The Best 5 Finalists of Car of the Year 2013

Entering the new year of 2013, Institution Car of the Year (ICoY), the world's leading automotive institute has prepared the award for the best cars in the world. This award includes a model made for the year of 2013 and was introduced in the second half of 2012 in the global automotive market. Total of 8 cars used as the Car of the Year 2013 finalist. what the best variants assessed? Apparently the choices range from the compact city cars to the expensive high speeds sports cars. Finalists are the Ford B-Max, Hyundai i30, Mercedes Benz A-Class, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio, Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86, Volkswagen Golf and Volvo V40.

Announcement of the winner of Car of the Year (CotY) 2013 will be conducted on March 4, 2013 at annual automotive event the Geneva Motor Show 2013. CotY is an international award, judged by the judges panel from the European senior journalists. The purpose of this award is named the new cars sold most extraordinary in the 12 months before the date of the coronation. Among the eight finalists, there are 5 attractive finalists for modern design, dynamic and elegant coupled with the outstanding performance of the car.

1. Renault Clio

Clio is a compact city car from Renault that has made quite a good market at the global level. In addition to its dynamic look and cater for cosmopolitan society is also supported by a powerful engine performance and lightly while accelerated. This is because the Renault's engineers installed 4-cylinder inline engine with 2.0 liter capacity that capable to producing 203 PS of power and 215 nm of torque.

Even as performance, currently Renault collaborating with the Red Bull's F1 team to make the Clio RS RBR RB7 which is only sold in five countries: France, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and Austria. For each unit the price offered starting at 27,900 euros (approximately U.S $35 thousand or Rp. 335 million).

2. Peugeot 208

Peugeot 208 is the next generation of the popular series 206 and 207. The 208 series got levels rise after production of the GTi version began. Appearance with more macho and the addition of accessories and greater power. The model scheduled will go on sale in the second half of 2013.

3. Toyota 86 & Subaru BRZ

These two sports car were brother, Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ got the Top Safety Pick achievment from the American's Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
