A partially collection of eight images titled 'Rides of the Wild' by Frédéric Müller. (Compiled into one by EKA of the pictures taken from: http://bit.ly/2SsKL3G)
Yes, he combines his four imaginary classic car figures with 4 forms of wildlife animals. The four classic cars are 1963 Aston Martin DB5, 1967 Ford F-250, 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and 1977 Fiat 600S, which was later designed in such a way as to become a vehicle inspired by those 4 wildlife animals (hippos, lions, alligators and pandas) by using photography, computer-generated imagery (CGI), and 3D-visualisation technique.

Let's take a look at the following models.

1. 1963 Aston Martin DB5 design inspired by Hippopotamus
Yes, the figure of 1963 Aston Martin DB5 which is given purplish gray color where the design is combined with a typical hippo silhouette. Müller carefully considered small details such as a pair of 'ears' that were placed ideally on the roof of the vehicle and gave it a personal number plate, 'H1PP0'.

2. 1967 Ford-250 design inspired by Lion
Next is 1967 Ford-250 this is the perfect partner for lions! This heavy pickup truck figure is ready to go to the wild for adventure. If you build the original car, you need about 20 people, within six months and 1,800 parts, but to build the Lego version you need more.

Then the Lego-made Chiron was taken to the Volkswagen Ehra Lessien test tracks, the same place when Chiron was first tested. Behind the steering wheel, entrusted to Andy Walace, a Le Mans 24 Hours champion and also the Bugatti's brand ambassador.

"Driving this Lego Chiron is an amazing experience and I really enjoyed it. Years ago I couldn't imagine that one time I would drive a car from Lego," Wallace said as quoted of Top Gear.

Lego reveals that the manufacturing time is almost the same as the original car, only for parts of it more than 1 million parts of Lego Technic. It consists of 2,304 parts for the driving motor, 4,032 for the gears to drive the tires, and 2,016 for the axles.

Handcrafted Wooden Ferrari Replica from Boyolali

ART WORK - The Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) never fails to captivate automotive enthusiasts, delivering an experience that seamlessly blends innovation, artistry, and technology. This annual event, celebrated for its impressive line-up of new car releases, custom modifications, and automotive accessories, is also an ideal showcase for unique creations that stand out in the global automotive scene. Among the most talked-about exhibits at IIMS 2018 was an unusual yet stunning replica of the Ferrari 330 P4—a model crafted not from metal but from teak wood, a creation by Indonesian woodcraft company PT Sumber Sejahtera Alamindo (SSA).
A wooden replica of the Ferrari 330 P4, expertly crafted by PT. Sumber Sejahtera Alamindo (SSA). (Picture from: KumparanOTO)
When thinking of Ferrari, most people picture an Italian luxury car with sleek design and cutting-edge performance. This wooden Ferrari replica, however, takes a fascinatingly different approach. Though it lacks the roaring engine and speed capabilities of the original, the craftsmanship involved makes it a breathtaking work of art. SSA’s founder, Santoz Martoz, explained that this masterpiece is currently intended solely as a display piece. "If you push it from behind, it will indeed move, but that's as close to driving as it gets," he remarked humorously, highlighting the whimsical aspect of this non-functioning, hand-crafted showpiece.

Constructing a life-sized replica of the iconic Ferrari 330 P4 was no small feat. The project took four months to complete, involving a dedicated team of six artisans working meticulously on every detail, from the car's body curves to its final polish. Santoz shared that patience and precision were crucial in achieving the car's striking resemblance to its inspiration, maintaining the proportions on a 1:1 scale with the original Ferrari model. Crafted entirely from premium teak wood, the replica’s quality reflects a dedication to authenticity and artistic integrity, appealing to collectors and automotive enthusiasts alike.

The price tag of this handcrafted wooden Ferrari speaks to its exclusivity. Valued at $50,000 (around Rp. 684 million), this piece of automotive art has drawn attention from collectors and art lovers across the globe, particularly from regions like Europe and North America. Santoz noted that, since founding SSA in 2016, he has seen a steady demand for wooden display cars. For many, owning this unique item is less about the car's functionality and more about the art and craftsmanship that it embodies.

Looking ahead, Santoz has ambitions to take these wooden creations to new heights. While the current models are non-functional, SSA has begun exploring the possibility of engineering their wooden cars to be more than static art pieces. To bring this vision to life, Santoz hopes to collaborate with Indonesian universities, seeking to merge traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. This endeavor could eventually bring Indonesia’s wooden car artistry to a new level, introducing a generation of wooden cars that are capable of more than simply turning heads.

Events like the IIMS highlight the diversity and innovation that define the modern automotive industry. The show provides a space for creative expressions that stretch beyond the conventional, inviting audiences to appreciate cars not only as vehicles but as canvases for artistry and culture. In a world where high-tech, eco-friendly automotive solutions dominate discussions, SSA’s wooden Ferrari replica serves as a reminder of the timeless beauty found in handmade craftsmanship and the unique allure of natural materials.

