For decades, it’s been beloved by riders around the world for its charm and compact design. Behind this jaw-dropping build is Adrian Mortimer from OORacing, who dedicated an incredible 20 years to crafting this beast. The goal? To reshape the tiny Honda Monkey into a machine that could dominate the drag strip while still keeping the soul of the original intact. What sounds like a simple idea turned out to be an incredibly complex project. Every inch of this bike had to be reconsidered, reengineered, and reconstructed—all while working around the limited space the Monkey offers.

The most jaw-dropping part of the transformation lies in the heart of the machine. The stock single-cylinder engine was pumped up to 170cc and fine-tuned to push out a staggering 50 horsepower. Yes, you read that right—50 horses from what was once a humble little engine. This massive power boost was made possible with a custom-developed turbocharger system, making Project Napier is the only Honda Monkey in the world sporting this kind of drag-spec turbo setup.

Fitting all the critical components—fuel pump, coil sensor, ECU, intercooler, battery—into such a compact frame was an engineering puzzle in itself. But Mortimer found a way to balance form and function, managing to squeeze all the necessary parts into the limited chassis without compromising the look or performance of the machine. What emerged was not just a visually aggressive bike, but one that actually lives up to its intimidating appearance.

Testing the limits of its potential, Project Napier was taken to the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah—a proving ground for speed records. There, the turbo Monkey hit a jaw-dropping 100 mph (around 160 km/h). For a bike of this size, those numbers aren’t just impressive—they’re astonishing. It takes a remarkable combination of skill, patience, and obsession to achieve such a result, and Mortimer’s commitment truly shines through.
Project
Napier isn’t just a radical take on a classic—it’s a celebration of how
far creativity and technical brilliance can go when pushed to the
limit. While it started life as a humble Honda Monkey, this bike now
stands as a one-of-a-kind machine with global recognition, built not for
showrooms, but for speed and innovation. It’s a bold reminder that even
the smallest motorcycles can make the biggest statements when in the
hands of someone who dares to dream big.Kept spur your adrenaline on the power of two-wheeled monster and stay alive with the true safety riding. God will forgive Your sins and so does the cops.... *** [EKA [23072016] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | OORACING | RIDEAPART | PIPEBURN ]
