Most unique classic wooden roadster

It's probably one of the most unique custom cars I've seen in that it isn't based on any particular car, and was actually built by a west-coast boat builder in 1959. Check it out, it looks like a cross between a rat rod, farm tractor, and so on. And according to VisualNews, the roadster was created based on the article in the September 1956 issue of Mechanix Illustrated magazine.

As reported by Hemmings Daily, the Standard Catalog, as faulty and full of holes as it is, actually has an entry on the Speedball Special. They have it listed as a 1956 Buckboard, though they note that "it may have been known as the Bruce or Bruce Buckboard." That would be because they say a Donald S. Bruce designed the car. They list the manufacturer as Automotive Associates Co. in White Plains, New York.

Here's the result: a modified version of the Speedball Special. The car is equipped with an impossibly rare 1952 Ariel Square Four motorcycle motorcycle engine and transmission and that the suspension was taken from a Citroen of the era, except lights, guages, etc., the rest was all hand fabricated.

A smooth-running four-cylinder 1,000 cc engine able to push out about 42 hp. The biggest hopes of Melling Hellcat to catch the Veyron never happened

Although the lack of car production numbers, but the top speed proposed by Hellcat could be a nightmare for the Bugatti Veyron. This extreme-look Espada had hefty exposed to the classic hot-rod virus

Perhaps, the world's automotive enthusiasts are more familiar with the names of the car line-ups of the raging-bull logoed Italian manufacturer like Aventador, Huracan, Miura, Countach, or Murcielago, this is very understandable. Because indeed one of the other line-ups, namely Lamborghini Espada was very little produced by the manufacturer in the 1970s.

Then the process was refined by giving a matte black paint job with an Italian flag accent. Then a racing-style reinforced windshield, the interior is laid out simply with custom-made seats, and fat Michelin racing tires that wrapped its red rims to give the Espada an undeniable impression like a car that came from the Mad-Max' era.
Danton Art Kustoms’ 1968 Espada Rat Rod is expected to sell for between $200,000 to $250,000 when it goes up for auction during Mecum’s Kissimmee next year event. Morgan EvaGT, how are you today?

For automotive enthusiasts when talking about sports cars, or supercars, it seems endless. There are always topics of conversation, ranging from classic models, to futuristic. Well, on this occasion will be discussed again about a beautiful supercar named Morgan EvaGT presented by Morgan Motor Company back in 2010.

Yes, this manufacturer is one of the few sports car manufacturers from the UK that able to survive today. The design of Morgan cars is known to be very classic. As we all knew, Morgan Motor Company was founded by Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan (HFS) in 1913. And today, the company is led by Charles Morgan, one of HFS's grandsons.

To develop its business, Morgan Motor Company is collaborating with BMW, Siemens and Bosch, and also a number of renowned universities in the UK. And starting in 2010 Morgan Motor Company is committed to releasing a new model every two years.

Back to Morgan EvaGT, this is a luxurious 4-seater grand tourer inspired by British sports saloons in the 1950s, such as the Bristol 400 and BMW Frazer Nash BMW 328. This classy car uses an aluminum chassis which is the result of further development of Morgan Aero SuperSports, which is a chassis that successfully competed in the GT3 Sports Car Racing international racing event. And reportedly, the chassis has received the green light from the official safety boards in the US and Europe.

A fierce-looks and futuristic six-wheeled ATV

By applying technology that is not extraordinary, great ideas are developed to drive transportation forward. This can be seen as done by a Perth-based company named Ferox Advanced Vehicles Corporation when it implements some big ideas on the vehicle that is being made by it. This unusual vehicle concept briefly displays the figure of a six-wheeled ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle).

They're high-pressure, they tend to be inefficient, they need big cooling reservoirs for de-foaming, and they're very jerky," Wheeler explained.

Wheeler also said the liquid drive material offers big savings and an electric motor equivalent to a weight of 30 kg. "The whole system is very responsive - and that is a big difference to traditional hydraulics. Usually, they are quite jerked. But our system has a high startup torque, similar to an electric motor," Wheeler said later.

As reported by Newatlas, with the use of wheels mounted directly on its four motors, the company said that Azaris will be able to handle 678 Nm of torque per wheel and there are larger motors capable of providing larger torque of up to 1,152 Nm.

Although the Azaris has not been fully tested in off-road environments, the six-wheeled vehicle prototype has driven smoothly on the rough surface testing. Currently, there are no plans to bring the Azaris to the market, so for those of you who want to bring this unique vehicle, it seems like you have to wait very long, and of course at a very expensive price.

The First street-legal F1 supercar

Driving an F1 car might have been the dream of all automotive enthusiasts in the world. But it is very difficult for us to sit behind the wheel and then drive the land jets. It seems that now the dream will soon come true. An Aussie named Zac Mihajlovic has ambitions to make a Formula 1 replica powered by Ferrari's engine that will be sold in limited quantities. Zac Mihajlovic is the person responsible for turning many people's dreams into reality and building the car with the help of a custom motorcycle builder named Scotty Cox. And he said, "So I thought, what's the next most extreme thing that I can build to drive on the streets? Nobody ever has done it with F1 cars, they have made cool things like BAC Mono or Ariel Atom, but they are 4-cylinder engined and more look like concept cars."

