Only with wood, this man managed to create his dream cars

A 63-year-old man succeeded in creating a car that is made of wood. Cars built since 2002, is named 'Splinter' could operate Like a conventional vehicle. As reported by Barcroft Cars on Thursday, October 1st, 2015, this car was first made by Isaac Cohen in the age of 50. "I spent 13 to 14 hours a day to make Splinter. But everything comes from my heart," he said.
Splinter - Isaac's first all wood car that took him more than 5,000 hours to build. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1Vtr04J)
The car that has been given the green light to be able to roam on the highway (aka road-legal vehicle) was created from the wood cubes glued, and shaped in such a way according to Cohen's imagination. Everything is done in his workshop in Houston, Texas.

Of course, a part of these cars spend different amount of woods. The steering wheel for example, is made of 260 pieces of wood, 90 pieces of gear shift, and even key grip made of 60 pieces of wood. As some parts that are not made of wood such as the dashboard, seats, engine compartment, lights, glass, until the chair. The rest, as seen in the picture above, all made of wood.

After completing work, the car which he regarded as a masterpiece, Cohen re-create similar cars. For example, he is making a small version of the Splinter. "I made a mini Splinter because I do not know anymore what to do after the completion of the first car," added Cohen.
Isaac also has a mini version of his car Splinter, the Lil Splinter, and a fighter jet truck. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1Vtr04J)
What was done Cohen certainly attract many people. Some of them admitted that the work of these men are willing to pay a high price. But, he vowed never to sell his wooden car. "But I was ever give one (Slider), for charity," said Cohen.
Once the wooden car project is finished, he also plans to continue to make another. Cohen claimed interested in making two-wheeled vehicles. "Some engineers say it's impossible, but I will try to do," he concluded. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BARCROFT CARS]

A Fully-Functional Unique Wooden Cruiser

A modification work is always presenting various kinds of results that are sometimes unexpected by automotive enthusiasts. Especially with classic custom that is not only attractive because of its design, but also the materials used.
A fully-functional wooden unique custom bike. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1Y6R5e1)
From a Youtube video, it shown a motor vehicle even made like ancient times with the overall framework of wood. How to turn is very unique like old motor. There is no info attached to this video, so it's impossible to tell you more details as to what engine was used, or any similar aspects.

As far as the eye can see, the bike is pretty rudimentary, at least this is what the huge flywheel tells us. The low speed and the mellow chuffing of the engine also tell the story of a very old power plant.

A wooden frame houses a small-displacement reason, while the leaf-sprung fork also made from wood is the only piece of suspension that can be seen. We took a second to consider a rear suspension, as well, but the idea only seemed funny.
Although very classic and weird, but all functions including the engine can still run normally. Very difficult to describe the components of machines used by this custom, since no detail custom spiked in the video source. (Wanna see Hungarian wooden vehicles).

A beautiful Russian wooden crafted motorcycle

Sometimes people can make really beautiful things, and sometimes they can do that little bit more making an already beautiful object into a form of art.
Dmitri Goubenko and his beautifully crafted wooden motorcycle. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1BOqbut)
Russian Dmitri Goubenko is one of those people. Look at what he made. By using wood in motorcycle building is not a new practice, but Dmitry Gubenko's carved wood custom bike beats everything we have seen so far.
Front view of Dmitri Goubenko's beautifully crafted wooden motorcycle. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1BOqbut)
This is a motorcycle made out of mostly wood. It is a real motorcycle, so it works. The frame and engine are obviously not made out of wood, but the rest is, and it is hand carved.
Right side view of Dmitri Goubenko's beautifully crafted wooden motorcycle. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1BOqbut)
He may have exaggerated a bit, as Dmitry took two years to complete this build, but the result is breath taking. The amount of detail makes us thinks about the almost insane sculptures of old gothic cathedrals.

The bike is dominated by the oak symbol, with leaves and acorns and there's hardly a place left untouched by Dmitry's skill. From spoke covers to the intricate detail of the rear fender and side covers, this bike is a full-on work of art (See Vietnamese unique wood-made motorcycle.) *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTORBIKE | AUTOEVOLUTION]

The First Handmade Wooden Supercar

The Splinter looks a lot like a sports car but it's more than that, as it has been dubbed as the first wooden "super car". The Splinter was built by Joe Harmon, an industrial designer and his team of craftsmen from North Carolina State University.
The Splinter is a two-seater American supercar concept made of wood. (Picture from: http://www.koolwood.com/)
While he has not expressed any plans of mass producing this beauty, it's still an incredible looking car that is said to be capable of running at speeds as fast as 386.24 kph (240 mph).

The Splinter's body is made from a variety of laminated wood veneers including maple and cherry combined with plywood. Since it is made from wood, it only weighs about 1,134 kg (2,500 lbs), significantly lighter than most sports cars.
Working with a sustainable material like wood and making a car out of it is a truly incredible feat. It looks amazing with its full wooden body, it has a twin-supercharged, 32-valve Cadillac-sourced 4.6L V8 engine and six-speed rear-mounted transaxle from a modern Chevrolet Corvette.

The car is capable of shifting from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in just three seconds. Even the car seats are handcrafted from wood and the wheels feature wood details made out of 32 layers of oak veneer. It is also worth noting that 90% of this super car is made from wood. (See another 9 Wooden cars.) *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | JOE HARMON | KOOLWOOD | THE THROTTLE | THE COOLIST]
