An awesome face of the Chevrolet's future

Although it has been a long time but on this occasion we wanted to showing a concept car that is quite interesting to be discussed in an article. For a nostalgic look back at the same time.

It is a roadster concept car made by General Motors (GM), named 'Chevrolet MiRay' which was first introduced to the public at once crowned as the best concept car at the Seoul Motor Show 2011. The car that uses hybrid technology was judged to have the advantages of environmentally friendly technologies, slick design, and high comfort.
According to Mike Arcamone, President and Chief Executive Officer of GM Korea claimed the car was offered an alternative in the future. Because the hybrid technology is believed to be the car of the future technology.

"As the name implies, MiRay, which means the future, this car offers an alternative to (the vehicles needs) in future," he said as quoted from Autoevolution on Monday, April 11, 2011. Moreover Chevrolet uses carbon fiber material to build the parts of this car body.

Chevrolet MiRay equipped with a conventional four-cylinder petrol engine that has a capacity of 1,500 cc, turbocharged and two electric motors. Both of the electric-powered motor mounted on its front wheels, each of which can generate a power of 15 kW or about 20 hp.

Interestingly this concept car using the technology of Kinetic Regenerative Energy System (KERS). Thus, its litihium ion battery will be charged aberrant electrical energy again when the power reserve is running out.
The machine will recycle the wasted energy in a car when the driver is braking. Power is used for charging the battery. As a result, in addition to the car would not run out of power and the mileage distant became increasingly.
