Central-engined sports car concept from Honda

Not typical of Honda to make a convertible and even been banned by Soichiro Honda. But that was the past, and now that's why Honda did not hesitate to try to make a tangible roadster concept car with the open top and will be presenting the Honda S660 in prestigious event Tokyo Motor Show 2013 on Nov. 23 to Dec. 1, 2013.

Honda S660 is a central-engined roadster concept with rear-wheel drive. For its exterior design is very futuristic that showed a True Roadstar and specially designed for 2. Made wide front grille with slanted eyes. Looks sporty rear lights with LED lights.

In line with the outside of the S660 cabin design, with very futuristic dashboard. Various instrument panel placed circular around the steering wheel like an aeroplane cockpit. And make its suround view look spacious. Honda S660 roadster look with unique design. Its size seems small as the Kei car and its design takes a lot of inspiration from EV-STER, the Honda electric car concept which was exhibited two years ago.

The use of the S660 name was also impressed classic. In the last 1960s Honda has also been presented the roadsters in the form of the Honda S600 and S800. Honda calls this car as the 'open-top sports mini type vehicle' and weighs only about 390.54 kg (861 lbs), as quoted from Jalopnik. Just as the name implies, the petrol turbo engine that has a capacity of 660 cc with only 67 horsepower and rear-wheel drive.

The good news is Honda set up the S660 will make its production debut in Japan for the 2015 model year, in time for the automaker’s return to Formula One.
