The newest Piaggio's Café Racer

Piaggio, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer are based in Pontedera, which usually makes scooters, but this time they produced a café racer model under their famous brand of 'MotoGuzzi' and given a name 'Verde Legnano Special Edition 2015'.

This vehicle is presented as the appreciation for a figure of very rare motorcycles, ie 1971 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport Telaio Rosso. Designed by Lino Tonti, the 1971 V7 Sport was intended to be the first five-speed production motorcycle that weighed 200 kg (440 lbs) and could reach a speed of 120 mph.

Tonti created a special frame design to house the 748cc V-Twin, and Moto Guzzi highlighted it with a initial run of 150 units with a red frame (telaio rosso, in Italian). As quoted from Motorcycle.com, the Verde Legnano made by bringing the café racer classic design as the original model that was popular in the 1970s.

By using striking green chrome colors that adorn the fuel tank. While the chassis was given a red paint and the rear section uses a black color. Motorcycle that rely on a V-engine with a capacity of 700 cc, it is no wonder if the weight of this bike to reach 200 kg and uses a five-speed manual transmission system.

This bike is scheduled to go on sale in the North America market later this month (March 2015) at a price of US. $10.999 or approximately Rp. 142 million. Hurried up!!  If you want to have it.
