Toyota FT-4X, a new generation of Land Cruiser whose ready becoming the Jeep rivals

An automotive exhibition event such as the Chicago Auto Show, has always been a place for the world's automotive manufacturers to show their newest production cars and/or concept cars. As in the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, one of the Japanese automotive giants, Toyota presented their newest SUV concept named Toyota FT-4X. This concept car was designed by Toyota’s CALTY Design Research.

It was also stated that this 4-door 4WD crossover concept was prepared to become Jeep competitor. Moreover, Jeep is reportedly preparing a baby SUV with a more efficient engine.

While the Toyota FT-4X is a sport utility vehicle concept that is inspired from something unusual or can be said outside the Toyota's way to describe their future vehicles.

The Toyota FT-4X is an off-road inspired concept vehicle that Toyota likes to describe as "ruggedly charming." The concept SUV prides itself on the fact that it can go anywhere, at any time, and it can do so in a simplistic and relaxed manner. The Toyota FT-4X is designed for outdoor enthusiasts who want to take advantage of the excitement on their weekend holidays and their little adventure activities.

The FT-4X cabin is built to delight the occupants regardless of the environment in which they're in. It is equipped with a removable audio system, fully rotating ventilation to cool or heat items quickly while on an expedition, door handles that turns into a practical water bottles, and a clever storage feature that can double as suitcases while on travels.

Looking at the exterior design, the FT-4X retains some of the core elements found in the iconic Land Cruiser, with its horizontal integrated grille and short overhangs for maximum off-road capability.

At the rear, the tailgate features an urban and outdoor mode, which determines whether the tailgate opens sideways or upwards. Finally, there're the GoPro action camera integrated in the side mirror to record every second of the action while on the trail.
