Evora, a sign of the Lotus new life

Although still regarded as a compact sports car manufacturer was being idle, Lotus trying to show their existence. This time, the British car brand which is now controlled by Malaysia's Proton-launched Lotus Evora 400, with a fresh look as reported by Carscoop on February 18, 2015.

Lotus calling it a new variant, Evora 400 as claimed has got a new twist in the V6 turbo middle engine that has a 3.5-liter of capacity with a power of 400 hp and torque of 410 Nm. When compared to the previous model, the Evora S, the engine power is increased up to 45 hp and 10 Nm of torque.

With more power, acceleration from 0-100 kph also claimed 0.3 seconds faster than the Evora S which takes 4.2 seconds. The maximum speed reached 300 kph and when tested in Hethel circuit in Norfolk, UK, with a time of faster 6 seconds per lap than the previous model.

According to Lotus, "More than two-thirds of the Lotus Evora 400 is the new stuff." In addition to a focus on improving the performance of the machine, do not miss the Lotus also provide an aesthetic touch to the exterior. Display of Evora 400 looks more sporty with corners sharper body. This compact sports car also claimed has a weight that was more lighter 22 kg than the previous model.

"Lotus Evora 400 will be the fastest model ever produced, has the ability that can only be offset by a much more expensive cars. Also looks more sporty combined with the ability supercar," said boss of Lotus Cars, Jean-Marc Gales.
