The almost forgotten Ferrari P6 Pininfarina

Almost Forgotten - Among the many sports car models made by Ferrari, it turns out that there is one name of its sportscar model that has a beautiful wedge style typical of the 1970s, but is now almost forgotten.

The mentioned car named the Ferrari P6 Berlinetta Speciale designed by Pininfarina and first unveiled at the 1968 Turin Auto Show. This Pininfarina designed car was inspired by the Berlinetta Boxer and the 308/328 series and was originally made as a model without an engine.

Later the design of the P6 Berlinetta Speciale was used as the basis for the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 which was first launched in 1971. The Stola's Monotipo Concept derived of Fiat Barchetta

Tiny & Unique Indeed, Gruppo Stola as an Italian coachbuilder company does not have a name as famous as its compatriots such as Pininfarina, Zagato and others. However, when viewed from the works, it is not inferior to those famous coachbuilders.

Well, in the 1990s, Stola had launched several interesting concept vehicle designs. One of them have also been discussed before here, such as the Fiat Dedica, a custom-made Fiat Barchetta of 1996 dedicated for a former those Italian giant automaker boss, Giovanni Agnelli.

And two years after those custom made Fiat Barchetta launched, the Turin-based coachbuilder company is launched one-off sportscar concept named the Abarth Monotipo Concept and was intended to showcase Stola's craftsmanship rather than to be a fashion statement.

Like the 1996 Dedica, the Abarth Monotipo was designed by retired Pininfarina designer Aldo Brovarone, a close friend of Stola managing-director Alfredo Stola.

The car has unique upwards swinged doors at the touch of a hidden switch, while the roof comprises of a long, sweeping aerospace-developed Plexiglass roof panel. Fiat's close relationship with Stola allowed them to licence the "Abarth" tag, and also pinned its traditional 'scorpion' badges at the front and rear.

The interestingly retro-styled body is made completely of composite materials, clearly displaying Stola's capability of handling this exotic material. Even more impressive is the perfect finish of the bodypanels. All transparent parts are not made of glass but of Isoclima Polycarbonate, which is also used in the aerospace industry, so no wonder if the Abarth Monotipo weighted just 880 kilos.

While the drivetrain mounted on the slightly stretched Barchetta chassis is a four-cylinder turbo 2,0-liter engine, the same one that used by the Lancia Delta Integrale. Slightly tuned, it is good for a decent 330 hp at 6,500 rpm coupled with 5-speed manual transmission system.
Those engine power then transferred to the front axle. It was able to do acceleration from zero to 100 kph in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 290 kph, and to tame those high speeds, so the Monotipo is fitted with the same vented Brembo discs as found on the Ferrari F50.

The SEVEN Concept is revealed as the future full-electric SUV of Hyundai

Wheeled Lounge The electric vehicles are growing to be much glimmer, it could be seen by many EVs developed by the world's automotive companies today. And recently the South Korean automaker Hyundai has revealed a teaser of the Hyundai SEVEN concept electric car technology that will be introduced in the near future.

As reported by Auto Express, the SEVEN concept car as a full-size electric SUV hinting at future EV offerings is introduced on November 17, 2021 by the South Korean automaker at the Los Angeles Auto Show held on November 17 to 18, 2021 in Los Angeles, United States.

As for the exterior, Hyundai revealed the SEVEN concept car will have pixel-shaped headlights and DRLs. As for the look of the fascia, it appears that this car takes a few elements from the recent launched Hyundai Staria design language. While, The rear features a glass partition with a illuminated Hyundai logo and a full-width LED taillight bar, which matches the similar treatment on the front.

This concept car also has a fairly large wheelbase, which is around 126.0 inches and allows for a completely flat floor inside the cabin. Hyundai even pushed the car's wheels out as far as it could in an attempt to expand the platform.

Furthermore the automaker said that the electric car is unique, where it will be equiped with the pillarless sliding doors, which will show a very spacious cabin like a lounge. Besides, this car's interior will have materials and designs that are identical to home furniture. For example, the captain's seat is similar to a chair from the future, a cloth sofa complete with pillows, and the use of wood material on several sides.

The SEVEN Concept is said to use an 800-volt drivetrain architecture that is supported by 350 kilowatt fast charging capabilities. It's mean that the Hyundai's concept car can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in just 10 minutes, with a targeted electric range of over 300 miles (483 kilometers). Regarding the technical data is still kept secret, but the SEVEN electric car would be certainly use the E-GMP platform owned by the South Korean automaker.

As quoted of the AutoExpress, the SEVEN also features a built-in mini fridge and 'shoe-car compartments' to freshen up passenger’s footwear on the move. The panoramic glass roof is actually an OLED screen that can display content or act as an atmospheric display to maximise relaxation.

The Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the 3rd Maranello's Icona Series model

New Bred Ferrari officially launched their latest limited production model, the Ferrari Daytona SP3, at a special event called the 2021 Ferrari Finali Mondiali held at the Mugello Circuit some time ago. This new car is the third member of the Icona series after the Monza SP1 and SP2 back in the 2018.

The Daytona name of the new Icona directly evokes us to the legendary 1-2-3 brilliant winning finish at the 24 Hours of Daytona 1967 and pays homage to the Ferrari sports prototypes that helped earn the marque its unparalleled motor sport status.

At first glance, the new Daytona SP3 looks similar to the La Ferrari Aperta, with a completely redesigned body by Flavio Manzoni and his team. The new Ferrari Daytona SP3’s interior skews modern, by using the same digital dashboard and UI as the SF90 Stradale. Seats are integrated into the body, and driving position adjustment is by a movable pedal box. The way the fabric for both sides links over the center tunnel is another nod to the way the '60s sports cars were designed.

