New China's electric sports car tries to penetrate the US market

Qiantu Motor, a startup electric car manufacturer from China want to expand the market by bringing its new K50 electric sports car to United States (US). According to the chairman of Qiantu Motor, Lu Qun, that his company has built a dozens of the K50 sports cars and has been undergoing testing.

"We pointed to the US because it is an open market, where we see opportunities for our car," said Qun, as reported by the Carscoops on Friday, September 2, 2016.

Meanwhile, until now Qiantu Motor yet to announce the sale price its cars for the China market. Qun only said, "The price of electric cars will be much more affordable than Tesla."

The electric car is equipped with two electric motors able to produce a maximum power of 408 hp and peak torque of 650 nm. Through the power of it enables the K50 sports car accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 200 km/h.

Although the battery capacity has not been revealed, but the company claims that the K50 sports car can reach a distance as far as 300 kilometers on a single charge. *** [EKA | FROM VARIOUS SOURCES | CARSCOOPS]
