The unseen before of Porsche's minivan concept

Porsche is indeed known as a great car manufacturer, some time ago this German manufacturer made an unusual breakthrough through their electric car concept. Instead of making an electric car with a supercar aura, Porsche actually made an electric-powered minivan named the Porsche Vision Renndienst Concept as the company's study design.
Porsche Vision Renndienst concept is featured with the simple bumper without a grille, there is only an air-dam accent below, and a fog lamp overdraft on the left and right. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3kO6gbJ)
Actually, this concept car has been created since 2018, but it has only been introduced recently. It looks like the designers who worked at the Stuttgart-based car factory are getting bored of designing sports cars, and this concept might be one of their weirdest ideas.😅 And it's said that the car is a spacious 6-passenger family car concept inspired by spaceship design.

Through the concept car, Porsche wants to try translating the idea of the legendary Porsche car design into various types of vehicles. And if You are felt curious about where Porsche got the inspiration for this concept, You can be seen in one of the pictures below where the Porsche MPV concept posing next to the Volkswagen T1 which is its ancestor and source of inspiration as well.

Well, the design of the Vision Renndienst concept by Porsche is indeed inspired by the Volkswagen T1 (VW Combi), you know. So, the car's interior offers the occupants a spacious and comfortable modular cabin, while the driver sits in the middle of them like the McLaren F1. Meanwhile, the driving force of the Porsche Vision Renndienst is by using the electric motors.

Judging from the design, it looks like a van in general, it is boxy, tall, and long. Even so, the modern impression still radiates thanks to the slightly sloping fascia. The bumper looks very simple, without a grille, there is only an air-dam accent below, and a fog lamp overdraft on the left and right. The headlights are also very futuristic featured with an elongated lamp shape up and down, with a narrower center.

In addition, the windshield is also made like an airplane, which is wide in front and curves smaller in the side area. Even though it is a van, the sporty aura still radiates thanks to the side airflow design at the bottom that looks like a supercar. Besides that, the rims used are also sporty, typical of Porsche.
And in our opinion, the Porsche MPV concept design actually was not bad. Instead, if it is improved and refined, actually it is worthied and feasible to be marketed. Unfortunately, the production version of Porsche's first MPV never been realized and just left it.😞 However, what do you think about this minivan concept? Is the Porsche Vision Renndienst cool or not? *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | WORDLESS TECH | CARSCOOPS ]

Here's the newest American hydrogen-powered hypercar

Currently, the development of environmentally friendly vehicles, which are projected to replace conventional-engined vehicles, is being intensively carried out by the world's automotive industry players. It is not surprising that various kinds of the latest eco-friendly vehicle models continue to be born from well-known manufacturers to start-up companies by carrying out their latest and best technological features.
In one full refueling, the hydrogen-powered hypercar called Hyperion XP-1 can go more than 1,600 km. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/36faIe1)
Hyperion Motors is one of the American start-up company who done it. Since its establishment in 2011, the company has been employed a brilliant human resources to run the high-tech company focused on revolutionizing the hydrogen fuel system in the automotive industry. The Orange, California based company which is reportedly is being developing its future vision through a hydrogen-powered hypercar called, Hyperion XP-1.

By relying on its hydrogen fuel technology through the XP-1 variant, Hyperion tries to convince itself to try and fill the gap in the new segment by making a technological breakthrough, and not to follow in the steps of other automotive manufacturers who are busy themselves in the development of electric vehicles.
The hydrogen-powered hypercar called Hyperion XP-1 bodywork is constructed by titanium composite and applied the v-wing door types. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/36faIe1)
Unmitigated, this American start-up company claims that the Hyperion XP-1 in one full refueling can go more than 1,600 km. As reported by Autoblog, not only its miliages, the XP-1 hydrogen-powered hypercar is also capable of spewing out over 1,000 hp and can accelerate from 0-100 kph in just two seconds.

Besides being able to produce farther miliage than ordinary electric vehicles, because hydrogen is able to produce more power than batteries. Hydrogen is also much lighter than a battery, which makes the vehicle load much less. Apart from being without a battery, the use of carbon titanium monocoque material was also contributed to the light weight of the hypercar, so that the total weight only 1,032 kg.

