An old-fashioned style electric motorbike with a Jatoba wooden touches

The motorcycles production is a common thing for companies that in fact focus to produce various models of motorcycles. However, this time there is a different from a Poland company named Avionics which is basically engaged in the aviation. The company is now innovating by launching its newest product, which is an old-fashioned style electric motorcycle named Avionics V1.

Early inspiration in the making of this electric board tracker was obtained when two company founders Jaromir Dziewic and Bartek Bialas met each other several years ago. Then, both agreed and with the spirit for design and made an old-fashioned board tracker style with a wooden touches in several parts.

The Avionics V1 moves by using a brushless electric motor capable of generating 5,000 watts of power that puts out 124.74 Nm (92 lbs.ft) of torque and capable of driving it at a maximum speed of up to 58 km/h (36 mph). With such power as well, this electric board tracker will be able to ride as far as 120 kilometers (75 miles), thanks to 25 Ah lithium-ion battery as its power storage container. It's need 2-3 hours to charge it to full. And for its braking system, the Avionics V1 has a series of disc brakes mounted on the front wheels and on the back.

Indeed the Avionik V1 is not entirely made of wood, the Poland manufacturer deliberately makes some parts of it are made of wood, such as the saddle and headlamp cover, and battery housing cover. In addition, there is a brown handle and wrapped in a flexible genuine-leather so it can keep the rider's comfort in holding the handlebar.

From the looks, it's clearly the Avionik V1 was carried a classic board tracker style. This can be seen from the minimalist design by utilizing Jatoba wooden materials as well. So the creators of these e-motobike really want to imagine what if the motorcycle was launched in a century ago.

According to the news circulating , the Avionik V1 has been exhibited in September 2017 and then introduced to the public up to 40 days in a row. And these e-motorbike will also be sold by giving a 40 percent discount for promotion. Well, are you interested to have it?

Beautiful all wood-bodied Jeep

Jeep usually use body is made of steel. This is consistent with the character of the vehicle is made to be able to devour all terrains, thus requiring strong material. But what if a Jeep apparently made of wood? This wood-bodied Jeep CJ might not be as tough as its steel-bodied counterparts.

As quoted by the Road and Track on Thursday, June 16, 2016, a beautiful wood-bodied Jeep appears and looks all parts of the body is replaced with wood, even the seats also replaced the wood. Inside the car, the steering wheel is still original and likewise with the transmission lever on the car.

But it is unclear where this car came from. There's not much in the way of a description on either the Youtube video, but it appears to be the work of someone who ran the website called Cherrybronco.com. 

Apparently, a man named Jack built beautiful wood bodies for Jeeps and Ford Broncos, though his website has since gone down. The woodworking here appears to be top-notch, so we'd love to see it in person. Mystery aside, you should still just seen this masterpiece works through the video below:

From the video, the plate says 1960 and I guess this Jeep won't rust like the rest of them.

A unique scooter made of wood and bamboo

Incredible and at the same time makes me amazed when saw the artwork of a student of Jakarta Arts Institute (Institut Kesenian Jakarta/IKJ). This unique artwork was made by Anas Rosyid, in order to fulfill the final project to complete his study in the Department of Wood Craft (Kriya Kayu), Faculty of Art and Design in IKJ. 

Keep in mind if he was also a motorcycle enthusiast, especially scooters. The unique scooter is built of the base of the CPI Hussar scooter with 2-stroke engine which has a capacity of 100 cc. According to Anas, because he have hobbies of scooter and wants to create a scooters of wood with a little combination of bamboo, and the look of wooden scooter is a combination of several vintage scooter design. 'I combines the scooter designs from 1901 to 1940," he said.

Then he went on to explain, "Scooter of 1901 has many cute designs. By taking the unique things of scooter designs from 1901 to 1940, starting from the engine, front and rear rim, forks and shock absorbers. And the rest is improvised by my own".

This scooter looks old school with a combination of natural wood and gold color rather dark brown. The seat is made a box-shaped similar to an old crate or classic suitcase. In the front, its headlights used was an old bicycle light. On the wheels, he used five-spokes racing wheel. In addition he is also designing and modifying the helmet as a partner of this unique scooter.

The type of wood which used by Anas is nyatoh and pine wood. Nyatoh wood applied as the frame of scooter. According to Anas, this kind of wood is considered strong while used for the scooter frame. While the pine wood used in some parts that do not carry the load so that the weight of the scooter does not become heavy.

A unique wooden carved car of China

Almost everyone must have a dream car or supercar, but the price of a supercar certainly very expensive. As a result, many people do not have enough money to buy it. Rather than harbored a desire, a lot of ways that people could do in order to have their dream car, one way is to make or create a replica of the car of his dreams.

For example, in China where a man managed to create an outstanding work, namely  a supercar out of wood. He is Yu Jietao who managed to create the car of his dreams thanks to his skills. The twenty seven years old man from Jiangxi province, China is indeed known as a reliable carpenter.

As reported by The News Wheel, as the initial stage of manufacture, Yu Jietao bought an electric car used it as the base of modifications. Then he was disarm the original body of the car and replace it with wooden custom body. The new car body is made of rosewood that famous for its good quality.

When viewed more closely, indeed the car design was not similar to any of supercars in general. According to him, he didn't really copy any car when he made it but he guess he wanted a sort of Lamborghini feel about it. The vehicle, which has beetle-wing doors and roofless, measures just over 13 feet in length and is just under five feet in width and height.  It has a dominant color of red and also has many carvings that decorated in some of its body parts.

