A steampunk café racer named the Beezerker

It’s retro, it’s steampunk, it’s a café racer with a twist, it’s a one-of-a-kind motorcycle, named the Beezerker. The Beezerker is the culmination of 11 months of design and fabrication by Chris Flechtner, owner of SpeedShop Design in Seattle.
The Beezerker, a steampunk café racer custom base of 1965 BSA A65 built by Chris Flechtner. (Picture from: http://adf.ly/1XMAoC)
According to him, the past two years have been amazing thanks to the impact the bike has had on the motorcycle and design world. Indeed. it’s a large piece of custom motorcycle history, and even more important in the history of British 650 twins.

At the heart of the Beezerker is a rebuilt 1965 BSA A65 motor which Chris admits he didn't make but aside from that motor and the custom tuck and roll seat the entire bike has been designed, modified, or fabricated from scratch by Flechtner.

The tank and tail are hand-formed from aluminum, the forks are made from fabricated sheet metal, the down tube is the oil tank and the twist clutch is his own design. Chris' expert machining skills enabled him to create the bike out of aluminum and stainless steel which also meant a lot of the bike could remain unpainted and raw.

Chris recently entered his bike, the Beezerker into the 2010 AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, and won a very respectable 5th place in the freestyle class and second place in the Metric World Championship class.
And also captured the People’s Choice Award and first place in the Freestyle category at the 2011 Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show Seattle. Wow..!!

Moscow-based garage made a steampunk styled BMW motorcycle concept

As we have seen today that design modifications always succeed in attracting the interest of automotive enthusiasts. Not only because it can bring a design that is more okay and new, even design modifications often provide inspiration for fans. But have you ever imagined if a BMW R NineT was modified in such a way as if it came from the post-apocalyptic era and rode by Mad Max?
This futuristic custom BMW R NineT of Zillers Garage is the ultimate motorcycle for the End of Days and should be ridden by Mad Max. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/38icI63)
The motorbike figure mentioned above can be seen on this unique BMW R NineT figure is built by Mikhail Smolânovym from Zillers Garage who is already known as one of the metal-shaping experts, so that the look of this motorcycle is so fierce.

Indeed, the appearance of the BMW R NineT looks very much different from the original version, which currently has a custom aluminum body with a steampunk, retro-futuristic style, and cafe racer. With almost all parts of the motorcycle covered by a new bodywork, only the wheels and cylinder head of the engine are visible.
This futuristic custom BMW R NineT of Zillers Garage is wrapping a nearly seamless sheet of aluminum over the Beemer’s original form. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/38icI63)
Even the cockpit looks as if it merges with the gas tank, and also only has a tiny speedometer and buttons for the lights. Then for the front, visible on the motorcycle mounted a LED rounded headlight that looks modern in harmony with its new fairing.

While at the rear, the stern of this motorcycle appeared in the café racer style which is made like the wasp's tail and it can be pulled-back as access to the electrical system and USB port.
This futuristic custom BMW R NineT of Zillers Garage is kept the 1,170cc boxer intact but added a custom pie-cut exhaust. (Picture from: https://yhoo.it/38icI63)
Then for the legs, this motorcycle gets a pair of custom rims and air suspension devices. So that when it stopped or being displayed, the bodywork position can be set to be so low that it looks almost touching the ground.

In the engine sector, everything is still in standard condition with a 1,170cc engine which is capable of spitting out 110 horsepower, except for the use of a custom exhaust system with the muffler look sticking-out next to the rear wheels.
As for finishing, the motorcycle is given a silver metal color that gives a solid impression and there is a BMW emblem as its true identity. As a result, the BMW R NineT really changed form as if it were coming from the Mad-Max era. Here's another bike called Krugger BMW K 1600 NURB that (We thought) appeared in the similar style.

Modern Cafe Racer species from Japan

Many people believe that the American and European engines are more muscular. As for the appearance, Japanese design is more flexible. If then everything are combined then the results would be extraordinary.

That's what Hideki Hoshikawa, a crew of Asterisk Custom Cycles (the motorcycle home modification company in Northern Japan) doing until succeeded to create a masterpiece from a Harley-Davidson Sportster.

It stems from the a customer request who wanted a cafe racer style motorcycle. "I'm not interested in the old-style cafe racer. In my opinion, it is a time for modern cafe racer style," he commented. With a Harley-Davidson Sportster Evo engine, Hoshikawa successfully create the Avanzare, that's the name for his modern custom cafe racer bike ('Avanzare' word derived from the Italian language, which means 'development').
Left side view of Avanzare. (Picture from: http://www.fastdates.com/)
Amazingly this motorcycle immediately won the prestigious award, Best of Show at the LA Calendar Bike Show, in July, 2012. At first glance, the Avanzare is very slim despite carrying the typical of Harley-Davidson V-Twin engine. It does not feel stiff such an old-style cafe racer. All the lines are very flexible design and seemed to flow. His appearance was clean and light but still demonstrate the strong and dashing impression.