Then about design, the Hyperion XP-1 has a very aggressive appearance because it promotes aerodynamic factors combined with high technology that is environmentally friendly. The bodywork is constructed by titanium composite and applied the v-wing door types. In addition, a glass canopy is also used, which is believed to be able darkened electronically in order to maintain driver privacy.

On both sides of the XP-1 hypercar, there are the fin-likened slats that extend from under the door to the rear. This bar has a dual function: it helps the car cornering at high speed and also functioned as the solar powered panel. The advanced high technology is also applied in car interiors. One of them is an LCD display of 98 inc which adopts gesture control technology.
"We are very excited to launch the Hyperion supercar and introduce it to the world, while explaining the advantages and benefits of using hydrogen fuel," said Angelo Kafantaris, as Chief Executive Officer - Hyperion Motors. Kafantaris recognizes that hydrogen is the most abundant natural resource in the universe. In addition, the potential of this energy is still not fully exploited by mankind.

"As the most abundant element in the universe, the true potential of hydrogen is limitless. Our goal is to tell an inspiring hydrogen-fueled vehicle. With the debut of the XP-1, we aim to start towards a cleaner tomorrow for generations to come," he added. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | HYPERION MOTORS | CARANDDRIVER.COMAUTOBLOG]

Harley-Davidson Revival electric-powered motorcycle concept

Currently, electric vehicles are a trend that has been practiced by automotive industry players around the world today. This is also done by motorcycle industry players, and related to electric-powered vehicle products, the legendary American motorcycle brand, Harley-Davidson has also launched its first electric motorcycle called Harley-Davidson LiveWire back in the 2014
The Harley-Davidson Revival concept aims to deliver an electric Harley to appeal to the younger generations and designed by Tanner Van De Veer. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/33O1KEL)
Although it has received a lot of support and positive reviews, so far sales of the Harley-Davidson eco-friendly motorcycle have been less than satisfactory. This is probably because Harley-Davidson is still seen as a premium brand that has a quite expensive price tag for the younger generation.
The visual appearance of the Harley-Davidson Revival concept adds a fresher impression and instantly recognizable though at kilometers away from one whose seen it. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3lEzGto)
This is compounded by the fact that the Harley-Davidson image is still associated with first-class motorcyclists and the perception that all its motorbike models are large and expensive. In short, some millennials would not choose Harley-Davidson even if they could afford it.

Seeing the unpleasant image attached to those American motorcycle brand, a recent graduate of the Industrial Design program at the University of Cincinnati College of DAAP named Tanner Van De Veer carried out a motorcycle concept design called the Harley-Davidson Revival Concept that might become a solution to the problem.
The futuristic Harley-Davidson Revival concept motorcycle is inspired by the Harley's old-board tracker style blends into a modern eye-catchy appearance so fit for Generation Z tastes. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/33O1KEL)
As quoted from Autoevolution, Harley-Davidson Revival is made with a minimalist design but remains muscular and iconic. The motorcycle concept still uses an electric motor as its powertrain, and has a minimalist and futuristic look. The design itself is inspired by the initial design of Harley-Davidson boardtracker style.
The futuristic Harley-Davidson Revival concept has a tank that is formed of transparent panels to carry a muscular profile echoed with the chunky battery slung below. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/30WTZKD)
The motorcycle also completed with features such as adjustable footpegs, handlebars, genuine leather seats and a few other leather accents, a minimalist instrument cluster and sleek LED headlights. However, the size of the motorbike is now made more smaller and compact than what is currently offering by the Harley-Davidson.
The Harley-Davidson Revival concept looks iconic with a premium touch that can be seen clearly from its accents and material selection. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3lEzGto)
Then to save time in the battery recharging process, this motorcycle is also equipped with an exchangeable battery pack. In addition to the frame, the headlights are also designed to resemble the Harley-Davidson logo, which Van De Veer thought would make this motorcycle instantly recognizable though at kilometers away from one whose seen it. "Despite many changes, the Revival will remain an instantly recognizable Harley-Davidson motorcycle," said the designer.
An industrial vibe carries over to the emphatic swingarm and powertrain forms. Vintage influences include exposed dual shocks. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/30WTZKD)
In our opinion, this electric motorcycle figure is worthy to be considered to enter the line of production of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.😎 Because the motorcycle concept is only a design study of the DAAPworks 2020, it is not surprising if so far there is no sign of the famous American motorcycle manufacturer accepting those design ideas to be realized into its production version.😐

