Honda will release the Gold Wing 40th Anniversary Edition

Currently, the Honda Gold Wing was nearly 4 decades since it was first introduced in 1975 with the GL1100 models. And to celebrate their success, Honda will release Gold Wing 40th Anniversary Edition will be a 2015 model. This bike comes with some modifications and also the color updates that are becoming more classic.

As quoted from Autoevolution, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer presents two new shades namely Silver Metallic with a choice of Prominence Red or Graphite Black. Meanwhile, the Honda Gold Wing Special Edition is also comes with the frame and wheels in black color. As a special edition, Honda also put the emblems on some parts, such as a passenger backrest, locks, front fairing, as well as the trunk lid.

Modifications that made by Honda in the motorcycle is also used by the Indonesian Presidential Guard (Paspampres) includes new fairing design to minimize wind resistance, especially in the legs, and leg warmers from the hot air coming from the engine.

For the saddle itself, Honda claims if this Gold Wing special edition offers better comfort for long trips. Some sections also have changed to increase the comfort of grips, seat and footrest heated and has applied several new features such as the audio system and cruise control.
