A Retro Beauty Concept from Romania

In the year of 1969 ago, about four years since the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu took over as leader of the Communist Party of Romania, Dacia began launching the 1300 model, a rebadged Renault 12 four-door sedan which for the masses.

Although production of the French partner has stopped since 1980, Dacia continues to provide the latest model in several body styles and sizes until 2004, which ended after the 1300 platform is used no less than 35 years.

The latter category will most likely enjoy the 2014 Dacia 1300 Concept, a modern interpretation of the classic sedan made by Alexandru Maris, a student in the department of Industrial Design at Transilvania University of Brasov. He worked in 2009 at the Dacia Duster Concept, a small success that spurred him to further expand his knowledge. They shouldn't get their hopes up though, as this concept has nothing to do with the automaker and won’t become more than just a rendering.

According to its creator, 2014 Dacia 1300 Concept comes with aggressive exterior, design is very pronounced body lines but while keeping the look classic. Interior Rear gave up and turned the car into one of 4 places, 4 very spacious. The car has generous dimensions, about 5.1 meters long and 2 wide. For its powertrain, will use a hybrid concept consisting of a powerful V8 engine and an electric motor, with all the power sent to the rear wheels (the original 1300 Dacia has FWD layout).

And the modern concept of the Dacia 1300 has a different purpose than their ancestors. It will no longer be a people's car, but it is a luxury sedan that is ready to compete with the Audi A7, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Porsche Panamera.
"2014 Dacia 1300 Concept is based Dacia 1300 classic produced in Pittsburgh in the ’70s. I kept all the elements of the original car: chrome elements, grilles, headlights and taillights shape, location and even petrol cap wheels, and combined them into a new car, car and would like to place in class luxury," says Alex Maris.. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | AUTOEVOLUTION]
