As it is well known that the organization of the Geneva International Motor Show 2020, one of the world's major automotive exhibitions has been canceled due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 on the European mainland.

But it does not dampen the spirit of the French manufacturer, Renault to innovate by displaying the latest concept car of the future called Renault Morphoz. And through this concept, the French automaker wants to show the direction of their SUV design in the future, especially in the midsize segment.
Renault's Morphoz Concept is a shapeshifting go-anywhere SUV. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/39C2jSm)
This concept car is specially designed in such a way as to be able to function as a convenient city car for urban use and a reliable cruiser when long distances traveling. This is the latest concept car from the development of the CMF-EV platform from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance which fully relies on the electric-powered powertrain.

The Morphoz has the vision to be an urban family car in 2027 to come, while the platform will be the base of the Renault electric crossover that will launch this year. Not only that, but the platform will also be used for use on a series of prospective new models of Renault electric cars.
Renault Morphoz in normal size or while at 'City' driving mode only packs a 40 kWh battery, so that it can only cover a distance of 400 km.  (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2IvZs1A)
At least, there're three unique vehicle design elements translated into the Morphoz, ie taken from a saloon or sedan, SUV, and coupe. Then all those three are combined into one car to optimize the efficiency and ease of a vehicle. So that in further development, the concept car has unique features that accommodate all the design elements above.

Yes, the car concept has unique features that made the chassis can be elongated according to its driving mode. As we all can see, Renault's electric-powered Morphoz car concept said to have two driving modes, ie City-mode and Travel-mode.

The chassis-elongated process followed by the A-pillar section occurs in the Travel-mode, thus providing an extra space of 20 cm to be filled with an additional 50 kWh battery. In this mode, the battery total power of 90 kWh is claimed to make the car able to roam as far as 700 km. Conversely, in the City-mode, the Morphoz concept car only packs a 40 kWh battery, so that it can only cover a distance of 400 km.

In Travel-mode, besides providing extra space for the battery, it also provides extra space in the cabin. Incidentally, the cabin is also designed so that it can adapt to the needs; the front passenger seat can be faced backward if necessary, but not for the driver's seat, considering Morphoz only supports of the Level-3 autonomous driving system (the highest Level-5).
The interior nuances are presented in a very futuristic manner, this is natural considering that the Morphoz which is present this time is a concept car. To Autocar, The Renault representatives said that the safety factor would be the most difficult challenge for producing this car. Renault basically had to do a hit-and-test twice on Morphoz considering that there were two of them. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | MOTOR1 | AUTOBLOG | GIZMODO]

