One day sunshine be able to provide the same performance with a hybrid electric car, according to the company also, by adding that the car driving can reduce exhaust emissions usually can reach four metric tons of the car - the same amount issued by a house in the U.S. in four months.

SunPower, which has become partner of solar technology for Ford Motors since 2011, providing solar cells to the car roof. Because it takes a long time to absorb enough energy to power the vehicle in full, Ford asked for help at the Georgia Institute of Technology to increase the sunlight to make a solar power hybrid that can be used in daily life.

The Ford C-MAX Solar Energi Concept is estimated to have the same total range as a conventional C-MAX Energi of up to 998 km (620 miles), including up to 21 electric only miles. Additionally, the vehicle still has a charge port and can be charged by connecting to a charging station via cord and plug so that drivers retain the option to power up via the grid.
This car was exhibited at the 2014 International CES show in Las Vegas that was held on January 7 to 10. After the event, Ford Motors and Georgia Tech will begin testing the vehicle in a number of real-world scenarios to see whether the concept is feasible for mass production. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | VOA NEWS | INHABITAT | MONEY CNN]