The NAWA, a radically newest electric-powered motorcycle

The very rapid development of technology lately has massively touched the automotive world. This can be seen when the application of an electric motor as the prime mover in a vehicle is no longer a new thing today. It is noted that now the technology has moved a step further with supercapacitor technology as applied by the Italian premium car brand Lamborghini in one of its newest supercar models called Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.
The NAWA Racer Concept is the newest electric-powered motorcycle made by NAWA Technologies in collaboration with the Envisage Group. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/34kPMS1)
The question now is whether the potential technology of this supercapacitor can be applied to a motorcycle? Now the answer is predictable. This technology can be applied to two-wheeled vehicles, this has been done by NAWA Technologies, a French technology company. Actually, this company is not an electric motorcycle manufacturer, but a battery manufacturer. But it seems that they are getting interested in the sexiness of the electric two-wheeler market, and decided to design and build an electric motorcycle.

To realize this goal, the company collaborates with the Envisage Group, an industrial design company known to have worked with Jaguar and several other brands in its latest vehicle developments. The collaboration-resulted motorcycle comes with a very futuristic design, and one highlight is a hubless rear wheel, which is then given cool touches including the wrap-around LED taillight and duck-tailed seat.

This motorcycle later is known as the NAWA Racer looks inspired by the cafe-racer design which carries the best technology which significantly boosts performance and can mark a significant step forward for the performance of an electric motorcycle or the performance potential of anything that needs batteries for motive power, including electric cars.

This French company adds a supercapacitor to this motorcycle (which is internally referred to as an ultracapacitor under the brand of NAWACap). In short, this technology is almost the same as a battery, except that it can be charged in seconds, and can then dump that charge at an extremely high rate. And it can be used over and over again without substantial performance loss. The motorbike is designed to have a lightweight thanks to the application of this carbon fiber frame using a 9kWh electric motor.

The power source itself is taken from a lithium battery combined with NAWACap. The presence of this combination makes the NAWA Racer the first electric motorcycle in the world to use hybrid technology in its battery system. The hybrid technology on the NAWA Racer is able to recharge up to 80% more power during braking. The fact, the café racer-styled motorbike which weighs 150 kg is able to accelerate to the top speed of 160 kph.

The top speed is created thanks to the ability of the NAWA battery which has a power of 98 hp. This motorbike can also move as far as 289 km with a full battery condition. From a stop or during hard acceleration. NAWA claims the racer can go 0-60 in about three seconds with a top speed of about 100 miles an hour and also improved power-to-weight ratio also helps in performance metrics and improves handling.
The NAWA Racer has been showcased last January at the CES 2020 event in Las Vegas. Still not known, whether the NAWA Racer will be produced and marketed in the near future?

Previously, in April 2020 the Katalis Company had released a prototype electric-powered motorcycle with a similar design but with less power called the Katalis EV.500. By carrying out the same design inspiration, namely from the design of an old fighter plane P-51 Mustang with a strong and fierce impression.
Katalis EV.1000 TheArsenale Special Edition is built by using aluminum for the body and frame including the swing arm(Picture from: https://bit.ly/2FPqPWx)
However, there are some obvious differences between the two, as seen in the EV.1000 body which is painted in a matte black with orange-colored graphics which is meant to give a fierce aura, then there is installed an upside-down fork to hold tight its front-wheel while the EV.500 still uses a telescopic model. Then the next difference is in the electric motor which is now spew more bigger power.
Katalis EV.1000 TheArsenale Special Edition uses an electric motor capable spew of 1,000 watts of power with a 48V-45Ah lithium battery. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/35SLP9v)
The electric motor installed on the EV.1000 is capable of delivering up to 1,000 watts of power with a 48V-45Ah lithium battery. So that it is able to carry this EV. 1000 motorbike to run up to a top speed of 70-80kph with a maximum distance of 90km.

