Iron Wasp in Black

Not many have the courage to do the extreme modification on Vespa scooter. However, a Vespa's appliance store and modification center in Hamburg - German, Scooter & Service has the courage to do so. For example, in a 1960 Vespa was conducted a massive operation that transformed him into an iron wasp in black.

Furthermore, the result was given the name, 138N without explaining the meaning behind that name. All the scooter body was washed down with satin black color to get a fierce impression. The first part which is experienced a total recast is the standard engine that originally produces 10 hp of power, the S&S team have increased power output by more than 300% to 31 hp at the rear wheel.

To achieve this they used the 57 mm bored up cylinder from an Aprilia RS 125, a 54 mm stroke Mazzucchelli crankshaft, 35 mm PWK Keihin carburetor and plus one of their custom made special exhausts was mounted wrapped around at the left side of the engine like a snake spouting smoke.

Because this wasp has more bigger of power now, then S&S put a Malossi/Bitubo shock set up that make it more stable handling, particularly when driving at high speeds. The rear brake are fully hydraulic 4 piston radials and meanwhile for the front use an S&S custom disc set up.

No less interesting, on the Vespa's new engine is fitted with a radiator that is installed on its neck. To smooth air filtering process, then front side should been given holes which is made resembled the honeycomb. All work was completed with a good finish on accessories like digital panel meters, solo racing seats and wider tires. Now the black wasp is ready to fight on the ferocious circuit and evolved into a black wasp warrior. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | SCOOTER & SERVICE | SCOOTERFILE]