Bugatti revived its classic car toy with electric motor drive

Most people know Bugatti as a manufacturer that produces millions of dollars worth of supercars that use extra-large engines (16 cylinders with a capacity of 8 liters), such as Chiron or Divo. So in the end it's hard to predict when Bugatti will touch the realm of electric cars like many other car manufacturers do.
500 linited-edition of Bugatti Baby II built for celebrate the brand's 110th anniversary. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SPqzKY)
But uniquely at the Geneva Motor Show last year, they actually have officially unveiled its first electric car. Unfortunately it is not as we all imagined, instead of making an electric version of Chiron or Divo, the mentioned electric car is a reincarnation of Bugatti Baby, a toy car which has undergone many renewal.
Bugatti Baby itself is a functional replica of Bugatti Type 35, the most legendary racing car ever created by Ettore and Jean Bugatti in 1926 as a gift for Rolland, his youngest son's 4th birthday. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SPqzKY)
As quoted from the company official website, the Bugatti Baby itself is a functional replica of Bugatti Type 35, the most legendary racing car ever created by Ettore and Jean Bugatti. At that time (1926), Baby was made in the size of half of Type 35 as a gift for Rolland, his youngest son's 4th birthday, before finally being produced in limited numbers (500 units) from 1927 to 1936.
To celebrate its 110th anniversary in 2019, Bugatti was introducing the smallest member of the Bugatti family: the Baby II. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SPqzKY)
Well, for the Bugatti Baby II that has appeared at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show made to commemorate the company's 110th anniversary last year in limited quantities, ie only 500 units. And the Molsheim-based auto manufacturer in collaboration with the Little Car Company intentionally maintains almost all aspects that make the original Baby look so unique, but not to forget giving it modern touches.
The Bugatti Baby II get a touch of French Racing Blue, but its buyers can order in a variety of other color alternatives. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ulvyJT)
The main differentiator is the engine. Yes, Baby II is purely using an electric motor, with two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. The first battery has a capacity of 1.4 kWh for standard use and the second has a capacity of 2.8 kWh for long distances. And the Molsheim-based auto manufacturer claims Baby II's maximum mileage is more than 30 km.
The Bugatti Baby II was equipped with two batteries that can be used as needed. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/39RibjC)
The performance can be adjusted; if the driver was a child, there is a "Child Mode" option, which will produce an output of 1 kW of power with a maximum speed of 20 kph. Furthermore, there is still a choice for "Adult Mode," which will boost its power to 4 kW, with a top speed of 45 kph.
The Bugatti Baby II was sold with prices starting at €30,000 or approx Rp. 450 millions. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/39RibjC)
Interestingly, this is not the ultimate capability of Baby II, because Bugatti also provides an optional upgrade package in the form of a "Speed Key" to unlock its true potential (same as Chiron): 10 kW power output, without speed limiter for you who want more power.
If you ask why there is Child Mode and Adult Mode? Yes, unlike the Baby, the Baby II can also be driven by adults, because its size is slightly larger than its classic predecessor and has been enlarged to three-quarters of Type 35 making it possible to be drove by adults.
And the company has been producing it starting in the spring of last year, and sold with prices starting at €30,000 or approx Rp. 450 millions. Are you interested in having one of the Bugatti's limited edition toys? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BUGATTI BABY | BUGATTI]

One of the most sophisticated performance vehicles of the 21st century

The world's automotive development is increasingly interesting to be noticed. Today which had been entering the 2nd month of 2020 there are a number of major automotive expo events to be held soon in the next view days.

As we all knew, that the automotive expo event is always used by many parties who involve in the world's automotive industries as a place to display everything related to the technologies progress been achieved in the world's automotive, and one of them to be held in this March is the Geneva International Motor Show.
The Czinger 21C is a 3D-printed hybrid hypercar from the US and plans to unveil it at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2tVzG34)
There's good news comes from California, where one of the automotive startup companies in there reportedly will launch its first hypercar figure at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show later.

As quoted from Jalopnik, the figure behind the emergence of the vehicle is Kevin Czinger, who is the same person behind the emergence of the other first 3D-printed high-performance car named the Divergent Blade some times ago.
Kevin Czinger, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Czinger Vehicles in the Divergent Blade. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/1IefWpD)
And now, through the Czinger Vehicles (that's the name of the automotive company of his-owned), which has a production base outside of Los Angeles plans to launch its first hypercar production named Czinger 21C. Although there are still no detailed technical specifications from the Czinger 21C, it is known that the vehicle was also made using the 3D-Print technology.
The Czinger 21C features a mix of 3D-printed components and off-the-shelf parts and has two seats positioned in tandem. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2HXh46p)
According to him, this vehicle will use a self-developed hybrid drive and is claimed with almost unlimited power delivery. And from the hypercar images currently circulating in cyberspace showing that its driver is sitting in the middle of the cockpit and the space behind which is then fitted with the tandem seat for passengers.
By using a hybrid powertrain that makes 1,250 horsepower, the Czinger 21C able to hit 62 mph in 1.9 seconds. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V99MEh)
And hypercar drive is seen mounted behind a large glass dome, which is passed by a carbon buffer. The large wing at the rear provides sufficient contact pressure on the rear axle. The wheel has a quick-release key, which is known from motorsport. Ceramic brake systems can also be seen - and are also expected given the expected high-performance data. The exhaust is positioned centrally in the Koenigsegg style giving the sound of a hybrid car. Between the wings and the exhaust, there are LED rear lights that run across the entire width of the vehicle.
Power is delivered via a seven-speed sequential transaxle gearbox that was custom-built by Czinger. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2tVzG34)
Czinger claims that his first vehicle will be "one of the most sophisticated performance vehicles in the 21st century". What could be the explanation of names: 21 and C for Century. But it can also give an indication of performance if 2,100 horsepower. Given the high proportion of carbon fiber and the cost of developing in-house drives. And the company is reportedly building just 80 units, divided between 25 track and 55 road iterations and will cost from the US $1.7m each.
And for those of you who want to see the appearance of the hypercar intact figure, you might have to be a little patient until the Geneva International Motor Show 2020 is started on March 3, 2020, later. See ya!!. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FREENET | JALOPNIK | MOTORAUTHORITY | HYPERBEAST]

