The Electron Quasar electric hypercar with savage power soon be revealed

Hope Not Only Concept Recently, the Elektron Innovativ Technologien aka Elektron Motors has released pictures and also details about the hypercar that uses electric power dubbed the Elektron Quasar. The company mentions that the car is a follow-up to the first model concept, the Electron One, which was launched last year and also mentions that this car has better performance than its predecessor.

The German startup company also says that the hypercar will have four electric motors combined to produce an incredible 2,300 hp of power. The power generated is said would be able to compete with the world's major brands that previously had produced similar electric hypercar products, such as Rimac C Two, Pininfarina Battista, and Lotus Evija

Thus, this method will enable the emergence of a new technology, which the company calls the Electron Smart Torque Vectoring System (ESTV). This feature will be useful when the car is driving on a race track considering the power it produces is extraordinary, if you don't want to say it doesn't make sense.

Not only having the ferocity of the racing tracks, the Quasar car is also claimed to have a weight of 3,307 lbs (1,500 kg) only. The German startup also said that its hypercar is capable of reaching 62 mph (100 kph) from still in just 1.65 seconds, before touching a limited top speed at 280 mph (450 kph).

As You can be seen on the Quasar's released images shown that the car's overall design is heavily influenced by the Swedish hypercar Koenigsegg Jesko, and that's a good thing that Electron Motors did for a hypercar.

While the front of the Quasar features angular headlamps and includes LED daytime running lights that curve on the outer edge of the hood. The car is also equipped with carbon fiber canards and a clear carbon fiber splitter.

Elsewhere, the car has a curved windshield and a roof design that's nearly identical to everything Koenigseggs has had over the past two decades. Koenigsegg's inspiration continues with the very similar engine cover, shark fin and rear wing.
Elektron Quasar electric-powered hypercar will be launched in 2023 and built in limited numbers of 99 units. (Picture from: Elektron Motors)
What is unique about the Quasar is its interior which is equipped with a digital meter cluster, a large infotainment screen that is neatly integrated into the dashboard, and a display in front of the passengers. At the end, Electron Motors says the Quasar will be launched in 2023 and built in limited numbers of 99 units only and delivered to the buyer within three years.
As for another previously designed EV hypercar, the Elektron One, Armagan Arabul as CEO of Elektron Motors said the launch was not cancelled. But postponed. We'll hope these all electric hypercars could be realized and shown off as the plan. Now on, nothing could be done except we'll wait and see.😉 *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ELEKTRON MOTORS | CARSCOOPS || NEWSASIATODAY  ID.MOTOR1 ]

Let's get to know one of the most hardest to tame wheely monsters

Rest in Peace Might be those of You still remembered a tragic accident that claimed the lives of the famous Hollywood artist Paul Walker and his best friend Roger Rodas in November 2013 while driving with a German sports beast, the Porsche Carrera GT. The tragic accident also reminds us of how wild and ferocious the performance of the sports car made by the German manufacturer, Porsche in between 2004 to 2007.
The Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured with the color of Fayence Yellow) is one of those four-wheeled monsters that is wild and hard to tame. (Picture from: Reddit)
The car's ferocious performance cannot be separated from its early processes which originated of the Porsche 911 GT1 and Porsche LMP1-98 racing cars that's should be ended due to in part of the FIA and ACO rule changes in 1998. Then the Stuttgart-based manufacturer planned a new Le Mans racing car prototype for the 1999 seasons.
The Interior of the Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured under Custom White) is trimmed in a soft leather plus with the Bose audio system and a navigation system as the standard features. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
Initially, the car was intended to use a flat-6 engine equipped with a turbocharger, but it turned out that during its development Porsche changed the mind and redesigned the car so that it could be powered by a new V10 engine, this automatically caused the project completion time to be extended up to the 2000.
The Porsche Carrera GT is powered by a 5.7 liter, V10 engine is capable spewed out the power of 604 hp. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
As qouted of Wikipedia, the V10 engine mentioned above was originally made secretly by Porsche for use on the Footwork's F-1 racing cars in 1992, but was later deferred. This engine was next planned for the Le Mans prototype and was increased in size to 5.7 liters. Once again in mid-1999, the project was canceled after the first car in testing for two days.
The Porsche Carrera GT is built based on carbon fibre monocoque and chassis. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
It could be happened, as some of Porsche's top brass are said to be more interested by doing the new Porsche Cayenne project which also involves the Volkswagen and Audi. Therefore the new SUV project required a lot of engineering experts, so having to take it from the company's racing division, which automatically caused the Le Mans racing car project to have to cease.
The Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured with the color of Guards Red) was shown for the first time to public at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, as an attempt to draw attention to the company's booth. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
However, there is another speculation regarding the discontinuation of the Porsche's new Le Mans racing car project, as the chairman of the Volkswagen Group at the time, Ferdinand Piëch prefers the Audi R8's Le Mans prototype to race in those world's famous endurance racing events, so he doesn't want the R8 to face with the Porsche's new racing cars on the tracks in the 2004 seasons. As we all know that both of the Porsche and Audi are subsidiaries of the Volkswagen Group.
The Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured with the color of Basalt Black) is produced by the Porsche's new plant in Leipzig in between 2004 to 2007. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
Meanwhile in part of Porsche's internal top brass wanted to keep the project still alive and carried on with its prototype version is powered by the 5.5-liter V10 engine. At the end, the Porsche Carrera GT concept car was shown at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, as an attempt to draw attention to the company's booth. It turns out in accordance to the initial plan, the newest Porsche concept car managed to attract many serious interests from the world's automotive enthusiasts who are willing to queue to have it.

