle which was thick with the Italian taste, then brought V-twin engine style of American motorcycle as well as futuristic style of Japanese motorcycles. So, the motorbike design was very global.!
Fred 'Krugger' Betrand with his Buell XB12R Goodwood land speed racer at the Bonneville Salt Flat. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cO01e)
Interestingly, there's an air funnel was installed near the fuel tank, like a submarine's periscope. That's how the motorcycle's looks when used in the Bub Speed Trials at the Bonneville, Utah in 2011 ago. Regarding the functions, it seems the design does not overly support the aerodynamics as the another vehicles while lauched on the salt lake tracks. However, it complements the interesting forms on this bike. One of them is the composition of the impression of large, flat, and length.

Motorbike's look could be so because of the use of hanging carburetor so that the engine can be a bit up and allow the  motorcycle body to be as lying down. Then, the short front shock absorbers fitted, and the rear suspension has a nearly zero-degree angle or parallel to the machine.
Rear side view of the Krugger Buell XB12R Goodwood. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1cNyEE)
The big and round impression also came thanks to the installation of the aft seat, aerodynamic shield, and wheels with 19-inch alloy wheels size 120/70 (front) and 180/55 18-inch alloy wheels (rear). Yes, larger diameter front wheels, but more slender, which are characteristic of American chooper motorcycles. Other brilliant idea is the placement of a compact dual exhaust stored in the stern and was made top-down.
Motorcycle made by the Belgium modifier was originally using Buell XBR 985 cc engine and nearly all of its parts are the Krugger's special custom made, except framework, flywheels, pistons, slinder, and transmission are still the bike's original default. To make the motorcycle, they spent time of 90 days, and was not in vain because later the Goodwood placed 4th in the 2007 AMD European Championship for Freestyle category.