Pagani Imola has sold out before It launching

The automotive world seems to be always excited, this is marked by the number of automotive manufacturers that look like endless to launch new products. And entering 2020 as an example, Pagani, one of the leading Italian automotive manufacturers. Yes, they seem to have not stopped to be creative which then launched a supercar variant called the Pagani Imola.
Pagani Imola plans to debut at the 2020 Geneva International Motor Show in March. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2vHrtjJ)
The supercar variant's name was inspired by the Imola racing circuit located in Italy. This circuit track is a test site for the development of Pagani's latest supercar variant. And even the Italian manufacturer had ever been uploaded a trial display of this car through its social media account in September last year.
Pagani Imola somehow gets its own model name despite clearly taken the inspiration of its predecessor Huayra. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SEL64L)
And this latest variant also reportedly included in one of the units that will be displayed by the Italian manufacturer at the Geneva Motor Show 2020 event later. The Italian manufacturer officially gave a leaked specification of the Pagani Imola hypercar that was ready to be brought to the exhibition.
The steering wheel and dashboard view of Pagani Imola. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V2UIrN)
It is said that the variant model is an upgraded version of the previous model, Pagani Huayra, by resetting the V12 engine from Mercedes Benz with a capacity of 6.0 L with a double turbo device. So this engine is capable of producing bursts of power up to 827 horsepower with 1,100 Nm of torque which is then channeled through a seven-speed semi-automatic transmission system to drive the wheels.
Luxurious genuine leather seats inside the Pagani Imola cabin. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V2UIrN)
Although there are no official performance figures released by the manufacturer in terms of speed, Pagani Imola is said to be one of the fastest cars that can be driven on the streets. In construction, this supercar uses a monocoque chassis with Carbo-Titanium and Carbo-Triax. And it is also said that Pagani Imola comes with a unique suspension geometry because the damper will be connected to each other through the latest central electronics. In addition to the dampers, central electronics can also handle engines, transmissions, and differentials.
Pagani Imola has a new feature called the 'Smart Gas' system that reduces the shift times while improving performance(Picture from: http://bit.ly/2V2UIrN)
And this is the first supercar made by Pagani that uses the Acquarello Light paint to reduce the car’s weight by 5 kilograms without sacrificing the color’s depth, richness, and shine. Not only that, but the car also uses aluminum, titanium, and chrome-molybdenum steel, so the final weight of this car is recorded at just 1,246 kg. In addition to its lighter weight, this car is also built using more than 770 new components that are made by sophisticated CNC machine tools.
Pagani Imola uses a Mercedes-Benz AMG motor, a roaring 60-degree, 6-liter V12 making that aforementioned 827 hp as well as 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2uYrnE3)
Another leak said this car will have increased acceleration, especially in the replacement of the transmission with the addition of a new system called Smart Gas which is claimed to be able to make this supercar more easier to be controlled. But unfortunately, the new detailed information will be delivered by this Italian company when the world's largest automotive exhibition takes place in March.
Then Pagani Imola will only be assembled as many as five units, with the latest news, all of them have been sold to interested ones now. Although, Pagani sold each unit of this supercar in the price range of €5 million or around Rp.74.1 billion. However, it isn't yet known whether the unit displayed in Geneva later is one of the models that has been sold. We thought this supercar launches decent to be waiting. Once forgotten, now the Schuppan price skyrocketed

