Here's a radical roadster concept named the Pininfarina Sergio

Unique ONES As we all know that the Ferrari F150 LaFerrari hypercar is not the only prancing horse logoed car that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. At the time, Carrozzeria Pininfarina also unveiled and brought their own Ferrari concept that called Pininfarina Sergio. The car concept named after the coachbuilder company leader Sergio Pininfarina (1926-2012), as a tribute for his services in building a good partnership between Pininfarina-Ferrari.
This speedster concept named Pininfarina Sergio, that's named after the man who led the coachbuilder company for 40 years and conceived some of the greatest car legends. (Picture from: Pininfarina)
This Pininfarina's concept car presented in the form of an entirely different open-top barchetta, and is intended to be a study design. The unique-shaped concept car built based on the Ferrari 458 Italia, and powered by an 4.5 liter V8 engine combined with a dual-clutch seven-speed manual transmission system which can generate power of 570 hp at 9,000 rpm. So no wonder if it can be accelerated from 0-100 kph (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of up to 321 kph (199 mph).
The Pininfarina Sergio concept car is built based on the Ferrari 458 Spider, shared the wheelbase, and also combines the elements from Pininfarina’s tradition with modern design cues. (Picture from: CarBodyDesign)
After it completed, the Sergio concept car tested at Pininfarina's wind tunnel, at the time it showed aggressive profile which is dominated by the elegant curves and roll bars are angled to the front. The car was deliberately set up not only to generate down-force and cut off the air, but also to direct the airflow to the top of its users head. Due to the Sergio doesn't have windshield or roof, so its driver and passenger need to wear racing helmets when drive the car.

Pininfarina Design Director then, Fabio Filippini said that his team was motivated by the spirit of the best
Pininfarina-Ferrari sports cars of the 60s and 70s who designed under the leadership of Sergio Pininfarina. As you can see, the Sergio concept car is much longer, lower, and wider than the Mazda MX-5.

Having exhibited at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show as a concept car, then the Carrozzeria Pininfarina immediately produced the Sergio in a limited number of only 6 units. As Pininfarina CEO Silvio Angori said at the time, "We are considering a very limited production of five to six units," as quoted by Automotive News Europe, Tuesday, March 13, 2013.
The Pininfarina Sergio's body features some sharp character lines and an interesting graphic contrast provided by the dark surface of the hood flowing into the cockpit area and extending up to the rear wheels. (Picture from: CarBodyDesign)
"The Sergio is meant to celebrate the spirit of my father's involvement and the development of relationships Pininfarina-Ferrari. Though built as one-off concept, Pininfarina also could be built it in very limited quantities," added Paolo Pininfarina furthermore.

The car's extreme design certainly will not change even entered into the production line. "We know how and where to modify the Sergio concept car to make it more to fit as street car," says Fabio Filippini. Perhaps the Sergio production version will use the windshield to meet the European regulations, because in the concept model, it does not have a windshield.
At the time, reportedly the Pininfarina Sergio's price reached 3 millions (Rp.37.7 billion). And for comparison, this price numbers is the same as the latest Lamborghini Veneno supercar, which was also exhibited at the same event. *** [EKA [29072-13] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PININFARINA | CARBODYDESIGN | AUTOMOTIVE NEWS EUROPE | MOTOR TREND | VEHICLEJAR BLOG | WIKIPEDIA ]

An almost forgotten K-1 Attack Roadster of the Slovakian automaker

FORGOTTEN ONES The existence of an automotive brand such as one owned by a Slovakian automaker was initially never known by the world automotive public. Well, this company based in Bratislava, Slovakia was originally an automotive company called K-1 Styling & Tuning, and was engaged in vehicle design that produced kit-cars for racing purposes.
The one-off K-1 Attack Roadster owned by Prince Fuad Abdallah Haboud Camanero Faresi suits in special racing livery, and is powered by a mid-mounted Volkswagen GTI Diesel modified engine be able to run by vegetable fuels. (Picture from: ColinOnCars)
Like many players in the automotive industry in the world, the company led by Richard 'Dick' Kvetňanský also wanted to have a self-made racing-purposed car, and in 1999 the Slovakian company began to make such sports car project named the K-1 Attack Roadster designed by Juraj Mitro, and was finished in 2000.
The K-1 Attack Roadster is launched to public at the 2002 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA - International Automobile Exhibition), and at the time was powered by a mid-mounted V-6 Ford Mondeo ST220, 3 liter (2,967 cc) engine. (Picture from: Letocar)
After seeing the high demand as a road-legal car, then the company made its kit car version built based on the 1990-1993 Honda Accord, and also making minor modifications to accommodate the Honda Prelude' H22 engine.

