Google Releases Source Code Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Google Inc.. released the source code for the newest operating system, Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

In the words of Jean-Baptiste Queru, a Google engineer in Google Groups, the source code with the name "Ice Cream Sandwich" is actually an Android version 4.0.1.

"This is the source code that will be used on smart phones Samsung Galaxy Nexus," writes Queru.

Source code can be downloaded from this moment on the Android Open-Source Project. Queru remind developers to source code to be patient because this is a rather large file and takes time to download.

One thing to note, in fact up to now Google has not even released the source code for Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb, which has been much adapted to the tablet device. If you want to order, should the company led Larry Page announced the Android 3.0 source code first, then proceed to Android 4.0.

According Queru, Google deliberately did not declare the source code for Android Honeycomb because its development is not yet finished. "We want all developers ignore it (Honeycomb) and more support Ice Cream Sandwich," he said. *** [PC WORLD | RINI KUSTIANI | KORAN TEMPO 3708]