In the midst of the vibrant world of the automotive world today, certainly can not be separated from the story of the past. As is the case with the success story of the Porsche 962 racing car that managed to make itself as the most successful of the Group C racing prototype ever built.
The Porsche Schuppan 962CR was the brainchild of Vern Schuppan, was one of the drivers behind the 24 Hours of LeMans-winning Rothmans Porsche 956 in 1983. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2tJuNdr)
Departing from the success story on the racing circuit, it is not surprising that some automotive companies have an idea to realize this car as a vehicle that is suitable for use on the highway. As quoted from Yahoo News, shortly afterwards some road-legal supercars were born inspired by this car, including the Switec-Porsche 962C in 1986, and the most famous of all was the Dauer 962 LM.

But it would be rude to forget about the existence of six road-legal 962 supercars built by Vern Schuppan, an Australian racer. Due to the car that's later known as the Porsche Schuppan 962CR was also inspired by the big name of the original legend of Group C.
Dashboard, instrument panel and steering wheel view of the Porsche Schuppan 962CR(Picture from: http://bit.ly/2SaGNhk)
Vern Schuppan created this car to celebrate his victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1983 by driving a Porsche 956. While still enjoying Porsche's support a few years later, he started a business converting 962Rs for road use.

With the backing of some Japanese investors, the project soon entered its next phase, with Schuppan developing a road-going 962 from the ground up.  This car was designed by fellow Australian named Michael Simcoe, with initial plans to make the car in limited number, ie only 50 units.
Rearview of the Porsche Schuppan 962CR(Picture from: http://bit.ly/2tJuNdr)
But unfortunately in 1992 the Japanese economy collapsed, making Schuppan have no money to maintain its production further, and forcing the company into bankruptcy after just 6 units of cars had been built.

Initially this car was less in demand in the market, but now it has even become the attention of the world's classic racing car enthusiasts. Yes, now the Schuppan 962CR is a rare item that is highly sought after by many world's supercar collectors.
And reportedly in 2018, the yellow-colored Schuppan 962CR supercar known as one of the three models at the time in Japan was offered at an auction at the Bingo Sport site with the prices starting at US $ 1.9 million or around Rp.26 billion. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | YAHOO NEWS | THE DRIVE]

Now, Santa needs to ride on a Dodge-engined snow sleigh

Even though it has been passed, but seems that the excitement can still be witnessed in a unique automotive work that has been exhibited at the LA Auto Show that was held last year. Yes, it might be at that time Dodge did not have a new product to display at one of the largest automotive shows in the United States. But that does not mean there are no interesting works from those well-known American car manufacturers.
This unique snow sleigh's power certainly does not come from the herd of deers but rather from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye's engine. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2OnG61R)
Whatever it means, at this exhibition the American car manufacturer brought a unique red-colored Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye that doesn't have car-shaped at all, but it was displayed as a snow sleigh usually used by Santa Claus when Christmas comes (uniquely, this one isn't pulled by a herd of deers as usually).

This unique vehicle concept is made by cutting off the Challenger front roof and leaving a little roof and C pillars, as well as the height of the windshield cut off and leave it half. Then, at the back, it looks like it was given an empty space that was used as a place to store your Christmas presents.
The wheels were replaced with slide pads like the Santa's snow sled. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2GOlj3t)
Not to forget also the American automotive manufacturers have also pinned also special emblems made for this car that was given a black color. But, the Hellcat's logo of the Challenger looks different by added the deer antler on its head.
As you can see, the roof and door of the car are removed and the windshield is cut in half. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/37Tb3CP)
Then for the legs that previously should be installed are 20-inch rims wrapped in Pirelli P Zero 275/40ZR20 tires but then replaced by pair of slide pads as that installed on a snow sleigh in general. Furthermore, this Santa Claus vehicle looks increasingly fierce, with chrome exhaust pipes coming out directly from its left-right fenders.

