X-Games are the prestigious world championships for extreme sport category which was first held in 1995. In practice, the X-Games are divided into two championships summer and winter. And motocross included summer category, with some criteria namely speed and style competition, freestyle, and endurocross.
Motocross is a motorcycle that was made to go through rocks steep and muddy streets. So, how to shape and specification of the motorcycles which was ridden by the champion at the X-Games competition? Here we summarize for you:
1. Suzuki RM 250
RM is a trail motorcycle series that produced by the Japanese motor company, Suzuki for the first time in 2002. RM stands for Racing Model, a series that was deliberately made for motocross racing.
Travis Pastrana won the gold medal in freestyle motocross category in 2005. Changes from previous series that feels sturdy body frame, the new machine would make this series of Suzuki motorcycle a serious challenger from Yamaha at the time.
2. Honda CRF 450
The series was launched in 2002 as the successor of the Honda XR series. With a full specification of motocross with 4 stroke technology.
To launch the the first series named CRF 450R, followed by the 2004 called CRF 250.
In 2004, its racer Ricky Carmichael injured while serving supercross game, made him failed become champion on that year. However, in 2009, he managed to win the X-Games for the freestyle motocross category.
3. KTM 450
The Austrian motor company Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkepolz Mattighofen or KTM began producing motocross in 1954. Originally this was a company engaged in the metal processing.
The first time, motocross KTM products introduced globally in 2009. Ronnie Renner, a veteran in the world of motocross racers who is successfully won X Games gold medal at that time. The first series KTM 450 EXC actually released in 2007, but changed so XC4 when launched in 2008 for using new specifications of the suspension and engine.
4. Yamaha YZ450F
Yamaha YZ450F is a motorcycle series 4 steps which are made available to replace the YZ250 series which is slowly reduced production.
This motorcycle is the first motor cross that use Titanium suspension.
Yamaha remodel the first YZF series on a large scale, starting from changes in the volume of engine becoming 426 cc with a 5 step of transmission after the previous series using only 400 cc. Tommy Clowers is this series riders, who were unbeaten for three consecutive years X-Games gold medalist.
5. Kawasaki KXF450
The motor cycle is using a 2 stroke engine that was first introduced in 1974. In the U.S. market, the less desirable type of motorcycle and then Kawasaki issued KX450F in 2005 by using a 4 stroke engine.
For its comfort grip at the front section is replaced with a more powerful handgrip and clutch was set lighter at the time of the withdrawal process. Kawasaki
KXF450 motorcycle also won the Pro Circuit and
successfully won the gold medal at the X-Games competition with its riders,
