A unique-shaped Ferrari classic car called an 'Egg'

Maybe all this time you know the Ferraris as a sportscar with a sensational and sexy appearance, so that you might not recognize the figure of this classic Ferrari car. Indeed, this Ferrari sports car is one-of-a-kind in the world, and is called Ferrari Uovo, or Ferrari 166MM/212 Export ‘Uovo' for its full name.

Yes, indeed Ferrari Uovo has a unique looks and styling, or can be said to be eccentric. This car is a one-off project from an Italian coachbuilder named Carrozzeria Fontana, and based of a Ferrari 166MM classic car platform, after it crashed in its first attempt its original buyers, the Marzotto brothers, decoded to rebuild it in this form. And the result is a unique car shaped like an egg, or 'Uovo' in Italian.

And sculptor Franco Reggiani who was the mastermind behind its special bodywork, and creating a shape he likened to that of a plane without wings. The good-looker raced for the first time in 1951 and powered by a 1.56-liter gasoline engine that produces up to 186 horsepower (138 kilowatts) of power and had a miliage of more than 341 miles (550 kilometers).

Armed with the bodywork and aerodynamic drivetrain made the Uovo very competitive and took part in the Mille Miglia and Giro di Sicilia in 1951, where the car had the chance to lead the race, before it being damaged and finally unable to continue the race.

If at that time Uovo did not experience severe damage, of course, most likely this car will be the winner in the two prestigious racing events, and maybe the results will be different. So maybe Ferrari will build more of these cars in the future. Even so, this classic Ferrari is still an historic iconic car, and makes it a special model for Ferrari collectors.
And in August 2017, this car has been auctioned by RM. Sotheby's at an auction event at Moterey, California. Initially this car expected to sell at a price of US. $ 7 million, but in fact this car finally sold at a price of US. $4.5 million at the time and recorded as one of the world's most expensive cars. A weird-beautiful retro concept of Ares Maserati

Back to 2018, Ares Design seemed to pop up out of nowhere and suddenly come up with a rather stunning design, that can be said as the most beautiful and also out of the box concept they ever made.
2018 Wami ProgettoDue or Project Wami by Ares Design. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YhY8p7)
They are called it in Italian as 'Wami ProgettoDue,' or 'Project Wami'. This project was inspired by the 1956 Maserati A6CGS Spyder classic figure with the body by Frua, but instead its figure looks like the details of that car were just Photoshopped onto a Miata.
Left side view of 2018 Wami ProgettoDue or Project Wami by Ares Design. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YhY8p7)
“When it comes to fruition Project Wami will be the finest bespoke roadster and a true testament to Ares Design’s painstaking eye for detail,” Ares promises. We loved their last few designs, so hopefully, they take another stab, or three, at this one.
Dashboard view of 2018 Wami ProgettoDue or Project Wami by Ares Design (it look has three pedals, but no shift lever is visible). (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YhY8p7)
Ares says it will be made of lightweight and strong materials such as handcrafted aluminum, carbon fibre, and leather, which means it won’t be cheap either. The details are still very little, because the project seems to be in the early stages of development.

But, the windshield is one part that is difficult to change, even if most of the body panels are changed. In the eyes of some people, Project Wami looks rather similar to Ferrari Portofino, which means might be it carries a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
Right side view of 2018 Wami ProgettoDue or Project Wami by Ares Design. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YhY8p7)
As qouted of driving.ca, at glance the interior looks okay, but there is something very strange here. Because, from the rendering images shows three pedals, it indicating that the car was adopted manual transmission system, but no shift lever is visible and also no detailed description where's those shift lever been hidden if it existed.
Dashboard revision view of 2018 Wami ProgettoDue or Project Wami by Ares Design (it look has shift lever now). (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2NrtV68)
But after we saw those retro concept car's cabin taken from the official site of Ares Design, it was clearly seen where the shift lever was placed (it looks like someone from Ares Design has made corrections to the previous image).