The surprising interest on the Carrera GT concept car and the revenue influx generated by the new SUV of the Porsche Cayenne, helped the Stuttgart-based auto company's top brass decide to develop the Carrera GT road version sports beast, which would be produced in small quantities at the Porsche's new manufacturing facility in Leipzig.
The Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured with the color of GT Silver Metallic) is produced as many as 1,270 unit world wide and should be ceased due to changes in air bag regulations in the US. (Picture from: RMSothebys)
The Carrera GT sports car is powered by a 5.7 liter, V10 engine is capable spewed out the power of 604 hp, while its original concept car which had a 5.5 liter V10 engine had 550 hp. Then the engine power is used to drive the rear wheels which are channeled through the 6-speed manual transmission system. The gearbox is attached to a beechwood knob gear inspired by the one used in the Porsche 917 Le Mans racing car. In its second year of production, the carbon fiber ones are also provided.

Furthermore, the German's auto company is claimed the sports car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.9 seconds before reached a top speed of 205 mph (330 kph), in fact in its road tests, that the car can be accelerated from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 3.5 seconds and 0-100 mph (160 kph) in 6.8 seconds. In addition, the Carrera GT has large side inlets and air dams that help to cool its large V10 engine framed under the carbon fibre rear bonnet.
The Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured with the color of Seal Grey) has large side inlets and air dams that help to cool its large V10 engine framed under the carbon fibre rear bonnet. (Picture from: Wikipedia)
As for its brake systems, the sports car fitted with Porsche's latest Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite braking system, the 15-inch (380 mm) SGL Carbon disc brakes are fitted inside the 19 inch front and 20 inch rear 5-spoke alloy wheels. Similar to other Porsche models, such as the 911, the GT includes an electronically operated large-size rear wing which deploys while the car runs at speeds above 113 kph (70 mph).

The Carrera GT sports cars have 5 basic color options for its sporty's exterior appearance, including the Guards Red, Fayence Yellow, Basalt Black, GT Silver Metallic and Seal Grey. Later, the German car manufacturer also provides custom colors to be applied to the sports car.
The Porsche Carrera GT (in pictured with the color of GT Silver Metallic) has an electronically operated large-size rear wing which deploys while the car runs at speeds above 113 kph (70 mph). (Picture from: Wikipedia)
Then its interior is trimmed in a soft leather, then there's the Bose audio system and a navigation system were standard. In typical Porsche fashion, the ignition system is located to the left of the steering wheel. This placement dates back to the early days of Le Mans racing when drivers were required to make a running start, hop into their cars, started the cars and begin the race. The placement of the ignition key allows the driver to start the car in the left hand and put it into gear in the right hand.
The German's auto company began production of the Carrera GT in 2004, and sold it with a price tag of $448,000. The company's initial plans to produce as many as 1,500 units. But then in August 2005, the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer announced that its Carrera GT sporst car production only until 2006.

This is due to changes in air bag regulations in the US and as of May 6, 2006, the German auto manufacturer has produced and sold of 1,270 units world wide. FYI, the first Carrera GT went on sale in the United States automotive market by January 31, 2004 with 604 units had been sold in the country.

