There is an ancient mummy inside a Buddha statue

A Buddha statue on display at the Museum of Drent, Netherlands, has recently attracted the attention of the public. Because the statue of meditating Buddha, there is a mummified body in it.

This was confirmed after the Buddha statue from China was scanned by using a CT-scan in a Dutch hospital. As reported by the IO9.com on Monday, February 23, 2015, according to Drent Museum, inside the statue there is a mummified Liuquan monk who lived around 1100 BC. The Buddha statue is a historical objects of 11th to 12th century belonged to a Chinese Meditation School.

The Drents Museum, an art and history museum in Assen, The Netherlands, arranged for it to be viewed through a CT scanning machine. The certainty of the existence of the mummified body behind the statue known as the famous hospital in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, ie Meander Medical Centre to scanning and endoscopic tests to the meditating Buddha statue.

With the assistance of some hospital employees, a medical expert examine the chest and abdominal cavity of the mummy and then take samples of liver and abdomen.

"He (the physician) made a spectacular discovery in the (mummy) organs. There are found all kinds of rotten, the rest of the paper is printed in the ancient Chinese character," said an official statement from the Dutch hospital as reported from Robswebstek.com.

Hospital researchers also took the bone samples for DNA testing. This mummy research will be published in a Master Liuquan monograph.