The release date hasn’t been discussed, and neither has the powertrain or the car it’s based on. And also there's no further information whether there're Ares Design customers who willing to order this retro concept and built it into real car. Or might be You are interested to be the first one in having it? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ARES DESIGN | DRIVING.CA]

Here is the ancestral figure of sports car existed today

The world automotive market share is enlivened by various types of cars, one of which is a sports car. Although very familiar with its name, but not many people know the ancestral figure of the sports car. The world's oldest sports car is known as the Vauxhall 'Prince Henry' Sport Torpedo which produced by Vauxhall, a British auto manufacturer in between 1911 to 1914.
Many highly regarded historians claim the Vauxhall 'Prince Henry' Sport Torpedo is the first ever sports car. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WPeOYD)
As quoted from the Mirror.co.uk pages, in its time the Vauxhall Sport Torpedo was able to drive at a speed of 129 kph (80 mph). Those performance numbers are obtained from its 4-cylinder four-litre monoblock engine capable of spraying power up to 25 bhp. At that time the automotive technology was in its infancy and the average road car would be lucky to hit half of the speed produced by this car.
The Vauxhall Prince Henry Sports Torpedo was capable of a top speed of more than 129 kph (80 mph). (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WPeOYD)
Perhaps because of those car's quick performance so that many highly regarded historians claiming the Prince Henry is the first ever sports car. Or in other words, it earned the moniker because it was essentially a re-bodied racing car, capable of being driven at high speeds while carrying four people and a boot-load of luggage.
The vintage car is to be sold for the first time in almost 50 years. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WPeOYD)
However, it is not known for certain availability at the beginning of production, but in the intervals of several years the availability of the ancestors of sports cars in the world has been depleting. Even today there are only seven units left and become one of very rare automotive products.
This was a time that technology in cars was in its infancy. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WPeOYD)
This car was developed by Vauxhall's engineer named Laurence Pomeroy, was given coachwork by Hoskison Ltd from Birmingham and was delivered new to the T.W. Badgery, a keen cyclist and businessman who works in the leather industry in Worcester.
The open-top Vauxhall was given coachwork by Hoskison Ltd of Birmingham and delivered new to T.W. Badgery. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WPeOYD)
Mr. Badgery ran the Vauxhall on castor oil second pressings from his leather factory and kept it until 1931, by which time the car enthusiast and his chauffeur, Witts, had clocked up an impressive 140,000 miles.
Its impressive performance was sourced from a 4-litre engine which developed 25bhp. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2WPeOYD)
Then the ownership of this car turned to Laurence Pomeroy Jr, whose dad was the famous Vauxhall designer and engineer who came up with the Prince Henry and He kept it until his death in 1966.

While the last owner of the car was known as Reg Long, an engineer from Lincolnshire who bought it in 1970 and died early in 2016. During the 46 years Mr Long owned the car, it has been driven around Europe and featured in numerous books and magazine features.
And finally, the 1914 Vauxhall 'Prince Henry' Sport Tornado was auctioned by the Bonhams auction house in London, England in 2016. At that time the car that was considered very rare was offered start at a price of £500,000 or Rp.8.8 billion. And reportedly, the car had sold for £516,700 (Rp.9.4 billion). *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | BONHAMS | MIRROR.CO.UK]

A 1950s style Italian-made GT-car got a positive notice at Geneva

The world's largest automotive exhibition event, such as the Geneva International Motor Show is not only to be a place to showcase the automotive products from well-known brands, but also used by many small automotive manufacturers or maybe even previously unknown.
Fornasari 311 GT has shown off at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2Dfqat7)
Yes, among the automotive products on display at the 2019 GIMS, there are several vehicles that seem quietly to attract the attention of visitors. Let's us take look at one of them, ie a pretty interesting concept car named Fornasari 311 GT made and designed by Fornisari Cars.
Left side view of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2PegfZB)
Have you ever known those automotive company? We are sure that most of you might doesn't know and might newly found out this time. This company is an Italian automotive company which was officially founded in 1999 by Giuseppe Fornasari with a group of friends supporters.

And actually the company was not a new name in the automotive world, after the adventure in the world of motorsport since the early '90s, with the Corvette purchased in America and the desire to prepare for racing.
Interior view of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2ZbbDbb)
The world of racing and Gran Turismo is always the backdrop to the life of the promoter of this initiative, thanks to his father, Gigi, Alpha skilled pilot Maserati and fifties, who sent his son a passion for not only cars but also a wealth of technical knowledge and human resources.