Furthermore, the Slovakian company shown off the K-1 Attack Roadsdter at the 2002 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA - International Automobile Exhibition). At the time, the spoers car was powered by a mid-mounted V-6 Ford Mondeo ST220, 3 liter (2,967 cc) engine.

The engine is said to be capable of producing around 178 kW of power at 7,000 rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission system to transmit engine power to its rear wheels. The K-1 Attack Roadster can accelerate from rest to 60 mph (95.6 kph) in 5.2 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 155.3 mph (250 kph).

In 2003, this one-off K-1 Attack prototype in full carbon fiber body was donated by Dick Kvetňanský to a high school student development team in west Philadelphia led by engineer-teacher Simon Hauger to be developed further with the ultimate goal was to build "The World's first Hybrid Supercar".

And in 2004, the project of this student team was completed and managed to win the International fuel efficiency competition in 2005 by beating billion dollars concept cars made by several giant manufacturers like Honda, Toyota, and even Tesla.
The K-1 Attack Roadster is a hand built sports car by a Bratislava-based car company called K-1 Styling & Tuning. (Picture from: Letocar)
One year later, in 2006 the car competed again and won, sweeping out all the competition's titles. This rear wheel drives car was powered by a modified Volkswagen GTI Diesel engine be able to run by vegetable (soy bean) fuels. Besides that the car was so fast with an acceleration capability from rest to 60 mph only in 3.5 seconds, and also have a mileage up to 68 miles per gallon (28.9 km/liter).

As the result, the car was not only super-fast and economical, but was also eco-friendly (pollution free), and could be said, that it had managed to achieve its primary goal. There are actually plans to install the AC Propulsion electric motor to be driven the K-1 Attack's front wheels, and then replaced by an Azure made one. Unfortunately then it was never completed and realized until now.

The K-1 Attack's glory in the fuel efficiency competitions as mentioned above received wide coverage from various TV media channels such as Discovery Channel, ABC, NBC, various TV cables, as well as many world-renowned car magazines, thus making its name widely famed in the US. As quoted of Letocar, The car is now located in Beverly Hills and owned by Prince Fuad Abdallah Haboud Camanero Faresi.

It's around 20 to 40 kit-cars manufactured and exported to the United States by K-1 Styling & Tuning, before the production process was ceased due to it is plagued by poor support and lack of assembly instructions, besides an extremely difficult build process due to faulty design aspects.
In 2011, B-Racing was born and gained rights and tools to produce the car again. Since then many improvements, refinements and available upgrades available have been made, including some options for different donor cars. Prices have also been reduced from £16,200 (around Rp. 308 millions) to only £8,100 pounds (Rp. 154 millions), that's a quite cheap for such a kind of sports car. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | K-1 ATTACK | ID.MOTOR1 | LETOCAR | COLINONCARS ]

Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar officially get into production lines

New HYPERCAR As one of the world's leading sports car brands Mercedes-Benz has a wide range of extraordinary production cars. Of course, every time they make a production of four-wheeled vehicles, big manufacturers like the German automaker almost always start with the launch of concept car first.
The Mercedes-AMG ONE is produced only in limited numbers of 275 units and is targeted to start shipping to customers around the end of this year. (Picture from: Carscoops)
And one of the famous concept cars from this German manufacturer is the Mercedes-AMG Project One which was first shown to the public in 2017. Well, after waiting for a long time since its premiere at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Finally, the Mercedes-Benz top brasses approved the proposal for the production of the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar.
The Mercedes-AMG ONE's assembly process was jointly worked on by AMG and Multimatic in Conventry, England. (Picture from: OtoBlitz)
The assembly of its F1 1.6-liter V6 turbo hybrid engine combined with 4 electric motors was worked on by the Mercedes‑AMG High Performance Powertrains division in Brixworth, England. Meanwhile, the whole car assembly was jointly worked on by AMG and Multimatic in Conventry, England. Each car is worked on by 50 specialists ranging of the body to the interior.