Although these official images only show it without a roof, the SP3 features a clip-in targa panel and so should be more usable than its predecessors in Ferrari’s Icona series, the roofless and screenless Monza SP1 and SP2. The bold choice of a 'Targa' body with a removable hard top was also inspired by the sports prototype world and consequently, the Daytona SP3 not only delivers exhilarating driving pleasure but also usable performance.

The chassis is built entirely from composite materials using Formula 1 technologies that have not been seen in a road car since the Ferrari LaFerrari, Maranello's last supercar. Did You know if Segway also developed a hydrogen-powered motorcycle?

Next Mean Environmentally friendly vehicle developments are not only dominated to be done by automotive manufacturers. The manufacturer such Segway, which we previously knew as a self-balancing two-wheeled electric vehicles manufacturer is now also starting to venture into the development of low-emission motorcycles.

Now under the new parent company from China Ninebot, Segway is reportedly starting to expand its production range, following the production of electric bicycles and go-karts, now Segway is designing as an electric-hydrogen hybrid motorcycle called the Segway Apex H2 which has a design visualization representing future motorcycles.

The futuristic style two-wheeled vehicle is powered by hydrogen fuel cells, which is said to be debuting in 2023 and is expected to be a unique product in the future. It is also mentioned as a further development of the Segway Apex which had previously introduced in 2019 and appeared at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

To achieve these expectations, it can be seen from a number of features that the company offers for the Segway Apex H2. First, the frame looks redesigned by adding hydrogen power. To be precise, the bike is packed with hydrogen cylinders that are likely to be refillable. The details are not yet available, considering that this motorcycle is still in the early stages of development.

Ninebot revealed that, this first hydrogen-electric motorcycle will have excellent performance, and very low fuel consumption. It is estimated that the maximum power can reach 60 Kw (80 hp) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in just 4 seconds. It is also mentioned that the Apex H2 is still loyal to adopting the superbike style. Overall has an aggressive and assertive design. It looks sporty with a stretched full fairing. It also equipped with horizontal headlights that are integrated with the windshield and front body. The rear is more minimalist to give the impression of a future vehicle. And of course both lighting is already applied an advance LED technology.

The middle body bulges densely encasing a large-dimensional battery as well as a special hydrogen tube. In some parts painted a fluorescent yellow color that reflects as the future vehicles and also found on each side of the fairing, end of the subframe and wheel lip. While the rim is neatly covered by a black cover. It's not clear how the braking system works because the images published are still prototypes.

Its hybrid technology has generated so much interest since it was first released that people are struggling to get their hands on a single unit of this vehicle when the company was officially opened orders for the Segway Apex H2 from April 1, 2021 to April 30, 2021. The company planned for mass production soon which is not only to explore new clean energy applications, but also to help the country achieve its “autonomy from coal” goal.
If the Apex H2 could be realized soon, it will be the world's first hybrid two-wheeled vehicle that uses a hydrogen fuel cell combination with electric battery. The XP-300 being one of the 1950s Buick dream cars

Ur Dream Car Before leaving Buick in 1951 to move up the General Motors ladder, Charles A. Chayne had approved the Buick XP-300 project and made it as the GM LeSabre's companion dream car, while its name reflects the fact that it was an experimental vehicle with its drivetrain can be spewed power over 300 horsepower.

Besides Charles A. Chayne, in the process of creating the Buick XP-300 concept car (previously labeled as XP-9) also involved other famous figure in the automotive world such as Ned F. Nickles and Harley J. Earl. As we all knew, Charles Chayne have worked together with Harley Earl since the creation of the first future concept car called the Buick Y-Job more than a decade earlier.

Off course, if seen from the car appearance, it was really inspired by the heyday of the jet era of the 1950s. In addition, it's known the concept shared many common mechanical components with the LeSabre, including its 335 horsepower V8 engine, which can run on gasoline or methanol.

Despite its somewhat similar appearance to the LeSabre, the XP-300's styling feels cleaner than the more futuristic and rocket-inspired lines of its counterpart. Furthermore, although the LeSabre generally reflects Earl's design philosophy, the XP-300 fits more closely with Chayne's conception of the future of Buick production cars, and its front end design ultimately reflects the 1954 Buick line.

Overall, both of concepts (Y-Job and XP-300) are pretty much the same; and XP-300 was a 1950s dream car that is an interpretation of modern vehicles based on design sketches by Ned F. Nickles, an extraordinary talent self-taught designer.

Meanwhile the XP-300 has aluminum body panels that reduced the overall weight of the car to 3,100 lbs. This was important, because the body and frame structure were welded as a solid unit and the many push-button power accessories (including the rear convertible window) were heavy and added extra pounds.

And according to OldCarsWeekly, its beauty and innovation went beneath its aluminum skin. Four hydraulic jacks were hidden under the body work and elevated either the driver or passenger side of the car. Upon shutting the doors, steel bars hydraulically slid out so that the car was more rigid, as these bars completed the rollcage-like framework within the body.

The XP-300 convertible concept car has the appearance looks like partially of sports car and spaceship sized 16-ft  that glides just 6-1/2 inches above the ground. This car features an "electric shaver" grille, a wraparound windshield, a three-fin tail with an electric radio antenna protruding from the center fin and striking side trim that would look like a home on the fictional Buck Rogers' interplanetary cruiser. It even has push-button seats and windows!
