This vintage electric motorbike is capable of driving up to a maximum speed of about 50 mph (80.47 kph), with an acceleration from zero to 30 mph (48.28 kph) in 6 seconds, and (in theory) could be riden about six hours on a single charged of its four deep-cycle lead-acid batteries. For its own weight carrying about 285 kg or more weight about 75 kg compared to today's Harley-Davidson Livewire.
A series of four deep-cycle lead-acid batteries were said to provide this Harley-Davidson Transitron capable ridden up to six hours. (Picture from: CycleWorld)
As quoted of CycleWorld, that the process of developing this vintage electric motorcycle at the time cost around $70,000, (appox Rp. 989 million). Here's a hard rival of the Vespa Elettrica made by the British startup

Urban Mobility When electric vehicles become the latest trend, and invites automotive industry players to immediately innovate by producing various kinds of electric-powered vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles, especially scooters, are no exception.
The Zapp i300 electric-powered scooter is mentioned by the maker as a slick blend of 300cc class scooter-superbike. (Picture from: ie.e-Scooter.co). (Picture from: MoveElectric)
This time we will discuss a little about an electric-powered two-wheeled vehicle which has a unique appearance called the Zapp i300 and is mentioned by the maker as a slick blend of 300cc class scooter-superbike.

As quoted of Hallo!Ternate, this unique looking scooter was produced by a British startup company Zapp, which is said to be a collaboration result between the best motorcycle design and engineering specialists in that country and launched for the first time in the 2018.
The Zapp i300 electric-powered scooter is mentioned by the maker as a slick blend of 300cc class scooter-superbike. (Picture from: ie.e-Scooter.co). (Picture from: ie.e-Scooter.co)
Furthermore, the British e-scooter maker also claims, besides having a unique appearance with a more extreme hanging seat feature than the one on the Vespa 946, another advantage of the Zapp i300 is that the battery as its electric motor power supply has a performance equivalent to a 300 cc engine.
The Zapp i300 electric-powered scooter has an easy-to-use dashboard that provides an overview of important information. (Picture from: ie.e-Scooter.co)
Technically, this British-made e-scooter has a 14,000 Watt battery with 587 Nm of torque, so it can accelerate from 0-50 kph in just 2.38 seconds, then able brought the Zapp i300 to a top speed of 100 kph, which is far above the Vespa Elettrica which only reaches of 75 kph.
The Zapp i300 electric-powered scooter having a unique appearance with a more extreme hanging seat feature than the one on the Vespa 946. (Picture from: ie.e-Scooter.co)
The Zapp i300 features two removable Lithium batteries for a range of 90 km (ECO mode). Each of these batteries weighs about 5 kg, is 5 cm thick and has a shape comparable to a small laptop, and the charging time capability is less than 4 hours. From this it can be seen that the cruising range of the British e-scooter is still inferior to the Vespa Elettrica which has penetrated of the 100 km.

It is also mentioned that this British-made electric scooter is very safe with a safety-focused design, so the designers deliberately did not provide wireless connectivity or an infotainment system to increase rider safety. The Zapp i300 e-scooter has a 7-layers security system that protects the scooter against threats including theft with multiple security features ranging from GPS connectivity as part of an anti-theft solution, RFID lock, secure on-board charging station and GPS based emergency services features.

While the full power option (Zapp mode) can only be unlocked when the rider enters the special safety lock and has passed the required ages and A2 license requirements. Besides that, this electric scooter is also equipped with ABS for optimal braking performance with Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) or regenerative braking where energy from braking is returned to the battery, as the regenerative braking reduces air pollution generated by conventional disc brakes while saving on its power costs.
The Zapp i300 electric-powered scooter is available in 4 models namely i300 Carbon Launch Edition, Bio, Carbon and Ocean. (Picture from: ZappEV)
Furthermore, the British company also mentions that the Zapp i300 has been designed to be maintenance-free which has an easy-to-use dashboard that provides an overview of important information. Zapp provides high-end service and support for international customers. Today this electric scooter is available in various colors as well as a choice of wheels.

As quoted of its official website, the British company is offering a price of €5,900 for the Zapp i300 Ocean, €7900 for the Carbon and Bio, while the highest ones, the Zapp i300 Carbon Launch Edition sold at a price of €8,900. For those of you who are interested in owning this Zapp i300 scooter, you can order it online and Zapp will handle the delivery of the scooter to any country around the world.
In addition, the Zapp i-300 electric-powered scooter is also available in a variety of colors and wheels for each model. (Picture from: ie.e-Scooter.co)

Let's reminisce for a moment to the beginning of its development, Piaggio introduced the first Vespa 98 to the public at a Golf Club event in Rome in 1946. After that Piaggio produced the second generation of its first legendary scooter which was named the Vespa 98 Series II in 1947. The second series of the Vespa 98 at that time produced as many as 16,500 units by offering many significant changes from its predecessor models.

In terms of design this scooter gets a lot of changes from the previous generation both in terms of aesthetics and technicality. Meanwhile, in terms of functionality, the addition of a spare tire on the Vespa 98 II Serie is just in case when the rider got a flat tire, given the bad road conditions after the war. These elements eventually became Vespa's most recognizable design feature and continued to be produced on the next generation of Piaggio's scooters. The Vespa 98 II Serie also comes with new metallic silver headlights which at a glance remind us of the previous Piaggio-made aircraft.
The second series of the Vespa 98 at that time produced as many as 16,500 units by offering many significant changes from its predecessor models. (Picture from: SteemIt)
At that time the Italian scooter manufacturer made a very vigorous publication to market its Vespa 98 II Serie scooters. It was recorded that several magazines participated in advertising those Piaggio's scooter sales, so to have it at that time the enthusiasts had to be patient to wait for its production which had to queue up on a waiting list for 8 months. This finally opened up opportunities for black market players to take part in profit by doubling the price of the Vespa 98 II Serie up to reaching of 125,000 Italian lira at the time.
Regardless of the pros and cons that occurred on the market, the Vespa 98 II Serie became one of Piaggio's breakthrough models which was considered successful in the global market and capable made this scooter model later become one of the most-sought after Vespa models for collectors. And now, who doesn't know the Vespa, a unique Italian scooter that is sought after by world collectors, starting from the classic Vespa 98 to the Vespa 946, its modern automatic scooters.