A retro look German-made electric powered scooter

The German automotive company named 'Kumpan electric' is released the latest model of the electric scooter. Interestingly, this new electric scooter has a similar appearance to Vespa, an Italian scooter. When it first appeared, Kumpan 54 series only the Inspire and Iconic variants were available. The scooter powered by a 3 kW electric motor with a maximum speed of 45 kph, while the maximum coverage is up to 186 km.
The German-made Kumpan 54 Series electric powered scooter has four variants, namely Inspire, Iconic, Ignite, and Impulse. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/33DV4aT)
Due to its speed is not much fast, so You are not required to have a driving license to take it running on the road (of Europe). But the company is well aware, not everyone wants to make their daily transportation at such a slow pace.

As a result, the Ignite and Impulse variants were created to fulfill the demands of a part of the consumer. There is no difference, but of course, its electric motor capacity is experienced a significant increase in specifications.
The Kumpan 54 'Inspire' variant uses powered by a 3 kW electric motor with a maximum speed of 45 kph. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3kttJ1Q)
For example, the Ignite variant electric motor capable of producing 7 kW (9.4 hp) - 8.4 kW (11.3 hp) at its peak power. It is also able to go up to 100 kph, that's pretty good for a compact scooter, the battery still relies on the same type. There're two lithium-ion packages are stored in the back of the trunk, each with a capacity of 1.5 kWh. And if at any time you want to extend the mileage, there is one more battery space available.
The Kumpan 54 'Iconic' variant as one of the early models of the 54 Series powered by a similar 3 kW electric motor of its sibling Inspire variant. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/2EblxEb)
By having three batteries are activated, Kumpan claims its e-scooter can run 80-110 km (combination). Depending on the weather conditions, riding style, to the rider's body size, it's not as impressive as its other variant. But even that distance was enough to get around the city. Meanwhile, the Impulse variant, whose more moderate, this scooter is not too slow and also not as excessive as the Ignite variant.
While the Kumpan 54 'Ignite' variant uses a more powerful of 7 kW - 8.4 kW electric motor with a maximum speed of 100 kph. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/2EblxEb)
The electric motor throws a maximum power of 4 kW (5 hp) and touches a top speed of 70 kph. The batteries are the same, but if all three are installed, the resulting mileage extends from 100-120 km. The Ignite and Impulse batteries can be removed easily and the charging mechanism does need to be removed, the charging time for both are the same, all takes 4 hours. Not only environmentally friendly and fast, but there were also a variety of advanced features that are incorporated into these two scooter variants.
And for the Kumpan 54 'Impulse' variant uses a little bit low of 4 kW electric motor than its sibling Ignite variant with a maximum speed of 75 kph. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3iNoWIs)
Most impressively, they have cruise control features. Well, which scooter has this kind of technology? Even the conventional scooter types are only in the expensive flagship series. It is no exaggeration to call it the most sophisticated for the middle-class scooter. The scooter is featured with four driving modes: Sport, Comfort, Eco, and Rain. Just adjust the path that will be passing through and to activate it can be done from your handgrip.
The German-made Kumpan 54 Series e-scooter has a 7-inch digital screen right on the center of its handlebar that lets you connect to your gadget, automatically all information is copied on the cellphone screen. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3iNoWIs)
On the handlebars, there is a 7-inch digital screen that lets you connect to your gadget, automatically all information is copied on the cellphone screen. Ranging from the speed, the remaining mileage, power consumption, and all things related to the scooter are neatly recorded on the screen and on the device, including the location of the scooter and navigation. If at any time the scooter is lost or is being borrowed, in real-time the owner can monitor the location points, as well as the driving behavior of those who wear them.
Furthermore, the Kumpan 54 Series e-scooter has three 1,5kWh lithium-ion battery slots in its compact compartment under the saddle and claimed if all three batteries activated, the scooter will run as far as 80-110 km. (Picture from: https://bit.ly/3iNoWIs)
Next talking about appearance, the entire line-up of the Kumpan e-scooter is identical, but it's a bit difficult not to say the inspiration came from the Piaggio's Vespa. Because many body panels from the facade to the rear are similar, maybe because the retro theme that is carried is already synonymous with the iconic scooter from Italy.
The whole body is rounded. The façade is decorated with a large shield, along with a unique designed inverted triangle lamp, the headlight does not use mica, the light comes directly from the LED projector with a small, minimalist DRL, but high-tasted accents.

This Kumpan e-scooter is sold from €5,847 or around Rp.102 million. Meanwhile, its Ignite variant is offered in a little bit high priced of €6,822, or around Rp.119 million.