What are the factors that making the Carrera GT sports car's performance such the untamed beast?
Many competent parties in the world's automotive said, that the Porsche-made sports car is very agile and difficult to control while speeding on the streets with the characteristics of each unit being different from one another, so it requires special skills to tame it. Then another possibility is the lack of a traction control system that makes the Porsche sports car like the un-tamed monster. Even though this sports car should be equipped with a traction control system that functions to correct the tires so they don't get out of line. This how it should be, if the Corvette C4 converted into a supercar

One, Two & Three We are back again talking about exotic cars that exist today, maybe some of them can be said as as the rare of a kind, and also rarely been seen by the public. In the automotive world there is an assumption that has already become a public opinion because it is supported by facts and conditions that have existed and developed from the past until now.
The Guldstrand Grand Sport 90 is built and upgraded everything it could be into an exotic supercar by Guldstrand Engineering back in 1995. (Picture from: Corvette Forum)
As all we know, most likely some of the world's automotive fans have the notion that beautiful and exotic cars are always attached to the European car brands, while the American ones are always identified with stocky and powerful cars. That's okay, this assumption is not 100 percent wrong or absolutely true. Why is that? Because among the European brands there are always powerful cars and the same is true with the American ones, there are always beautiful, and exotic cars.
The late Dick Guldstrand (right) posed with Charlie Budenz (left), the owner of the Guldstrand GS90 #2. (Picture from: Corvette Forum)
There are many exceptions against the assumption above. One of them is an American muscle car modified in such a way becomes into an exotic supercar by
Dick Guldstrand. Who is he? Aside from being an American entrepreneur or a former racing car driver, Dick Guldstrand is a legendary figure in the world's automotive who is closely associated with the American muscle car, the Chevrolet Corvette and later earned the nickname of 'Mr. Corvette'.
The Guldstrand Grand Sport 90 comes in style out of the box, although retains the general proportions of the C4 while inserting a decent amount of exotic feel into it. (Picture from: Corvette Forum)
Specifically regarding the car we are discussing this time, which is started its life as the Corvette C4 ZR-1, one of the famous American muscle cars of the 1990s (and might be you remembered with another car came from the same era such the Bertone-designed Corvette Nivola). In 1995 through his company called Guldstrand Engineering, the car was modified in such a way that its status is converted to an exotic supercar named Guldstrand Grand Sport 90.
Besides the coupe, turn out the Guldstrand Grand Sport 90 also built in the such spyder style. (Picture from: Coachbuild)
In the project, he designed the car based on his experience and personal relationship with the Corvette brand and the extraordinary Grand Sport C2 Corvette's formula, which continued to take on the foundations laid by the Corvette C4 ZR-1 to seek improvement in every possible aspect. Stylistically, the GS90 comes in style out of the box, although retains the general proportions of the C4 while inserting a decent amount of exotic feel into it.
The Guldstrand Grand Sport 90 is powered by the ZR-1's LT5 V8 engine which has been engineered by Guldstrand to produce more power and efficiency. (Picture from: Corvette Forum)
As for the drivetrain, the GS90 car is powered by the ZR-1's LT5 V8 engine which has been engineered by Guldstrand to produce more power and efficiency. So the GS90's engine is capable of producing power up to 475 horsepower, which is 70 hp more than the original LT5 engine.
The Guldstrand GS90's suspension, brakes and almost every performance component received upgrades as well, thus turning it into a beast on the track. (Picture from: Corvette Forum)
Then the suspension, brakes and almost every performance component received upgrades as well, thus turning the Guldstrand GS90 into a beast on the track, without compromising comfort and ride quality. After finished, the Guldstrand's car debuted on the Chevrolet stand at the 1994 Los Angeles Auto Show
The Corvette C4 ZR-1 was the donor car of the Guldstrand Grand Sport 90, no wonder if both of the cars look almost the same in posture. (Picture from: Barret-Jackson)
The plan, the car will be produced by Gulstrand Engineering around 100 to 150 units only (both in coupe and spyder models) and sold with a price tag of around $135,000 through Chevrolet dealers, but GM cancelled the deal.💢 By considering the price tag is twice as high as the ZR-1's price, and it is known that only 6 units were completed.
As quoted of Corvette Forum, 5 of the 6 GS90 cars became a display in the museum (2 units in Europe, and one unit each was in Japan, Detroit and LA) while the only car on the streets at this time owned by Charlie Budenz (GS90 #2). In deep sorrow while we've heard, Dick Guldstrand passed away at the age of 87 back in 2015.😇 But his great work will always be remembered and appreciated by the Corvette community in all over the world. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CORVETTE FORUM | 2ND WIKI | COACHBUILD ]

