Mysterious red lightning on Earth was photographed from Outer Space

A flash of light in the form of lightning is a normal phenomenon. However, how to a red light flash at the top of the storm? Rarely see it not? On August 10, 2015, the astronauts who are on the International Space Station (ISS) saw a mysterious red flash in the sky of Missouri, United States, and El Salvador. Although it may sound trivial, those lightning is often called a "sprite" was mysterious and continues to be studied by scientists. Recent publications on the trigger of sprite released in Nature Communications on June 29, 2015.

Previously scientists had alleged that feneomena was triggered by gravitational waves in the atmosphere. In his study, Ningyu Liu from the Florida Institute of Technology succeeded in proving that the allegations were true.

According to Liu, a small disturbance in the atmosphere as a result of gravitational waves can grow in the electric field is in the storm and eventually form a sprite.

"Interference with a small size with a large amplitude are the best conditions for the emergence of a sprite," Liu said.

"If the interference is too large, sprite formation impossible. If the magnitude of a minor annoyance, it took a long time for the sprites to form," he said.

EnChroma, a glasses for people with color blindness

We can see bright colors surrounding environment because our eyes have color receptors called cone cells. A healthy and normal eyes have cones that can capture the three primary pigment colors: red pigment, green and blue.

For those who suffer from color blindness, one of the cone cells in the eye is not working properly, so they are not able to distinguish colors correctly. In most cases of color blindness, damage occurs to the red or green cone cells, causing the sufferer trouble distinguishing a variety of colors. In addition, in some cases the cone cells will capture the color spectrum overlap.

EnChroma, an eye lens company founded by an American surgeon creates glasses that are able to restore the function of the receptor cells of damaged eyes. The glasses have filters that can capture light spectrum overlap each other, pushing the "wedge" that makes the frequency of the light collide with each other. By using the glasses, those with color blindness can taste the beautiful range of colors around them through the EnChroma lens.

However, Jay Neitz, an ophthalmologist and professor of ophthalmology at the University of Washington, warned that the EnChroma glasses can not cure the color blindness. Awaits the emergence of the next generation of Nissan Z

To pass on the latest generation of the Z type car variants, Nissan Motor Corp. reportedly preparing a new generation of Nissan Z that will be performed using a crossover model. Even rumored, this new model will be the last series for the 370 Z.

He explained that the latest generation of Nissan Z will be the latest models that fill the sports car segment with affordable prices for young people. This step is a revolution of the Z type trip during this day, since 240 Z was introduced in Frankfrut as sport utility vehicles in 1969.

Certainly will be experienced the decreasing of its engine specifications, tthe latest generation Z type that carries crossover models and reportedly will use a smaller engine and has a capacity of 1.6 liters. the rumors said that the engine used by the Z type is the same engine used by Nissan Juke.

Restoring soil fertility that has been contaminated by oil spills

The oil spillage cases often occurs. Most cases occur as a result of the process in ships, offshore drilling, or shipwreck.

Not only at sea, the oil spills also frequently occurs on land, contaminating the soil and also environment. According to the data, 98% of oil spill cases worldwide occurs on land. Noted, governments and industries around the world spent $10 billion each year to clean up the oil spills.

Accordingly, a number of scientists from Rice University developed the technologies to restore soil fertility and wasted energy from the soil that has been contaminated by the oil spill.

They use a process called pyrolysis, which involves heating the contaminated soil and loss of oxygen content. The process is considered more environmentally friendly than standard combustion techniques previously done.

By doing pyrolysis of the contaminated soil for three hours is not only able to reduce the amount of petroleum hydrocarbons remaining, but also can improve fertility by altering the remaining carbon into charcoal.

Google patented the technology of holes detection in the road surface

Potholes in the road can be problematic even though the most comfortable vehicle, causing damage to cars in the world and can be deadly for motorcycle riders.

Google is now preparing a solution by developing technology to automatically detect holes in the road and then use this data to plan routes that provide a smooth ride.
Potholes cause millions in damage to cars and other vehicles every year. In some areas they get so bad that it can be difficult for motorists to avoid them on a road. The internet giant company has filed a patent that using shock sensors along with vehicle's GPS to map the location of the holes and the uneven segment of road surface.
Google has patented technology for automatically detecting potholes and uneven surfaces on roads as cars drive over them. Sensors in the car would work with the GPS (illustrated) to send information about the road surface to a remote server, which could then be used to produce map routes that give a smoother journey. This information is then collected by a central server and used to produce 'quality report road' before helps give direction to avoid the worst way. Such information may also be forwarded to local authorities and highways agencies to help them determine which areas need to be improved.

Hati Nurani, an Indonesian unique six-wheeled custom car

A black colored sedan with a touch of colorful line looks futuristic and different with cars in general, because comes with six wheels.

This unique car was a custom car that built by the renowned Indonesian automotive modifications house, Kupu-Kupu Malam Auto Custom. According to Kunto B Wibisono, General Manager of the Yogyakarta-based company, this beautiful demo car is named 'Hati Nurani' or in English meaning as 'Conscience'.

This car was built with the extreme modifications. And the name is purely born of a philosophy. And Kupu-Kupu Malam believes that the car modification does not simply rely on the design, specification, and money.

Kunto said, this car gets an extreme touch with the addition of its length. However, the Chevrolet original chassis retained. And he admitted the car's concept is inspired by the grasshopper, no wonder if then the car is equipped with the 'scissors' door as a manifestation of its wings.

On the car mounted the headlights from Eagle Eyes Projector and Autovision for lighting systems. The system of Paint 90 Line Waterbase is used to paint this car, plus an additional three-dimensional tribal graphics with silver-colored, red, blue, and yellow. 

When you get to the inside, the interior of this car looks sophisticated. There are the electric seats, gear lever and pedals, which are all special tailor-made. In front of the gear lever there is a row of air suspension system buttons for each wheels.

This unique six-wheeled sedan is equipped with a DVD 2-DIN sound system, Venom  Monoblock amplifiers (5 unit), Venom four inches amplifiers (3 unit), Venom 12 inches subwoofer (4 unit), Venom 10 inches subwoofer (6 unit), a set of Venom split speakers, 5 sets of coaxial speakers, 2 unit of 7-inch DVD monitors, 40 unit of 3.5-inch small monitor, and 2 unit of Venom capacitor banks.

While for its engine, the car mounted a Chevrolet Small Block engine that has a capacity of 5,700 cc. "This is a favorite machine for vehicle modifications, because its components easily found," said Kunto. With these beautiful appearance, it is no wonder if the 'Hati Nurani' has crowned as the Champion on the Djarum Black Autoblackthrough 2011.
