Seeing the Lexus's sophisticated bike

The Lexus brand is known as a premium cars manufacturer. However, their expertise in building bikes was equally sophisticated than when they making the LX570 class cars. This is evident when the Lexus was showcase the NXB Concept mountain bike at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013 in last December.

The NXB is a continuation of the Neo eXtreme Bike is truly a bike that pedaled by human power, not motorcycles or electric. However, the bike has great specs like a motorcycle.

But make no mistake! NXB has a series of sophistication that is inherited from its predecessor, the F Sport road bike. And as is known, the F Sport itself is produced from the same mold former with the Lexus LFA supercar.

One of the sophistication of embedded on NXB chassis is the applications of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) material. The same material with the chassis and body of the Lexus LFA supercar. The advantage is not only strong, but also ultralight.

But unlike the F Sport that carry a road bike genre, the NXB further highlight design as a mountain bike. Seen from a handlebar with extensions design that similar with the triathlon bikes. And do not miss, its front suspension up side down from KYB.