The last supercar of Peter Monteverdi

As it turned out, the feud momment of him with the Enzo Ferrari owned company was the beginning of a success story for Peter Monteverdi along with his own brand. In 1963, he was only 29 years old, he decided to leave the the prancing horse's prestige in search of his personal glory. The feud was prompted when the Maranello-based company requested to prepay for the supply of 100 cars he ordered.
Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 is a supercar built based of an updated Monteverdi-ONYX chassis and is powered by an Ford DFR V8 engine. (Picture from: Box26)
As is well known, that the Monteverdi, a Swiss automotive brand that can grow to be big, certainly cannot be separated from the figure of Peter Monteverdi, a Binningen businessman who continued the Ferrari, BMW, Lancia and Roll-Royce dealership business started by his father.

According to some unconfirmed rumors, among the 100 cars ordered by Monteverdi there are several models of the Ferrari 250 GTO, which is included as the most iconic car ever produced by the Maranello-based manufacturer. There is also a mention of 100 cars also including some examples of the 250 GTO models, even someone said that's all orders for that year.

Peter Monteverdi did not pay for his order in advance as Ferrari wanted, so the partnership with the famous Italian brand was broken off. Monteverdi was not discouraged and took advantage of the experience he had accumulated since the late 1950s, when he started selling the kit cars under the brand of MBM (Monteverdi Binningen Motors), it made in small series by buying the components in the UK.
Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 is built as many as 3 unit which is consisted 2 running prototypes and rest non running show car. (Picture from: Box26)
Since then Monteverdi decided to make and produce cars under his own brand. Several sports car models such as the Monteverdi Hai 450SS and others have been produced at his plant in Binningen, Switzerland. As is well known, that Peter Monteverdi really loves the world of racing, because he himself is a former racer who has raced up to the Formula 1. Years after years, in 1992 to be exact, by his Formula 1 racing experiences then inspired him to create the supercar called the Monteverdi Hai 650 F1.

This Monteverdi's Formula 1 racing DNA supercar is built on an updated Monteverdi-ONYX chassis and is powered by a Ford DFR V8 engine which is also mounted on the Formula 1 racing car, and that's supercar whose owes its name to the engine power of 650 ponies with 390 Nm of torque.
Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 used  Ford DFR V8 engine capable burst power of 650 hp and 390 Nm of torque. (Picture from: Box26)
The Binningen-based car manufacturer considered the development of its supercar at the time as the closest to the Formula 1 racing cars, and the Monteverdi plans to build it as the limited edition. But in reality only two prototypes were actually completed between 1992 and 1995, currently both of them is sat on display at the Monteverdi Museum in Lucerne and also seen frequently fill in the great world's expo halls such the Geneva Motor Show, etc.

Then for its performance, the bright red colored supercar is theoretically said to have the ability to run up to a top speed of 335 kph, while its sprint 0-100 kph capability done in 3.0 seconds and 0-200 kph in 8.0 seconds. This Swiss-made supercar has a length of 4.55 meters, 1.96 meters wide, and heigh only 1.05 meters. Then there is one advantage that the Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 has, namely its low weight which is only about 850 kg, which is a very low numbers if compared to rival supercars at that time, which were much heavier, and less powerful.
Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 non-running model, due to it doesn't have an engine. (Picture from: Box26)
When the Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 was finished being developed, it was already milling around on the European major cities streets its glamourious potential rivals such as the Ferrari F40 (478 hp for 1,235 kg) and Lamborghini Diablo (492 hp for 1,500 kg). However, if the Hai 650 F1 were really to enter the production line, certainly it would become a serious market protagonist, given that the F40 pony of the Maranello-based breeder and the Diablo of the Sant'Agata Bolognese based bull's cage are the most iconic supercars of the time.
Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 non-running model, due to it doesn't have an engine. (Picture from: Box26)
In addition to the two red colored bodywork prototypes, actually there is the third one with a gray-purple colored body, known as non-running model, due to it doesn't have an engine. So, it's said that the third one was built by Monteverdi to be the show car for promotional purposed only.
Peter Monteverdi passed away in 1998 as well as closing the entire of his adventure series in the automotive world and left the great legacy through his auto brand to bring the Monteverdi Hai 650 F1 as the last high performance car that he made. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BOX26.CH | WIKIPEDIA ]
