Next Dodge electric-powered Banshee concept

Next EV There is much good to be gained by transitioning from conventional gasoline-powered cars to electric vehicles. For many brands, by switching to electric power allows them to offer better efficiency, improved performance, more practicality, reduced emissions for better environmental impact, and even better handling due to powered by a more pleasant drivetrain with lower center of gravity.

However, that's not to say without any flaws. There're things are still very difficult for automotive manufacturers to be ruled out, such as when they have to put aside something that has long been a hallmark, as well as an its brand identity, then suddenly had to replace those by embracing something new. So, these are the things that have made several well-known old American brands have seem slow in responding to the trend of electric vehicles.

For majority muscle car enthutiasts, the sound of a conventional petrol engine is one of the most enjoyable aspects of driving an American muscle car. So the roar of the engine is something they want to hear while driving, with the change of the drivetrain to an electric motor, such engine's roar sound suddenly changes drastically or even completely disappeared. In addition, the lack of a transmission makes many drivers feel as if they have no control and even not feel the real driving performance.

As we all know that Dodge has a great history as one of the iconic muscle car makers in the world, and if the brand is now looking to embrace electric motors as a driving force for its cars in the future, it is certain the brand has succeeded in making some kind of compromise with those such thing mentioned above.

Some time ago the American automotive brand launched a new electric-powered muscle car concept called Dodge Charger Daytona SRT that is said to combine the glory of the past with the innovation of today. The Dodge electric car's exterior features a typical American muscle car shape that reportedly takes design cues from the original Charger Daytona model by adding technology that revives an enjoyment factor of old muscle cars with newly cutting-edge technology.

For this reason, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT electric car is equipped with three main features, namely an aerodynamic front wing called the 'R-Wing,' which at first glance looks like a conventional front grille, a new exhaust system to provide a distinctive sound called the Fratzonic Cambered Exhaust which its roar reaches 126 dB so it's said to be a rival of its sibling Hellcat.

On top of that, the car has a special transmission system called eRupt that uses a retro-inspired gun grip gear shifter to provide a truly enjoyable gear shifting experience which provides the sensation of the driver's shoulder pounding against the backrest of a true Dodge's signature seat. Besides that, there is also PowerShot-Push feature which when activated by pressing a button on the steering wheel provides an adrenaline boost with increased power for fast acceleration like turbo-charged devices in conventional fast cars.

However, performance is not the only advantage of this car. On the interior side, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept is wrapped in genuine black leather with tinge of red on the door trim and there is also a red LED light stripe on the dashboard. Besides that, there are also many technologically advanced features in the interior coupled with the presence of a panoramic glass roof and hatchback design that makes it usable, practical, and fun for almost everyone inside the car's cabin. The Dodge's concept car showcases what the future of Dodge's electrified performance will look like, and what's not surprising is that it can also be applied to very fast cars.
As quoted of CarExpert, Dodge promises performance that exceeds that of Dodge’s SRT Hellcat supercharged V8 engine. Parent Stellantis has previously confirmed vehicles on the STLA Large architecture will offer electric motors that each produce between 150kW and 330kW of power. Those concept car built as an anticipation of the company's plan to stop production of petrol-powered muscle cars and start developing large-powered cars with electric motors in 2024. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | DODGEGARAGE | TOPGEAR | CAREXPERT ]