It only takes 2.5 seconds to reach 100 kph. This car is able to penetrate the speed of 350 kph. The average combined car's fuel consumption is in the range of 11.5 km/l. Meanwhile, CO2 emission levels are at 198 g/km.
The Mercedes-AMG One will be offered with a price tag of around US$2.7 millions. (Picture from: OtoBlitz)
Meanwhile for its suspension settings, the driver can choose Comfort and Sport options in Race Safe, Race and EV modes. While the Sport and Sport+ set ups can only be used in Race Plus and Strat2 modes which are specifically for use on racing circuits.

Off course, this is a pure racing-oriented car for an adrenaline rush and not for a picnic or shopping at the supermarket, so there is no luggage for carry-on luggage. However, a small bag can still be stowed behind the race seat, and the compartment on the center console allows you to store your phone or wallet.
Unfortunately, prospective buyer in the United States seem to have to be disappointed, because it is possible that this hypercar will be banned for driven on the streets there, because it will not comply with safety regulations in that country. How come?
According to Joe Pompliano, an American entrepreneur, investor and founder of Huddle Up is wrote in his status on Twitter, 'They put an F1 engine in a road car, and no one in the United States will be driving one...because they didn't want to sacrifice performance to meet regulations.'
Furthemore Joe Pompliano wrote, that the hypercar is produced only in limited numbers of 275 units and is targeted to start shipping to customers around the end of this year. How's about its price tags? Reportedly, the new Mercedes-AMG One will be offered with a price tag of around US$2.7 million. Koenigsegg CC850 was a powerfull and very modern vision of what the automaker calls the ultimate hypercar

~New HYPERCAR~ Recently to mark its 20th anniversary, Swedish hypercar specialist Koenigsegg reimagined its first production car, the Koenigsegg CC8S as a powerful and very modern vision of what it calls the ultimate hypercar which was later labeled as the Koenigsegg CC850.
Koenigsegg marked its 20th anniversary by reimagined its first production car CC8S as a powerfull and very modern vision of what it calls the ultimate hypercar under the name of Koenigsegg CC850. (Picture from: Autocar)
This is more of a tribute to the car than a recreation or a 'restomod', as it is more closely related, mechanically to the Jesko, Gemera, and Regera hypercars. Recently the company combining element designs of the Koenigsegg CC8S with cues taken from those newer models mentioned above.

Besides it also mentions tangible features taken from those pioneering 'megacar' launched by the Swedish manufacturer back in the 2002 including Koenigsegg's typical circular brake light cluster, teledial wheels and 'synchrohelix' door opening system.
The Koenigsegg CC850 (on the right) posed along with its ancestor and inspiration sources, the Koenigsegg CC8S (on the left). (Picture from: CubaDetailZero)
The newest Koenigsegg hypercar is built around a carbon monocoque, shrouded in carbon/Kevlar body panels completed with an aluminum honeycomb fuel tank, so it's no surprise that the Koenigsegg CC850 weighs only 1,385 kg (half a ton lighter than the Bugatti Chiron). This should make it one of the fastest combustion cars in production although the brand has not detailed its performance figures.
Koenigsegg claimed that its CC850 hypercar is one of the fastest combustion cars in production although the brand has not detailed its performance figures. (Picture from: CarScoops)
The interior is similarly crafted, adopting a minimalist aesthetic modeled on Koenigsegg's earliest cars, with an open gate gearshift, analog gauge cluster behind a function-free circular steering wheel and plenty of exposed carbon fiber.

Then the drivetrain that it carries namely a variant of the company's latest 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine which is said to be capable of supplying up to 1,385 hp of power and 1,022 lb.ft of torque, so makes the Koenigsegg CC850 completely different.
The Koenigsegg CC850 is built around a carbon monocoque, shrouded in carbon/Kevlar body panels completed with an aluminum honeycomb fuel tank. (Picture from: TopGear)
Then Koenigsegg explained that the engine without a flywheel is drained for optimal oil distribution in extreme driving situations and can run on ethanol E85 synthetic fuel. So it is not surprising then the Christian von Koenigsegg owned company claims that's the most fast responsive and rotation machine ever.

