5 Best Concept Cars in 2013 Geneva Motor Show

The 2013 Geneva Motor Show more sparkle with the presence of high-priced cars of supercars type and other luxury cars. Most of the production of the United States and Europe. However, manufacturers based in Asia classmates Japan and Korea, not only featuring the latest cutting-edge car.

Japanese and Korean manufacturers picked up the baton, however, displaying some striking creations that could become a production reality before too long.

1. KIA Provo
KIA Provo Kia coupe and hatchback combines style with technology and hybrid engines. 1.6-liter turbo GDI engine (Gasoline Direct Injection) that powered of 201 hp.

This car also equipped with an electric motor to drive both rear wheels (so the system serves 4-WD) and a 7-speed DCT (Double Coupling Transmission), was first applied to the KIA car.

2. Toyota i-Road

The vehicles that have a long dimension of 2,350 mm, 1,445 mm height, 850 mm width, and 1,700 mm of wheelbase, this vehicle also equipped with lithium-ion batteries to drive 2KW engine, which paired with the power at the front wheels respectively, 2.7 PS.

The battery charging can run for three hours, with a cruising range reaches 48.2 km. Toyota i-Road can carry two passengers, with position was under the protective roof. The front suspension uses lean actuator and gears so that the driver can get the balance without down his legs. The component is connected on the anchor to the front wheels. This construction is designed so that when cornering i-Road remained stable.

This technology called Active Lean is controlled by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The Gyro-sensors detect wheel turn angle and speed while cornering and then the data was sending to the ECU.

3. Honda NSX
Honda NSX Concept appears with the shape and design more sophisticated. Honda's new NSX will be introduced in 2014, but was present in the Honda booth at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

The design stays remarkably true to the original concept styling, maintaining its low and wide stance with the dynamic and alluring proportions that are highlighted by clean, modern and simple surfacing, and edgy details that communicate supercar attitude and a high-tech feel.

The NSX Concept has design and technology of the future supercar, and brought a V6 engine with the sport hybrid system that called SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive).

The new NSX Concept offers a glimpse at one potential direction for the next-generation NSX’s interior design. The interior package boasts outstanding visibility, a strong driving position, and an intuitive “Simple Sports Interface” that minimises interior clutter, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience. Consistent with the spirit of the original NSX, Honda’s designers have strived to deliver synergy between man and machine.

"V6 VTEC engine Direct injection enriched with 2 Electric Motor Drive Unit. System Sport Hybrid SH-AWD will make the NSX is the remarkable expression of Acura idea to create synergy between man and machine," said Takanobu Ito, President and CEO of Honda Motor Company.

4. Nissan Resonance
Resonance is the development of the Nissan Murano. Cars with golden nuanced color comes with a futuristic exterior design. According to Nissan, their concept car also comes with energetic lines design.

At the muzzle, Nissan presents V-Motion that starting from the car's grille with the shape resembles the 'V' letter, and continues to the hood, and combined with the main lights shaped like boomerang.

The car pillar D looks biased to the rear glass and lights. On the rear side of the car, Resonance looks dashing with the bulging fenders. Nissan resonance using a hybrid engine with a capacity of 2,500 cc, which is powered by two electric motors are very powerful and are also equipped with the latest advanced CVT transmission.

5. Toyota FT-86 Open
FT-86 Concept Open enliven the Toyota booth at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. This convertible concept car uses a multi-layered canvas roof equipped with rear glass. The roof can be electronically folded back seat.

FT-86 Open Concept comes with a bright white color reminiscent of the yachts. While the navy blue canvas roof that contrast. On the interior, the seats also white with yellow stitching matching color of the carpet.

This concept car used a capacity of 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine that produces 200 hp of power, the same as the coupe version. While for perfectly channeling energy to the rear wheels this car using 6-speed manual or automatic transmission system, while the suspension system, steering and brakes the same as the coupe version.