Back to the car. It might looks like a Ferrari, maybe the Jaguar, and has something of Aston Martin, or maybe it is a Mercedes. In any case, comes from fifties of last century. Yes, from its exterior actually looks like the 1950s GT but packed in a tweaked and power avatar.

The company said that the concept of the car was designed since 2013 and newly in 2018 it was made into a real car like its current form. The design is, it can be said genuine, and while under its hood is there's  lay a 6.2 liter (some says it taken of Corvette V8) engine with 500 horse power maximum. It is understood that it had to be modified to accommodate this engine block in the body.
Rear view of Fornasari 311 GT. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2DfXqR3)
These old-school 1950s style GT-car is a 2-seater car which can be customized as coupe or convertible without changing the lightweight frame which speaks when travelling at higher speeds. By the customer demands, the car can be made of aluminum or composite material. The chassis is made of steel alloyed with molybdenum (some believed there is chromium) and consists of 450 pipes or tubes.

The interior is dominated by aluminum, wood and leather, and clearly, everything is hand processed and merged together. There are options to choose the decoration and styling according to one’s taste in a variety of fabrics including rare wooden linings.
As quoted of eXtravaganzi, these old-school style GT-car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (100 kph) in only 3.5 seconds and its gas pedal can be pushed up to reach max speed is 200 mph. And from the same sources, the car's price is estimated around $300,000. In our opinion that is a reasonable price for such a pretty car like this.

As closing and bonus as well, if you wanna see one of cars that have shapes look alike to those GT-car mentioned above named the 'Ferarri F430 Competizione,' which rebuilt based of 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlineta by Gullwing America in 2011. And what do you think? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | FORNISARI CAR | TOP GEAR | ENUZE | EXTRAVAGANZI]

Seeing the RG Nathalie, the new Rolland Gumpert's belle figure

If Apollo Automobili, the company built from the remnants of the Gumpert manufacturer continues to amaze people with the Intense Emozione. But Roland Gumpert himself is busy by working in the newest automotive company, and the following are the results.
A matte orange colored RG Nathalie model shown of at the Geneva International Motor Show 2019. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YZ3XJ7)
Yes, a new sportscar results from a partnership between Gumpert and the Chinese company Aiways named Gumpert Nathalie. This is a very impressive sports car, utilizing an advanced electric powertrain and having a form that might remind us a bit of the figure of the Audi Sport Quattro Concept.

This sports car is armed with 4 electric motors, each of which can produce power of 137 bhp and 170 lb-ft of torque. But they do not receive power from the battery. The Gumpert Nathalie actually uses a stack of hydrogen fuel cells.
Rear three quarter of Gumpert Nathalie is believed to be a near-production-spec model. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YZ3XJ7)
Aware of the lack of hydrogen fueling stations around the world, Gumpert and Aiways have implemented methanol modifiers. Then they collaborated with Serenergy, a Danish company to make a stack of methanol fuel cells, the results of which are claimed to provide more efficient electricity than standard hydrogen cells.
A racing model of Gumpert Nathalie also shown of at GIMS 2019 appeared in matte blue colored and the company's black-white racing livery. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2YZ3XJ7)
This system takes methanol and can divide it into carbon dioxide released into the air, while hydrogen is channeled to fuel cells. By using this setup, the car is reported to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 2.5 seconds and the top speed reaches 300 kph. Amazingly, this sports car is claimed to be able to travel a distance of 595 km when driven fast and more than 1,126 km when running normally.

This sports car was first unveiled at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show held on January last year, where the car appeared in an attractive purple color. And now at the Geneva International Auto Show 2019, Gumpert brought a pair of Nathalie models and giving the European public their first taste of the innovative sports car.
The front fascia combines sharp lines, large air intakes, and DRL lights similar to the Aston Martin Vulcan. On the side there are matte black alloy wheels and body lines that resemble the Nissan GT-R. At the rear, these Nathalie sportscar is equipped with LED rear lights and additional lights underneath.
Aiways intends to start shipping the Gumpert Nathalie in 2019, but has yet to reveal the price (it’s likely to cost from approximately €400,000 or equivalent to $457,170). By considering all the technologies embedded in it, so this sportscar is certainly wouldn't sale on cheap price when it is produced later. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ROLLAND GUMPERT | CARNEWSA | NOTHERCARGUY | CARSCOOPS]