Furthermore while on its redlines of 8,500 rpm, the Swedish brand promises, it would be gave a truly unparalleled otherworldly aural sensation. This is something none other car manufacturer has ever offered, but Christian von Koenigsegg wanted to see how far their company could be broke such a kind of auto industry norms.
The Koenigsegg CC850's interior is similarly crafted, adopting a minimalist aesthetic modeled on Koenigsegg's earliest cars, with an open gate gearshift, analog gauge cluster behind a function-free circular steering wheel and plenty of exposed carbon fiber. (Picture from: idMotor1)
In particular, although it is said that the Koenigsegg CC850 was not created to break Jesko's top speed record, but to improve performance and offer the highest level of driver satisfaction and conviniences. So this latest Koenigsegg hypercar can be used as proof that the Swedish company have high standards in the car development.

As we could be found on the Koenigsegg CC850, where the car gets uncommon features called the Koenigsegg Engage Shift System (KESS) which combines an automatic and manual transmission in one box. Actually it was a multi-clutch 9-speed automatic technology which is quite found and common used in the automotive world.
The Koenigsegg CC850 gets uncommon features called the Koenigsegg Engage Shift System (KESS) which combines an automatic and manual transmission in one box. (Picture from: idMotor1)
Maybe many people imagine it as an automatic-manual transmission system that can be used to work consecutively as needed. But somehow Koenigsegg could be changed the automatic transmission system into a 6-speed manual whose individual gear ratios depend on what drive mode is used. It's just that the Swedish automaker company briefly explains in appearance that this system is a manual pedal shifter with an automatic working mechanism.
The Koenigsegg CC850 powered by a variant of the company's latest 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine which is said to be capable of supplying up to 1,385 hp of power and 1,022 lb.ft of torque. (Picture from: idMotor1)
So far, Koenigsegg did not reveal details of how this transmission works, the Swedish company only said that the shifter and clutch pedals are connected to a special hydraulic system which provides thrust to the automatic mechanism. Well with such an engine power bursting of 1,385 hp, the automaker company claimed that the Koenigsegg CC850 is a production car with the fastest and most powerful manual transmission the world has ever seen.
The Koenigsegg CC850 will only be produced in 50 units (to commemorate the 50th birthday of Christian von Koenigsegg, the company's founder). But there are likely to be only a handful of units available globally, and for the US market reportedly the latest Koenigsegg CC850 hypercar is priced at $3.65 millions (approx Rp. 53.8 billions). Triumph electric-powered motorcycle with all of its test results exceeding expectations

NEW e-Bike It is undeniable that currently electric-powered vehicles are developing very rapidly, this can be seen with many parties including the motorcycle manufacturing industry enlivened this trend, and one of them is Triumph Motorcycles, a British motorcycle manufacturer.
The Triumph TE-1 electric motorcycle looks fierce sport naked style with all of its test results exceeding expectations and achieving some outstanding results. (Picture from: OtoBlitz)
In the implementation of the Triumph TE-1 all-electric motorcycle development project, the British motorcycle manufacturer is collaborating with Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE), Integral Powertrain, Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) Departement at Warwick University, and also Innovate UK, where each party involved in this electrified motorcycle project has their respective roles and duties.
The Triumph TE-1 uses an electric motor capable of producing around 174 hp of power with acceleration performance from still to 100 kph just in 3.6 seconds, and 160 kph can be achieved in just 6.2 seconds. (Picture from: OtoBlitz)
For example, WAE was responsible for developing the batteries used by the TE-1, and yielded satisfactory results. According to the test results, the battery's recharging from an empty condition to 80% only takes about 20 minutes, and with a fully charged battery capacity, so that it is able to bring the Triumph TE-1 to explore up to 161 km.

Furthermore, this TE-1 electric motorcycle uses an electric motor capable of producing around 174 hp of power which is the result of a joint development between Triumph Motorcycles and Integral Powertrain. Then how about the performance? In terms of performance, the Triumph TE-1 can be said to be good, because to accelerate from rest to a speed of 100 kph it only takes 3.6 seconds, and 160 kph can be achieved in just 6.2 seconds. Unfortunately, until now the motorcycle maker has not announced yet what the maximum speed that can be achieved by the Triumph's electric motorbike.
The Triumph TE-1 weighs around 220 kg, which is 25% lighter than comparable electric motorcycles currently on the market. (Picture from: TriumphMotorcycles)
Next to provide electrification expertise, and the critical vision to drive innovation from R&D to commercial impact, through modeling and simulation based on future market needs, that is what should be done by Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) at Warwick University to support this electrified motorcycle project.

Meanwhile, Innovate UK, the government agency that promotes science and technology programmes expected to grow the UK economy, will support the partners and administer funds.