Normally, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye is able to bear a fierce power of up to 797 horsepower because it uses a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged Hemi engine.
There's no further information, whether the red-colored Dodge Challenger snow sleigh can run normally, then how the motion mechanism of its pair of slide pads which is the replacement for its four wheels?
But certainly, this Santa's snow sleigh from Dodge became one of the stars while on display at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Even Dodge took its time to make a video where a former professional wrestler, Bill Goldberg acted as Santa Claus. Yes, it might be one of the Dodge's ways to enliven Christmas eve which is celebrated annually in December. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ]

A Gundam-faced Prius PHV concept on display at Tokyo

At the annual grand event titled Tokyo Auto Salon 2020 enlivened by the number of eccentric modified cars, this is very challenging automotive manufacturers to be creative as well. It can be seen when Toyota did not seem to want to be left behind so in this event featuring the Toyota Ambivalent RD Prius PHV (Plug-in Hybrid) Concept at their booth.

The Toyota Ambivalent RD Prius PHV (Plug-in Hybrid) concept is the first collaboration between the Toyota Modellista, a division that focuses on working with aftermarket accessories and Toyota Racing Development (TRD). Yes, the two divisions of the Japanese automotive giant share the task of building this concept car, where TRD focusing on the formation of the aerodynamics sector. The front of the Toyota Ambivalent RD Prius PHV (Plug-in Hybrid) Concept appears aggressive without the grille(Picture from: http://bit.ly/3718JbQ)
By appearing as a concept car, having an extreme appearance seems to be a necessity that must be applied, because this is intended to make it the center of attention. We'll see, it looks very far from the marketed model. This car has a simple and very futuristic appearance. The exterior appearance of the concept car is then refined by giving a white dominant color on the whole body.
There is a dual body-color exposure of the Toyota Ambivalent RD Prius PHV (Plug-in Hybrid) Concept(Picture from: http://bit.ly/31u5xEd)
The front appears aggressive without a grille, making it look similar to a fighter jet. Underneath is a silver line accented body kit. It's creeper from the area that is usually used as a fog light house, to the center to connect the two areas. Its presence confirms a sporty aura. At first glance similar to the usual style applied supercars. The lighting sector is not clearly visible. Not only because it is slanted and sharped, but also the black detail that covers it to the side of the car. With the same black color also applied to the hood, as if he connected with a matching windshield.
On the back of the Toyota Ambivalent RD Prius PHV (Plug-in Hybrid) Concept, there's a vertical line like a backbone in the middle(Picture from: http://bit.ly/2RXnAjg)
While on the side, there is a dual body-color exposure. Where the entire pillar to the roof is black, while the bottom is white with a dark stroke on the back door. In the modern design rim with a five-bar model. There're purple lines on the rims with LEDs with the star patterns. The provision of this LED accent is also found on the front fascia, bumper and fog lamp area that can emit purple light.

On the back it also looks no less unique, Toyota tucked a vertical line like a backbone in the middle. It's extending from the roof to the spoiler, then down to the diffuser. The roof and diffuser are also equipped with red phosphorescent LEDs.
On the rear spoiler also decorated with fins that have LEDs as well. Apparently, this is a combination of a stop lamp with turn signal and reverse lights. So that if observed at a glance it resembles the face of Gundam (a Japanese robot cartoon). Its diffuser looks aggressive, reinforces the impression of being far more sporty than the Prius mass-produced version.
The question now is, will Toyota made the Prius production version of this concept? Because remembering everything that is in this concept car is intended for exhibition, so a little hope it will be realized. Moreover, extreme display is quite difficult to meet the homologation of highway traffic. Nevertheless, Toyota succeeded in presenting the works that changed the view of the Prius figure, where a PHV does not have to always be gentle. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS | MOTOR1]
