Project 1408 to birth Ducati's Super Superbike

The latest news says that Project 1408 of Ducati prepared to give birth to a motorcycle production which featured a carbon fiber frame. This project claimed will give birth the Ducati's super superbike.

Big motor bike specially developed by Ducati R & D with the background knowledge of Ducati Corse used in MotoGP racing event. By using a monocoque frame with MotoGP quality control standards such as Active Transient Thermography, Ultrasonic Phased Array and Computed Axial Tomography.

The monocoque frame through a mix of carbon fiber and resin are processed at high temperatures as well as tuck-aluminum alloy coded 7075. The combination of the material believed to make up the bike's weight to 1.6 kg lighter or eroded by 38% when compared to the Ducati 1299 Panigale that also uses an aluminum monocoque frame.

The weight of the swing arm of the Project 1408 motorcycle is lighter 900 grams or 18% versus the aluminum swing arm used on the 1299 Panigale. This bike will reportedly be shown for the first time at the EICMA 2016 on November 7, 2016 in Milan, Italy.