"If you want to drive an original F1 car, and should have a team that is needed to run it so I think about the modern V8 or V12 engine from Ferrari, maybe there is a market for people who want something that nobody else has," he said further.

A steampunk motorcycle inspired by an old Soviet Union' train

An Indonesian-made classic Vespa scooter of wood waste

As understood by all of us, that in the process of automotive modification sometimes not familiar with the 'expensive' word. In addition, the unique shape and eccentric appearance sometimes also become the owner's choices. Especially for motorcycle enthusiasts, typically they use motorcycle design based on their expertise-owned. In a previous article, there was a carpenter from Portugal named Carlos Alberto who made a unique wooden Vespa scooter.

Much like that but now an Indonesian wood craftsman who made a classic-type Vespa into a very unique scooter and looked different than others.

Well, he is Eri Ashari who managed to make a replica of the Vespa MP6 prototype scooter whose entire body is made of wood waste (specifically wood waste from the pencil-making industry).

Through his skilled hands, he managed to arrange more than 65 million pieces of wood waste material into an antique Vespa scooter for more than 2 years.

"This is all from pencil wood waste. There are about 65 million pieces to make this (scooter). Incidentally, indeed in my place, there are so many (wood waste), so I use them. The seats are also made of wood," Eri explained as quoted of the Tribun-Jogja.

Eri also mentioned that before he ever had made several unique wooden scooters and this antique scooter was his fifth works. He further added that this scooter was the first scooter he made from the pencil wood waste material and possibly the first in the world.

"It starts to be produced in 2016, (and) this is actually the fifth Vespa. So from the small pieces of wood waste, it's (then) arranged (in such a way). What makes it difficult because (the material) is stiff, so it's hard to shape. It should be arranged vertically if arrange in horizontal was easy to break. This is the only (scooter) made from pencil wood waste. After this, there will be no more," he explained.

Besides being made of wood waste material, the antique Vespa created by Eri Ashari also has a remotely-controlled digital audio system. Then there is a fairly large white ivory-colored precious stone embedded in the seat that functions as a cooler, so that even though you sit for a long time but the seat does not feel hot. To ease its maintenance, the whole body of this antique scooter is given a nano-coating layer.

Eri also said that this shiny brown lines patterned wooden scooter had succeeded in carrying out a test drive through a long journey over more 1,000 km with the route of Lembang to Pangandaran round trip. He also said that this antique wooden Vespa had got a roadworthy permit from the authorities.

When asked about the price, it is not surprising that the antique Vespa by Eri has a pretty fantastic price. According to him, so far his wooden Vespa has received an offer from a scooter enthusiast with a price of €139,000 or equivalent to Rp. 1.9 billion. Although the scooter has been offered at a fantastic price until now he has not been willing to let it go.
"This year (2018 ago), I want (the scooter) to be auctioned off, but the price is not known yet. There are many offers coming in, from Italy, Indonesia too. But I'm not pursuing the high prices, but I want my wooden Vespa works to fall to someone who can appreciate it as an artwork," he said.

Reportedly now, Eri Ashari is finding out about the possibility to keep his antique Vespa in a museum, possibly in Yogyakarta or Bandung. Besides this Eri' wooden scooter,  do you want to see other unique wooden scooters made by two Jepara craftsmen? Let's take a look them!

Here's The Nashole, the 2019 'Hot Wheels Legends Tour' winner

Recently, a modified 1957 Nash Metropolitan was crowned as the winner of the 'Hot Wheels Legends Tour' at the SEMA Show 2019, which took place on November 5-8, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This unique car has a nicknamed 'The Nashole' is a modified car result of Greg Salzillo and Dave Ford. They built this iconic Nash Metropolitan with the aim to "look different from other custom cars," and they succeeded.

While most of the custom cars that took part in the contest looked neat, and 'The Nashole' had a 'fierce' look, with faded paint, dirty grille, rusty touches visible on several parts of his body and using steel wheels wrapped in the tires with white-colored trim.

The power that drives this car comes from a 5.0-liter V8 engine that has been equipped with a unique dice-shaped filter, an Edelbrock carburetor, and exhaust coming out from the side. The engine is capable of producing power up to 300 hp (224 kW), which is more than seven times the output of the original car which is only 40 hp (30 kW).

And Mattel said that the car won the Hot Wheels contest this year because of its "originality of design and custom spirit". This is not an easy task, because 'The Nashole' must defeat nearly 5,000 competitors from 20 cities across America. Then the car must also be rated by Hot Wheels designers and fans including Adam Carolla, Richard Rawlings, Jay Leno, and MotorTrend editor in chief Ed Loh.

According to Vice President of Design of Hot Wheels, Ted Wu, "We chose 'The Nashole' because it represented the true spirit of custom by uniting and creating impressive cars that were built, not bought." Wu added, "You saw it and immediately knew this car has the destiny to become a 'Hot Wheels' with that unique color, appearance and, of course, those dice."
Like the winners of the 'Hot Wheels Legends Tour' in previous years, 'The Nashole' will later be made a 1:64 scaled die-cast version, which will be available on the market starting in 2020. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS]