For example, just look at the hood of the car, the carving results makes the car bonnet shaped like people's faces. While the carving on the door of the car to make it look like wings. But look at the shape that is unique and special, making his wooden supercar is very attracted many people and the media.

Seeing the high interest, many parties later interested to buy this unique car. In fact, one of the parties offered Jietao with a very high price which if the offer accepted could make he can buy an original supercar. Even so, it did not make Jietao sell the his supercar creations. Jietao more decided not to sell his wooden supercar to anyone and in any price.

It’s by no means a street-legal ride, Chinese police warned Jietao of this fact since the car wasn’t made by a licensed manufacturer. Who would have thought this cool car made of wood?

The appearance of a unique car that is as cool as the classic car from 1900s. However, who would have thought that most of these vehicles were made of wood materials? Wow, an outstanding car!!

The car builder is Peter Szabo, a man from Corunca, Romania. It took time of three years and spent about ‎£13,915 or $20,000 or approximately Rp.260 million to create this unique wooden car and named 'Julia The Woodroaster'.

Julia - named after Szabo's wife - is a concept car that combines the retro lines and old school growl of a classic automobile, with modern innovations. This can be seen from the car designs are similar to the cars made in 1900s. While the impression of a modern era can be seen from the headlights operating system and entertainment devices using the tablet.

Most of the car's exterior and interior are made of wood, such as the body, dashboard, steering wheel, lever, and others. The car seats taken from  Mercedes Benz. This roofless car is able to accommodate four people. While for the engine, uses a 2.3-liter V6 engine which taken from the Ford Taurus. This Romanian wooden car could reach a maximum speed of 88 kilometers per hour.

"After building a wooden carriage I said I wanted a bigger challenge. It's very rare to find a hard wood concept car of very good quality. It's almost impossible to find it anywhere in the world. Biona, a Spanish future motorcycle

Motorcycles are generally made by manufacturers that usually made of metal or alloys with other materials. Here is a another form and unique creations of an automotive designer who imagine the shape of future motorcycle.

In his imagination, the motorcycle is made of metal, combined with wood and rubber. Amazingly, to drive the motorbike used an electric power and targeted to be the vehicles in urban areas. All of that is a picture of a Spaniard designer named Jordi Poblet Pedrol and given named 'Biona.' The motorcycle concept was made by Jordi in 2011.

This e-motorcycle has a unique shape, as well as gave the light impression, also looks compact and high-tech. The motorcycle frame is made of mild steel and mated with a wood for its seat, front scoop, until underneath. And a battery storage space is under the seat and has a futuristic looks through the hubless rims in front and rear.

The main purpose of the motorcycle concept is to provide inspiration, although it is very difficult to realized. The designers kept pushing the boundaries of human imagination and create a unique form and pleasing to the eye. Let's look at the Toyota's unique wooden roadster

Toyota will enliven the Milan Design Week 2016, by bring a unique four-wheeled open vehicle (roadster). This car is utilizing wood rather than traditional automotive materials like steel or even cutting edge parts like carbon fiber on all over its body. The car named 'Toyota Setsuna' appeared with a unique design.

For this product, Toyota collaborate with Sumitomo Forestry, a place where of many qualified wood experts in it. They are involved in the Setsuna development process, and also participated to help choosing the appropriate wood for this car.

The name of 'Setsuna' derived from the Japanese word meaning 'moment'. This car has 2 passengers capacity, with a length of 3.03 m, width 1.48 m, and high 0.97 m, and a wheelbase of 1.7 m.

"By using wood as the main material, this makes us spent a lot of time with qualified colleagues. We made a prototype and evaluate Setsuna, until the car can offer the peak performance, in the form of a sense of comfort in driving," said Kenji Tsuji, the engineer responsible for Setsuna, as reported from Carscoops, on Sunday, April 4, 2016.

Setsuna body is made by hand and consisted of 85 wooden panels, with a display that shows the impression of an old car. Toyota claims, they are using Japanese traditional techniques, such as okunari (wood panel mounting without the use of nails) in the car's manufacturing process.

To avoid monotony and flat, Toyota combines the aluminum components, in some parts, such as wheel caps, steering wheel and seat frames. Toyota also pinned a special watch at Setsuna, which not only shows the hours and minutes, but also the year, as a reminder of the special status of Setsuna.

As quoted from Autoblog on Saturday, April 3, 2016, Setsuna can be run like the car generally though could not be far away. Unique wooden motorcycle made by Urang Bandung

One of the most exciting motorcycle that participated in the Honda Modif Contest (HMC) 2016 for Bandung region, is a motorcycle that is mostly made of wood.

This unique motorcycle competed in the class of choppy-cub production under 2006. From the front, start from mirrors, headlights (which no lights), shock, and additional baskets made of wood. Its design more interesting because there are ornate of the chess pieces on the end of the fender.

As quoted of Liputan6.com, its frame was also made of bamboo. However, it is unknown if it was really only bamboo, or is there metal component in it. Until now, we  do not known who was the modifier.

The seat is also made of wood and bamboo. There is also woven thick with the Sundanese feel. The wooden motorcycle is equipped with three exhausts. Various cable wound using a rattan so in harmony with other parts.

One of the elements that are still made of metal is its engine parts. Of course, in addition to the engine, the motorcycle parts that similar to the other motorcycle in general is the tires, which is still made of rubber.

Although seemingly just a display items, but the motorcycle is actually functioning. The machine can live and drive the wheels as motorcycles in general.