As Santoz and his team continue to refine their craft, the impact of their work extends far beyond Indonesia, contributing to global discussions about sustainable design, art in engineering, and the possibilities of blending old-world craftsmanship with contemporary aspirations. This wooden Ferrari replica is more than just a display—it’s an emblem of the imagination and skill that fuel the automotive world, capturing the hearts of car lovers and art enthusiasts across continents.*** [EKA [08092018] | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | PINTEREST ]

After 28 years finally the statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana was completed

Yes, after 28 years, the masterpiece of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) statue was finally completed. As a new icon of tourism in Bali, the long journey from the building process of the statue finally sweetened with its inauguration marked by the presentation of an art performance named "Swadharma Ning Pertiwi," in the area of Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Bukit Ungasan, South Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, at Saturday, August 4, 2018.

The GWK is one of the great masterpieces of Balinese art and culture. When it's still in the development stage, there's so many tourists have come to see it. Therefore, to GWK inauguration event, they made an art performance called Swadharma Ning Pertiwi which involved a line of famous Balinese artists. There were singers Dira Sugandi and Ayu Laksmi, dancers I Ketut Rina and Keni K Soeriaatmadja, as well as choreographer Eko Supriyanto.
The event titled 'Swadharma Ning Pertiwi', was held in order to welcome the completion of the construction of the GWK statue on Saturday, August 8,2018. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2BqXsXz)
"This is a form of appreciation to 120 artists who have been diligent, patient, and always work hard to compile the statue piece by piece, from day to day. Most of them have worked for 28 years," said the initiator and creator of Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, Nyoman Nuarta on the GWK statue inauguration ceremony.

The idea of the GWK statue making since 1989
GWK is deliberately built to be a tourism landmark of Bali. The idea emerged in 1989, but the concept began in 1990, involving the Minister of Tourism at the time, Joop Ave (late), then Ida Bagus Oka (late), Ida Bagus Sudjana (late), and artist Nyoman Nuarta.
The initiator of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) statue, Nyoman Nuarta took a photo with the background of the GWK Statue in Ungasan, Badung, Bali, Tuesday, July 7, 2018. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2L6DlOd)
After obtaining the blessing of President Soeharto in 1993, the artists then conducted socialization in front of members, the leaders of Bali Regional Representative Council, Balinese community leaders and the communities around the GWK location will be built. At the time of the dissemination of the socialization, there was a pro-contra, but the groundbreaking pedestal of GWK statue was successfully implemented in 1997.

Although, the land processing has been carried out around Bukit Ungasan, Jimbaran since 1994-1996, to become what it is today. In its journey, the construction of the GWK statue did indeed experience ups and downs, even when the monetary crisis struck in 1998, Nyoman Nuarta, who at the time had 82 percent of the shares could no longer afford to maintain his ownership. And in 2012, he had to be willing to PT. Alam Sutra Realty Tbk to acquire GWK shares. However, he remains committed to completing the construction of the GWK statue.

The 2nd highest statue in the world
After completion, the GWK statue turned out has a 121 meters tall with weighing up to 3,000 tons. With its height, it means the GWK statue is higher than the Statue of Liberty in New York, which has only 93 meters high.
After 28 years finally the statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana was completed. (Picture from: http://bit.ly/2MmOBLV)
But the statue of GWK is still inferior to the tallest statue in the world, namely Spring Temple Buddha in China, which reaches 153 meters high. Thus, the statue of GWK became the second highest statue in the world.

Physically, the statue of GWK becomes a copper sculpture with the largest cast welding technique in the world. These statue of GWK is the first largest statue to be built with a piece by piece welding system. Because statues like Liberty in New York are generally done with metal cast techniques.

"In simple terms, the scaling of the sculpture is done by cast welding techniques and I have patented this," said Nyoman Nuarta.

A form of proving Indonesia's ability to the world
Indonesia does have many heritage buildings that are known to all over the world, such as the Borobudur Temple. But with the success of the GWK statue built, it becomes a new proof that developing countries like Indonesia can build masterpieces for the world.
"GWK will be proof that we are sovereign in the field of culture and we hope that the world cultural orientation will occur at the GWK Cultural Park because there are not only the statues, but also world cultural forums," said Nyoman Nuarta further.

The following is a video of Nyoman Nuarta, Maestro Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue:
According to the target, this nation's GWK sculpture was completed in August 2018 as one of the best offerings of this nation's children during Indonesia's 73rd independence celebration. Although the statue has been completed, but the surrounding area as a cultural park will continue to be built and developed. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | ASUMSI | TRIBUN NEWS]
