Mercedes-Benz launches new SUV concept

Mercedes-Benz launched the latest SUV Coupé concept at Auto China Beijing 2014, which is suppose to rival the BMW X6. Mercedes-Benz Concept Coupé SUV introduced after BMW showed a large SUV with a sleek look and solid interior.

The concept that looks similar to the BMW X6 is a combination of SUV based on the M-Class platform. While coupé models take the S-Class design. The surplus, a hidden door handles and side windows without frame with four wheels wearing 22-inch tires make it has high ground clearance.

This SUV has a length of nearly 5 meters, 2 meters wide and only 1.75 meters tall, this concept looks very dynamic, according Inautonews. "(The car Concept) sensual as a coupé-SUV visionary," says Mercedes-Benz Head of Design, Gorden Wagener.

"This SUV Coupé concept stands out thanks to its extreme proportions and thus interpret our hallmark Mercedes coupe perfect," he added. He also said that its superior sporty design, depicting a sense of modern luxury and aesthetic aspirations.

But unfortunately the interior of the SUV concept is not shown. However, Mercedes-Benz management said that the car is equipped with air suspension and handling are at a superior level.

For drivetrain, Mercedes-Benz entrust the 3.0-liter engine twin-turbocharged V6, which sends power through 9G-Tronic nine speed transmission with torque converter lock-up, to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