To that end, the framework overhauled and elevated a few centimeters from the standard. Its swing arm and twin shock absorbers removed, replaced with a swing arm and monoshock, which is inspired by the Honda NSR500 Grand Prix Racer. This motorcycle uses the Öhlins shock absorbers, including upside down front forks. Front fork tilt angle is narrowed, from 29 degrees looks "more lazy" be 24 degrees to make it look a little more sporty.
Rear right side view of Avanzare. (Picture from: http://bikeglam.com/)
The all finished parts are then spliced with an addition of aluminum frame as a connection point for the tail. Including the Pro Circuit's exhaust taken from moto cross bike. The exhaust looks dominant as it is designed like a snake. Two part arises from the combustion chamber, then put together to be forwarded to the exhaust tip. While the oil filter is hidden in a tapered tail section.

Because this bike themed is modern cafe racer, then there's no round design fuel tank. Instead the tank created with the teardrop shaped, tapering down to the seat. While the colors were chosen to support the theme, is a mixture of brown and white, with simple graphics accented. To keep the vintage impression, there's a round light following chrome speedometer. Then, a blue patterned rim bars with a set of gold gear, making the Avanzare more attractive.

Levis reborn after more than eighty years being dead

When you hear the name of Levis, maybe you will immediately point to a famous American clothing brand. But besides being used as a clothing brand, the name of Levis has also long been used and known as a motorcycle brand from England.

After more than eighty years being dead, now Levis Motorcycles reborn by showing off their new motorcycle named Levis Motorcycles V6 Café Racer.
The 2018 V6 Café Racer made debut at the 2018 Goodwood Revival in September 2018. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FIx8KZ)
Now we look back at its history, Levis Motorcycles was founded by William Butterfield at Stechford, Birmingham UK. At the beginning of its establishment, this manufacturer was only devoted to making the 2-stroke type motorcycle engines which in the end those company continued to grow to become one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in the UK.
The 2018 V6 Café Racer is the first Levis motorcycle to be produced in 80 years. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
The British manufacturer began production from 1911 to 1941. And in its heyday, the manufacturer had given birth to the 250cc 2-stroke motorcycle which won the Isle of Man TT in the 1920s. And like most other manufacturers at that time, the 2nd World War gave a severe negative impact on this manufacturer and pushed it have to stop the production in 1946.
Most parts of the 2018 V6 Café Racer have been machined in-house by Levis from billet aluminum blocks. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
The Levis brand remained dormant until 2014, when its rights were acquired by David Redshaw, who dreamt of reviving it. In 2017 he met with Phil Bevan, a businessman who had recently bought Connaught Competition Engines, a UK company that made a compact two-liter V10 motor for GT Racing cars.
The aluminium wheels and brake calipers of the 2018 V6 Café Racer are manufactured by Levis. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
This engine was built on a modular design that allowed for easy production of V8, V6, V4 and even V2 variants, and Bevan had already been looking for a suitable motorcycle to host it. He promptly bought the brand's rights from Redshaw and together they set up the Levis Motorcycle Company in July 2017, with new headquarters in Swaffham and a clear plan in their minds.
The V6 motor of the 2018 Levis Café Racer is based on a Connaughton V10 racing car engine. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
To realize his dream, he hired a designer named Steve Kirk, and began working on a motorcycle inspired by the V10 compact block. And the result is the Levis Motorcycles V6 Café Racer motorcycle figure. This motorcycle component is made of stainless steel and aluminum.
The single-sided swingarm of the 2018 Levis V6 Café Racer. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
In detail, this motorcycle uses a 1,200cc V6 engine with an estimated power output of 120 hp and 120 lb-ft of torque. In addition, this 33-degree V6 engine has an ignition sequence that can be said to be different, with a sequence of 1-2-3-4-5-6. And according to the maker, by the ignition sequence like that to make the engine very smooth, so it doesn't need a balancer.

The frame is built in-house from steel tubes, featuring a Hossack-type front suspension system and a single shock at the rear. Both shock absorbers are bespoke adjustable units, fabricated especially for Levis' motorcycle by an unnamed English specialist.
The 2018 Levis V6 Café Racer can be customized by its owner down to the finish of the frame tubes. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
Levis also fabricates in-house most parts of the Café Racer, including the fork legs, clamps, headlight assembly, steering, hand controls, brake discs, gearbox casings and wheels – all machined from solid blocks of aluminum. This opens a wide window which Levis intends to take full advantage of, offering customizing options down to the bare essentials, such as the finish of the frame and bodywork panels.
The 2018 Levis V6 Café Racer will be a very rare, custom-built and very expensive motorcycle. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2FHK0Rv)
The wheels themselves, presumably tubeless, are based on an uncommon two-piece design, with two halves bound together with hidden bolts and sealed tight with a sealant agent. The semi-solid design was reportedly selected as the best combination of strength and low weight.

The Levis Motorcycles V6 Café Racer was greeted the world automotive enthusiasts for the first time at the 2018 Goodwood Revival in September 2018. While the price offered for this motorcycle has been set at £102,000 (US $133,000) or around Rp.2 billion.
The plan, the British company will also produces the supercharged engines version in a limited number and will be launched in 2020 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its victory at the 1920s Isle of Man TT racing events.
